No weirder than the newer 'Stangs or a Caddy's.

I have. The cheapest I've seen is nearly 300 for a low quality printing of around 10-12 inchs. Just for the hull alone. And this doesn't even cover the prep work needed for getting the model ready to go to the printer for inspection & conversion. Lots of preps and equally lots of post work and not really worth it unless you get a sizable model done with a laser 3D printer. $$$ Mainly the prep work is the killer because you have to build your models like you would for a tradional model builder only digitally.

Uhoh! According to Nintendo UK the Wii will be regional. http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=19686

Ah! Sorry my bad I meant 5th gen.
-
He will be. It's a visual version of "this isn't YOUR Transformers anymore" cue. Mid-ending he changes from a 2nd gen to a 4th gen via nano-handwavium.

Yeah that would've been entertaining! And alot better then the script, because then it would've been a romantic comedy that every TF fan would've passed on even without the image releases. But overall I agree that the real stars didn't get enough air time, but that's a cost issue.

Pretty much and the developers more then helped by drooling over the larger capcities. I'll wait awhile mainly because we've not seen much of any real games. Sure I'd love to have the one title, but for only one game.... And throw in the annoying fact that Sony's aiming for online gaming also, which I don't have the broadband for and have little interest in... Well right now I'm in Wait & See mode.

I personally hope that the WETA project gets a revamped art direction along the lines of the show instead of throwing money just to keep people employeed. But with the announcement I think we now know why it was delay'ed. Gainax pulled the plug.

Is the "official" VF-11 side drawing really off?
chrono replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Fan Works
As someone who's been slamming their heads against the concept & final art I can only suggest that you do your best now and let someone else "prove" your version wrong. Just remember that unless the orginal artist directly tells you that your version is correct the offical printed material is completely correct. Kinda makes you wish you had the email for his agent doesn't it! -
@Hiriyu, lol! so that was you huh. Hope you have fun over there! Me, I'm just there to look at the designs and laugh at the wannbe game designs. MILESTONE ARCHIEVED! Yesterday I started carving into the ventral amidships of this project with concerns about the size of the concept arts panel lines. This has always been an issue that's floated around in the back of my mind and one that could cause tons of headaches if not down well the first time. Well it's now a NON-issue! Using my Picket model I used the size of one key panel lines, that was in the concept art, and used it on the larger ship. BINGO!!! Dancing & Drinking Time!! The size is PERFECT which means I now have the correct panel line sizes for the next 4 models!!! This means not only is this panel line size good to use that also makes lesser panel lines useable, but EVERY previous detail greeble from the Picket model!!! This will save me positively HUGH amounts of building time and design time! The 2 images are minimal but they show a close-up and a distance shot of the test.

mpchi, Yeah A7 pre-judged the show fairly badly, but then again post NGE stuff gets unreasonablity set-up on a higher level. Most Robot anime is stupid fun action anyways and should be viewed as such.

Macross World = 4chan All the hate & designs plus p0Rn! SFM is pretty much my roost and if I want images or get updated on anime I use 4chan.

I'm like sketchley in that I've watched it and thought it wasn't too bad, with a somewhat refreshing "Left turn" ending. I'm something of a fans of the designs though because they work so well. I'm passing on this stuff though because it sounds like Anno has nothing left and Gainax just wants some quick money. Personally I REALLY hope that Anno uses the RE-Take doujin material because it's such a great story that deals with post ending issues quite well, resolving close to nothing, and from Asuka's viewpoint.
-
ReScaling before the the primary hull gets permanently smoothed. Probably the last time for awhile that the full ship will be seen. Because of the amount of polygons involved I've broken up the mesh into 3 peices so it makes working on the hull easier.

