Gundam 0080 and 0083 are my recommendations to you. Great mecha, military, and battles. 801 TTS Airbats is an OVA based on a military airshow team, but is a comedy. Gasaraki offers a more realistic look at mecha battles and has a heavy military focus. Getter Robo: Armageddon is one of my favorites for its over-the-top action. Try Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex.

The dub of Nanako's voice is pretty annoying in English, but the series does have some fun moments even if it is pretty pointless. The epitome of fan-service!

The series is really good. I love the suspense and action, but my girlfriend is a bigger fan of the show than I am! She watches religiously and I'm too busy during the week to catch all the episodes so I just avoid them when they air. I pick up the dvd sets to get it all and watch in concentrated bursts.

Glad you're okay, man. I did something similar when I had my learner's permit and my mom was riding with me. I accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake and nailed a guard rail (only at about 15mph), but she was pissed. It was in traffic and she just told me to get out, took the wheel, and we drove off. No insurance form necessary, officer, we'll just head on home if you don't mind.

Spider-thing looks halfway decent, but Gorilla Tron is horrible. What ass-monkey designed that thing!?

That does look kinda neat. I'm all for different VF-1 variants with new color schemes. Makes it a little more interesting. Wonder if they'll release anything else? GPB armor would be cool.

I think M. Night will do a decent job, but not if Brendan Fraser is in the film. Come on, Superman is not a comedy. The guys way too goofy to be Clark Kent.

UPS is the worst. They've delivered two packages to me that went to my old addresses from over two years ago! The packages themselves had the correct address, but UPS put their own incorrect sticker address on and fouled it up. I'm really lucky I still know my old neighbors and they could tell me.

Man, this show rocked! It was all about pointless action and let the plot be damned! Seriously, if you're looking for a good action anime to cheer you up after watching Now and Then, Here and There or Grave of the Fireflies then this show is your cure. I'm not familiar with the past Getter shows and it took a couple episodes to figure everything out, but I got sucked in by the over-the-topness.

Getting the chestplates to lock was really difficult on both of mine. I had to loosen the screws so that it would slide into place, but it's still pretty tough to get in and out.

The Super "O" is awesome. It doesn't get any better. The Elint has it's good and bad points. We're talking about a non-combative scout plane. How unexciting did you expect it to be?

The closest thing we'll get over here is the Arch Enemies series. They're 1/100 scale which I like a little better than 1/144 of the Fix series. They're not as ultra detailed and no cool display box, but a pretty decent series all considered.

I wonder if the VT-1 armor fits on the VF-1D? Are the attachments the same? Guess I'll have to find out when mine arrives <_

I usually pick up the R1 releases if I can afford them and if they're priced around $50 for the whole set. As soon as the set gets over that mark I typically look for a good quality bootleg. It's simple math and I haven't found a bad boot set that wasn't already documented on the review site I-A. Paying $100+ for Escaflowne, Trigun, Gundam Wing, G Gundam, etc. is just too much.

Not feeling the head, but the idea for Alternators is great. Back to the G1 roots for the most part with realistic looking cars turning into robots!
