hey, I don't wanna put Kevin or anyone out either. And of course, I wouldn't figure Shawn would ask for $100 a mo. either... We're talking about a much smaller site here. As I said, I just think it's a good way to 1) get Shawn money for the site and 2) keep out any unwanted business (more security). It would take a small reorganization of the forums, the addition of a "Vendor Sales" forum and a change of the regular sale forum to a "Private sale" forum, but even that isn't 100% necessary. I still think though, that even if this was implemented, some form of general member donations would still be necessary. They wouldn't be AS necessary though. Maybe the vendor who signs up would get special perks for doing so, besides an "official MW vendor" title below his name. Vostok 7

I had an idea... I'm a member of a huge Subaru club on the internet, http://www.impreza.net It's about 10x the size of what this place used to be... 30-40k members. Now, what they do, is for sales, you can have private sales, and then they have vendor sales. To do any serious kind of selling, and to do mass selling in any forums other than "private for sale" or small "I have this..." replies to other threads, you have to sign up as a vendor. It costs $100 a mo. (less depending on how many months you sign up for in advance) and allows you sell your product. You get a title under the screen name that shows you are an official vendor. I know that Macrossworld is a smaller site, and there's less "fly by night" vendors trying to sell things, but I still think it would be a good idea. It would be a way for Shawn to make some money for the site, and keep down any possiblity of fraud on the part of people coming on and saying their vendors. Any thoughts on this? Vostok 7

Which would you rather have "blurry" 8-bit color graphics or mind numbing puke green with a dot matrix screen? Sure, the later GBs were better but come on... Dot matrix died in the 70s. The games I played were far from annoying. Less annoying than a dot matrix screen As far as the heating... It's cold here in the winters... Yes, but it was still a solid system. I've played a GB quite a bit (as much as the graphics could let me ) and sure, the batteries may last longer than the GG but still. 2 hours? I could go longer than that on 8 batteries. Beats me. Why was the Dreamcast a failure when it was a graphically superior system to most systems of it's vintage? I still call it 'only' simply because everyone and thier redheaded stepcousin had a GB, because it was cheap. Had the GG been cheaper, I'm sure it would have wiped the GB. Yes, marginally better because why couldn't it have come out years ago? Instead we got the GB "color" and that one with a higher dot pitch screen. <_< I still say it was designed by masochists. You can't tell me you didn't get cramps playing an NES for hours. <_< Vostok 7

Why? The graphics were better, the games were better, the console design was better (Nintendo must have been run by masochists in the early years). Sure, some of the games could run slow at times, but it was still a solid system. I have no idea why it died out. Sega should be praised for a handheld that was a better system than the Gameboy way earlier than the Gameboy even thought about evolving. The only thing the Gameboy had for it was a huge library of games, and the price. Even the early version ate batteries like the GG. I think even the GBA is only a marginally better system, like 10 years after the GG came out. Vostok 7

I know some tech wise, and yet those old skool games hold a place for me that'll never be replaced by the modern games. The modern games are cool... but they're running out of steam. I just love those old games... Going to the local Pizza Hut and playing Aero Fighters or playing Sonic games... etc... Vostok 7