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/article.php?id=9464 Maybe with any luck Anno will rip-off some of the NGE doujin that has better storylines. *MMmmmm RE-Take*

JBO, Pluto's demotion was political & not fact based because if they didn't change it's status then the KBO crowd would've cry foul over similar KBO sized objects being left out being called planets and practically no astonomer wanted MORE planets because that would've given someone else credit. With the term 'dwarf planet' being a handwavium move in the vein of the previous Pluton crap that they were first attempting. The only agruements the KBO crowd every had against Pluto was it's size and slightly comet shaped orbit. Which is pretty sad when you look at the KBO's orbits being far more comet like. As for the orbital clearing bit... no planet in the system actually qualifies for it because of the number of transorbital objects crossing those paths. Also since orbit path clearing is done by gravity influence and since Pluto has so little gravity that it's mostly a Binary system instead of a planet moonlet pairing it's orbit path would be far smaller. Like I said they'll know more about Pluto and the scope of the KB area when the probe goes there. Personally I wanna know why the rush suddenly to change it when you'll be getting solid info within 7 years!?! I've read some sweet quotes from scientists on each side of the issue during the week it was voted on. But the best one was: "When science votes we all lose."
-
Pretty much. But these don't. I can alot skilled toy designers trying to make the toy versions look better though!
-
Agreed! Science is supposed to be specific in nature not delibrately vague. The only reason Pluto is now a non-planet is because someone was able to bring into the discussion solar system formation theory and every astronomer would do anything to get that theory proven. However because they've moved pluto into a new catagory they've now thrown every elipticle 'planet' into questionable light because they've stated, by infurence(spl), that elipticle objects can't clear their own orbital paths. Shoddy near sighted & rushed science, especially given how if they'd wait a few years the Pluto bound probe would've given then TONS more factual information to work with!

OMP! Totally forgot about my favorite creator/director/ex-mangka Satoshi Kon. See Perfect Blue & Millennium Actress and then be freaking stunned at what strong & not so strong female lead characters can look like. Then be depressed because you've got to go back to the weak ones in anime series.
-
Currently, in post GB2 era, I'd have to say NHK it's an excellent mind fart of an anime that looks AND sound good! It's gotta be one of the best aurally pleasing animes that has come out in years! And to top it off it's an anime about a social problems! LOL! Funny yet serious. Proper, yet crap loads of ERO.

* @Twoducks* When did heavly armored against damage equal "chucky parts that get in the way"? And since they are alien robots who are YOU to say that they are in the way to begin with! Totally sound like you want farting EVA realism(completely unnessasary give how it's SF) instead of TF's. Twoducks your just like every other closed-minded idiot out there when it comes to wanting something so bad that you could careless how damage it does to the basic premise. That's why there is so many shitty sf tv shows and movies being made. You don't try to make the impausible pausible by ruining the basic designs. You roll with it and put out a movie that's well written, acted, and flimed.
-
^ An excellent example of how fans are delude themselves into thinking something new has got to be better just for the sake of having the movie available! If this were so then they'd be heavly armored against all unknowns and not have their guts just hanging out, also they'd have fewer moving parts too. And throw out the stupidity of the 'Thier aliens so they have to be foreign!' agruement! Because you've forgotten the old slogan: "Transformers Robots In Disguise". Oh and limiting them to toy technological transformations would've given us a better look with sentience. The freaking Citron ad shows that. David Hingtgen, Prime's stacks are down on his right forearm, ala Gundam style. You've hit the problem on the head! You just can't tell who is what! There are barely any large identifing markings! I get the impression that whoever designed these fell asleep on a pile of mixed robot books with the Gundam & Five Star Story's being at the top.
-
Not many people are and you thought the last 3 Star Wars movies raped your childhood! I think that this is gonna be Masters of The Universe stinkage level. So far the old Citron transformer was better. Oh designs that didn't look like they've been ripped out of every possible japanese source, except the orginal source. And why the F!!! does Prime look like a gundam model and Blackout look like something from Zeon!

The Official Aim for the Top! Gunbuster Thread
chrono replied to Noriko Takaya's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
There's a synopsis of the episode in this post. 426308[/snapback] Thanks for that link! They point out some very interesting stuff, though I think I touched on one of the points pages back about Lark's GB age. -
Yep that length makes this anime a very very niche market and hopefully Animeigo didn't sink alot of money into it so when it fails it won't hurt them to badly.
