Well the way she handled DL's kid shows that it's more or less mental in nature because when he attempted to run away she was taking a shower. Also the kid used his power on the door lock and that would mean that she could also warp reality, something that she's not been shown doing. It would be best to leave it at 'Illusionary'.

As we've seen with the last episode Candice deals with the kid her powers are indeed mental. And hers is more versatile than the Haitian's who's powers are sight and touch levels. But I agree that it does seem 'iffy' at best although we don't know what other powers Future Sylar had either.

Ok without spoilers. I thought that the Sylar story was straight-up corn on the comb silly, but it shows that they are rushing the story along because they needed at least 2 episodes to flesh the story out without it being overly corny. It's nice to get a firm answer on Peter's powers, and I like how Peter and Claire have grown close. She's really been continuously stabbed in the back by her close relatives and even though Peter does what he does it really goes far for Claire(is she a moe-blob or what!). And finally between Sylar and 'you know who' did he blink or did Sylar break it?

I gotta say that they would be very smart to tie-up the 'lose ends' and end the "Save the cheerleader save the world." story arc with a mild cliffhanger.
-
Creepy, but in a neat way.

Wow, talk about strange partners! And nobody was ever confirmed about being the human bomb. Though from what I'm seeing is that saving Claire meant giving Peter the needed powers to survive Hiro's stab and I don't think that a 'dead' Peter would be able to explode. It's also hard to tell where Hiro is at. I mean he did a parallel/alternate universe time jump when he was involved in the shot out in Vegas.

Venom/Brock has been Spidey's best villian, with only Goblin/Osborn being either First or at least tied. Every other villian is straight campy filler without direct relation, with only Felica/Blackcat being except. SM3 has just too many characters to juggle & look well doing it.

*sigh* At least it's not a complete Halo rip-off. But it's just blah with all of the 'visual details' they shoved on the basis design. The shoulders and leg crap needs to be bigger so it looks like a proper Gundam rip-off. Simply too industrial. The helmut's fine and has alot of camera friendly angles going for it!

Just before Parkman shot Glasses(i can never remember his name) didn't they show Nathan's & Peter's mother laying on the floor next to the desk with a shot in the head?

He's had them since he came on screen. But I get the idea that his powers, or the way that he uses them, require that he sees the person. Or it just maybe that the writers can't write themselves outta that hole...

Macross 25th Anniversary! New TV series coming!
chrono replied to wolfx's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I would bet they are just trying to cash in on the 25th Anniversary rather than anything else. Because non-HD anime at HD levels doesn't look good at all unless you have a sub 20-25 inch screen, since there simply is too much detail lacking. -
Macross 25th Anniversary! New TV series coming!

Ditto! But I view Macross Zero & Aquarion as CG test runs for the 25th Ann. material However I'm simply in waiting mode. kresphy, Bandai is stating 2008 not 2007??? -
So we really don't know. *and to continue on with the FF jokes* Peter's "Auto-HP" would've dealt with the cut/scar it because he doesn't have that much control over it due to it being instinctive behavior. That was hinted at in the previous episode. Remember that Sylar was "future painting" the same scene that the artist had just finished. Nathan as president. Maybe the various powers work within different parts of the brain, and that Peter's and Sylar's powers are too wide spread to halt. By-the-way. It looks like Sylar had alot of fun getting new powers especially with all of the raw political power he welds as president. Hopefully he never gets the school kid with the vacuum powers.....

Now that we've had the little "Days of Future Past" episode, who will kill off our "NIMROD" character. Linderman Act? Why not just call it the Kelly Act and be done with it!! I've forgotten though when/where did FUTURE Sylar get the cold powers?

Do you really think that he would've had a job there anyways even if he didn't resign? Ask yourself this: If you were interviewed by an International newspaper and directly called your customers "morons and retarded for not liking the quality of your product, and to STFU and except it!". Do you really believe that you would have a job with that company much longer? Because that's EXACTLY what he did. Also I don't expect Keiko Mimori to remain with Gainax much longer either ----- Thanks for linking the article. It really shows how "professionals" should remain ignorance of the criticism that is aimed at their works.

I haven't seen a 'dark' movie/tv show in the last 10-15 years. And the last movie & TV show I saw with remotely intelligent lighting was Event Horizon, Pitch Black and FarScape season 1. :/
-
Don't forget LeLoche of the Rebellion did theirs as episode 8.5. And I find it completely understandable from the stand point of what happened in Eps 2 & 3 and them being drawn out and filler laden.

That looks horrible. They didn't need to slap a freaking glowy blob on his chest to show that he has heart issues. A simple brushed metal blob under a thin sheer tank would be more than enough. And I'm beginning to think that nearly every director in Hollywood has eye problems because all of the current stuff is badly over lite. Downey looks more like drugged up Anthony Stark(IRON MAN) than a slightly drunk Tony Stark.
-
So they are going 3D with the EVA's huh.... I gotta say the new changes are lacking in consistency. The EVA's have a lowered amount of detail yet the new symbols have a higher and busier detail level. None of the changes, from what I see in the image, are really worth the time & money involved.

Wiki weeboo. Otaku power had little to due with this. He was VERY stupid when he and the animation posted their names along with their comments. Virtually no business would put up with that, because it gives the company a bad name(dishonors). Stepping down was the honorable thing to do.
-
I'm not so weebo that I follow the directors around. Can you give me a name? You do realize that I was being factious, right? Besides the concept work, some special promo images and the increasingly rare penciled storyboarding. It is indeed mostly digital from the Walcom drawing forward and the overall production effort involved is something around 40-60% of what it was before.
-
I've never bought the "Director is responsible!" for what is simply poor animation that is supposed to be under the control of Quality Control. Frankly I think they attempted to get cheap (like how? it's all freaking digital!) with their production in order to save money, and attempted to play this off on the Director involved with it when the fans cried "WTF IS THIS CRAP!" over it. I also think that Gaynax did it intensional for promotion reasons. But then again the animation quality HAS been pretty (4chan) QUALITY since the beginning.
