    that big gun... in Alien, they first thought the beacon was a distress, eventually they determine it was a warning. The chair maybe part of a weapon, but looking at the few pics so far, its much more than a communications/navigation device im still convinced some kind of disease is contracted that has something to do with the SJ's and perhaps the zenomorphs... maybe.

    anybody know who the hell is this 'Perfect World' affliate that seems to have joined with Cryptic? i noticed how the logon to STO changed, with the option of logon from PWE or Cryptic (with the notice that once you switch from Crytptic to PWE, you cant revert back). I never heard of their so-called games. are they a Euro or Asian-based?

    here's a thought: what if part of the plot involves infected humans turning INTO the space jockey's? the one still pic of someone looking like they are either being blow away from a explosion beind them... or they are gonna DFA the human in the lower right of the pic... the image of the DFA himself... does his head look... funny?

    actually you have to thank HG, 20th Century Imports, Revel Models and FASA for helping anime's growth in the US (depending on where in the US you seen 'products/productions' from any of those IPs. Growing up in Cleveland, i saw Star Blazers and G-Force (two TV serials that came to light due to inspiration from Star Wars) as a youngster, seen (and consumed like a retard on crack) the 1/200-scale Pitaban Macross models at the Toys-R-Us in Great Northern (when it was still in the strip mall), and was given as a gift a tiny transforming SDF-1 toy by a friend. Then i saw Episode 5.... well there is another thread of this topic.... point being, the above companies, hook & crook, started the fire that slowly grew into the anime craze of the 90's. Who did what exactly what depends where you were in 1985... or, as Beltane comments, IF it aired on Local stations where you lived in 1985-86...

    i, apparently, was smarter than all of you. I served 20 years in the Navy. Nobody ever shot at me (fortunately.) that i know of. Space:AAB was one of those shows that might have stayed on longer, had it been on someone else's network. wasnt it on when B5/DS9 was on (and was Fox's entry in that genre at that time)?

    in thinking about the timelines and preventions, distribution rights and stuff, when MF came out, was it only sold to japanesse networks or did it get airtime outside japan. If so, where?

    ive not played Multi yet for BF3 (PC). right now im taking a break because im nerd raging from SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN. i cant seem to kill the guy in the bathroom for pt4. either my mouse imputs are wrong or i mistime it but i consistantly cant get the kill. sssssssssssooooooooooooooooo F&*^ing nerd mad about LOL... any suggestions (or better yet? cheat codes?)

    thats why i thought that aspect of the end of MF was disturbing. Because the way it seemed the whole of the Colony Fleet was behind Leon's propaganda. They seemed very happy to go to war, even when they effectively taken the planet from the Varja in the end. I know i stated this before but that attitute was very prevalent in japanese society about.... oh.... 60-70 years ago. Delusion is often used as a excuse to be allowed to do bad things... can Star Trek's timeline (sans Mirror Universe) say the same? but they were NOT the only ones. In the end, i think Might Makes Right, is the only moral to MF-TV's story. The good guys 'won' but but it wasnt moral, from God's POV...

    Agreed. You play a game (either table top with friends or a Consule/PC game) for the joy of the game, not the guts if it's got Clan Buttzilla. Just some of you seem to not want to play those types of games (and have the addasity to call them bad. what? if the mech isn't Gundamn A$$wing, then it's a poor design? Is that really the criteria for what makes a good game or good mecha? no, it shouldnt. you have your opinion, VF5SS but your opinion is not the Macross World community at large ,neighter is mine. what -IS- the opinion at large is what we individually like or dislike.

    yeah, that they got screwed by TCI's 'snake venom' potion. Humble pie says they wanted NOTHING to do with the macross imagry (their version of the Anti-something) so of course they dumped it. painfully with a lot of regret.perhaps thats why we only seen very few attempts at battletech merchantdicing after that. Either the major toy companies would have nothing to do with FASA (because of perception) or FASA was especially cautious from their experiances with toy companies.

What is the problem with BT? you hate circling in 5 circles from a Medium Laser to the Left Torso that much? Its a Pen & Paper game, first and foremuch. b*tching about how wrong or screwed up the various Mechwarrior titles is retarded. Its a pain to code a game to make it work the way you want. its also a pain to code a game while also not violating copyright or other factors (example: the look & game play comparisions of Activition's Mechwarrior 2 series, Microprose's Mechwarrior 3 or Microsoft's Mechwarrrior 4 series, three different in function and game play because they were not allowed to do the same, use previous game mechanics/code, etc.) if all you're gonna do is POOP on the subject, please be polite and walk away, sir. (a first! i used CIVIL words as opposed to gut instinct typical PW wordage!)
