DB, you are the AWESOME. But there's the ink then there's the wrenches. just because it's law doesnt mean someone will still follow it to the letter (just to amount someone pays them to do their jobs)...

i have no idea for foreign ships and disposition but the Iowa BB's... i think your line of questioning should start and learning the process of how folks go about getting a ship for musuem purposes (to include what you gotta do to make such a ship into a museum, EPA regs eta). thats why i think the movie tanks. the type of work needed to make a ship safe for civilian use, pretty much prevents a return to military use. had they just tried the idea of using the guns, while parked, i would have believed it more (and cheered more) and i know the guns are spiked. they would have to be i would imagine.maybe you should research the number of ships that have been such as reefs (such as my first ship, the ex-Guadalcanal LPH-7, which ironically at one point was desired as a museum ship by the Intrepid NYC folks) or Classified Target Practice (example, the ex-America CV-66). the Navy has been more agressive to lower the number of reserve decom ships because the costs to maintain them are too much to warrent the effort... derp.

Prometheus - on Blu-Ray and DVD Oct. 9, 2012

if im paying $7.50 for me & the misses, i want as much pain, gore and lovely asset shots as required.as for all the bitching about differences between Alien, Aliens & Prometheus? You assume that the tech aboard the Sulaco, the Norstromo & Prometheus should be the same or even simular? different vendors, different owners, different safety standards... to me, in how i see things around me, my experiances, the differences WOULD exist in the Zenomorph universe. think about it. The Sulaco could have been built at Newport News, VA; the Promethues build in Silcon Valley and the Nostromo? at LTV steel in Lorain, Ohio... maybe the muffler shop down the street. ya'll really bitching about NOTHING, just being anxious for the film to be out... like me? really, you make people think your a troll, sir. behave. NOW. No, not you Penpen... -

spoken like a civilian without a clue, LOL . PPE isn't supposed to be sexy, its supposed to be Personal Protective Equipment..... Though some safety glasses made to Z-85 (sp?) specs ARE sexy looking safety glasses... So i'll assume that, in the end, our beloved zenomorphs are derived from a unholy union of Squidward Tenticles and Space Jockey? Now the question begs: is/are the folks that met the tri-head snake and get attacked the Squidward tenticlez or the Space Jockies? If former, how do some of our humans become the space jockies (if they do at all. it could be the space jockies ARE a separate species and the humans are feeder material for the squids...) yeah, hentai. If i brought my littlest one (who loves the hell outta Spongbob) to see this, he would sh*t through the earth in fear... -

i just had a horrible thought. All the teasers we've seen, the extra bullsh*t/websy crap... will lead to a crappy movie. Meh, what ever. just looking at the worm-downer gif on that website has given me the hibejebi's... Derp. -

only (ONLY) complaint? because they are in space, i would imagine no flight surfaces would move since they dont impact movement (its all veniers in space) other than that, very impressive work, sir.

is there the possiblity of 1) They were contracturally required to print a run and 2) they knew it wouldnt sell so they limited the scope of the product to reduce the pain of obligatory failure?

and beer. HOW COULD YOU forget the Beer, dude. Shameeeeeee on you!
-
that cant be correct either. It was built at Newport News... so are you saying maybe Ford-class? *shrug* they might not say exactly (honestly, the Macross PTB never do) but how could it not build such a ship, based on design concepts derived from (later built) Nimitz-class? OR are you suggesting that i should think in terms of Gators, because the Asuka II was built, purposely, with a Stern Gate? Maybe in cannon terms, are first they planned it as Gator, perhaps hiding that capability in apperance of a Super Carrier?
-
as much as i like the Asuka II, that hatchback option was the deal that killed it for believablity. I mean, if it was built based upon the Nimitz-class, where was all the enlisted women's berthing (not to mention Power Plants, Airframes, Paraloft, the hangout for the DCs etc)? plus i would love to know how you get the aft-Steering in a set-up the Asuka II would require... still love the effort.

you mean 'Hero' ships. Thats the term i've seen coined to justify the creation of the VF-171 for the cannon fodder birds for MF, vice the VF-19D/S. The VF-19 was TOO heroic (that and it looks retarded with those http://www.macross2....uperbooster.htm huge FAST pack on the shoulders in Battroid mode) for MF.uh...as for M0... how can the VF-0 not be a flagship machine for its own series? and heres a thought: maybe in Japan, the VF-11 didnt have much of a fan base (until M:TR came to be) but im sure a lot of folks on this side of the Pacific took a real shining to the T-Bolt III (probably because its sooo much better than the equally ugly-compared-to-the-Metal-Siren: The VF-4 in Battroid mode...) Off Topic slightly but ive seen a Avatar of a VF-19 with VF-25-type FAST packs (i was told by PM that the image was a clip from the 2nd MF movie).... was there really such a bird in that 2nd movie?
-
*yahns* and Cruise as lead?
-
love the model. still think its retarded to use a VF-25 era gunpod (it shouldnt be able to transform with it installed in Fighter mode, its so long compared to a proper VF-19 Bulpup-type)

the art reminds me of that Pazzy-ik polish guy that did several Battletech/Mechwarrior4 theme pics (especially ones with the clan Cougar or Shadowcat) about a decade ago...
-
ok.... guess im gonna enjoy three erections today.... Very impressive work... Now to nitpick (hehe) usually the sensor-thingie thats under the forarm assembly is a single lense (assuming that its not a venier port). Also because the forward Engine Module of the FF-2001 starts within the upper thigh of the engine nacelle, you should only see the air ducting with shadows at the bottom pivot... (After glancing with more detail at the Fighter Break, can i suggest that you: play with the position of the flight surfaces, as well as the Engine Exhaust Cans (since they provide direction input as well). do that, and you got your art to Epic Levels, sir... as it stands, they are almost there, as is...) but im still enjoying the mechaerection that your art causes... please, do more?  damn... i looked at the close-ups... that INSANE batsh*t detailed... Gentlemen i think these pics ARE Epic (just barely)... anyone see the SDF poster in the background?

wouldnt another reason to remake SDFM would be to shed the stain that the original still has? when they look at the original, can they not Help but remember that a upstart Gyjen company also owns the rights? making a reboot would be carthic i'd imagine...

guess we'll have to wait until the DVD comes out to see if they ever did film enough material for a R-rated CvC film...
