  1. Considering the VF-22 developed as essentially a YF-21 with FAST packs built in, it doesn't surprise me that it wouldn't have them. Vostok 7
  2. Yeah, these are nothing like the old Micro Machines which were of course gashapon-tastic. The material is a little stiffer/harder than used on the micro machines. Also, the micro machines had no die cast. I don't really feel these Hot Wheels ones were a ripoff at all, it just would have been nice if they used a different material (such as ABS) for the plastic parts, especially since these are marketed towards collectors. The Reliant is about 6 inches long and 3 1/4 inches wide. It's also pretty hefty since the whole main fuselage is diecast. The Refit Enterprise is about 6 3/4 inches long and just a hair over 3 inches wide. So they aren't small, especially not micro machine small. Vostok 7
  3. Those "1/50" Hot Wheels ships have hit the stores. I found the Enterprise-A and USS Reliant at Target tonight. They're running about $12.99. Overall they are very nice pieces, just a few issues. The Reliant is almost perfect, being that the main fuselage is mostly diecast and just the nacelles and the upper deflector structure are plastic (some sort of hard PVC kind of material). Unfortunately, on the Enterprise-A, only the "engineering" section is diecast, the rest is that odd hard PVC (I say hard PVC because it holds shape OK and is stiff but is bendy at the same time). Unfortunately, on the Enterprise, this leads to a rather large amount of gashapon disease meaning just about every surface attached to the engineering section juts or bends off at some different angle. Pretty disappointing for a $13 "diecast" ship. Would have been nice if they used ABS at the very least instead of some kind of crappy PVC material. Also, the example I have of the Enterprise-A (and all the other ones I saw at the store) is only marked "NCC-1701" and not "NCC-1701-A" meaning it's the Refit ship, which is fine and dandy except that everywhere on the box says it's the Enterprise-A. Otherwise, they are pretty cool. The stands are nice and the ships mount to the stand on a simple ball joint allowing them to be posed. EDIT: Then again, the website linked below shows that Wave 1 is the Refit Enterprise in the pictures, but the box and the main part of the website list it as an Enterprise A. Lovely. Unfortunately, the much cheaper (and also much smaller) Johnny Lightning ships are probably better since they are made of different materials and don't seem to have gashapon disease problems. I hate gashapon disease with a passion, due to my perfectionist nature, and to find it on a $13 "collectors piece" that says "die cast" all over the box is extremely disappointing. Oh, and of course, despite most web sites claiming they are 1/50, they are most definitely NOT (probably more like 1/500 or 1/5000 even, I can never remember Star Trek sizes). They are large, but not THAT large! The Reliant also doesn't appear to be in scale to the Enterprise-A, either, it's actually somewhat larger (I always thought the "saucer" of the Reliant was the same size as the saucer of the Enterprise-A, however on the toy it is larger). http://www.hotwheelscollectors.com/showroo...tline/StarTrek/ Vostok 7
  4. In the TV episode the Virgin Road valkyrie had a single laser, as in, it was a -1A head. But all the official information found otherwise it's always been a standard -1D painted blue. It's assumed that the head was an animation mistake. Vostok 7
  5. X-35 that's what I meant. So many numbers Vostok 7
  6. Sorry Logos, but the X-32 was an ugly duckling. I'm glad the X-33 won. But, I did prefer the YF-23 somewhat over the YF-22. Too bad the F-22 is on the verge of getting canceled now. Vostok 7
  7. Well, in the case of the v1s, the TRU was a darker brown (similar to the v2 TV CF-1A shown in this thread) and the mass release was a more tan color (similar to the v2 CF-1J). Otherwise, the v1s were exactly the same. This new v2 CF-1A TV will be different from the DYRL in probably color and most definitely head style. Yamato has finally styled the -1A head differently for the TV models. Look at the CF-1A posted in this thread, the head style is more rounded and the sensor eye is flush with the front of the head. On the DYRL -1As, there's a black bezel around the sensor eye and the whole head is a little sharper edged and more utilitarian looking. I prefer the DYRL -1As myself, so hopefully Yamato comes out with a DYRL CF -1A soon. Vostok 7
  8. I bought my Beagle Ride Armor and v2 VF-1D from them and the service was excellent. A recommend from me for sure. Vostok 7
  9. Hopefully they make the DYRL CF a similar color, because I hate the TV head Vostok 7

The last thing I remember was some junk about how a valk could beat a gundam (ha, yeah right). That's all I got. Vostok 7
  11. I must, MUST have that VF-22! Vostok 7

Global looks really really happy. Don't really blame him Vostok 7
  13. I only have the G, but I wouldn't buy the F for a few reasons. First, I don't like the styling or the color scheme. That's personal opinion though, so doesn't bear on your question. The big advantages of the G is that it comes with a crap-load of extras, since it's bundled with the super packs, a stand AND you get his unique sniper rifle on top of the standard rifle and knife. Just seems like a better value to me. Same reason I'm not getting any S-type other than the Full Armor version. I wouldn't say that the "loose" hip connector would be a reason to avoid the G. It's pretty easy to fix if you do have it. Vostok 7
  14. Christmas; valk in a box! Hanukkah; valk in a box! Kwanzaa; a valk in a box! Every single holiday a valk in a box! Over at your parent's house a valk in a box! Mid day at the grocery store a valk in a box! Vostok 7
  15. I bought one of these kits AGES ago at an antique store. In fact, it's what first brought me to Macross World back in probably 1999-2000. I think the one I had was a VF-1J Max-type. My first post on here was looking for spare parts since it was missing a couple. Ended up scrapping the idea of building it and just sold it to another member on here. That was around the time the first information of Mac+ Valks coming from "Toycom"... And the rest, as they say, is history. Vostok 7

The face on your blond is actually pretty close to Millia. I feel a new avatar coming... Vostok 7
  17. I like how the specs quote sea and air speed. Would that be even physically possible? Vostok 7
  18. Whaaaaa?? Her face is terrible. Her body is nice, but that's about it. Vostok 7
  19. Sounds like someone mixed Mospeada and Megazone and maybe a tiny bit of Gundam in to one show Vostok 7

  22. G = Micheal's (blue/white) RVF-25 = Luca's (light green/white) F = Alto's (white/black/red) S = Ozma's (grey/black/yellow) Booooo Cent, you didn't have the full list when I posted. Vostok 7
  23. It's all good Vostok 7
  24. ...Posse? I have a posse? SWEET! I guess it's no longer the Max Jenius Ninja Goon Posse, it's now the Vostok 7 Ninja Goon Posse Love you, EXO! Vostok 7
  25. I'd rather read complainers complaining about complainers rather than complainers complaining. Now you're being a complainer complaining about complainers who complain about complaining. Maybe I should complain about your complaining about complainers who complain about the complaining? Vostok 7
