As far as who shot Kaji, the mystery was never solved. However, nearly all points lead to Misato herself pulling the trigger on him. Naoko Akagi was being called an "old hag" by Rei I. As a result, she snapped and strangled Rei I to death. Realizing what she had done, she fell to her own death.

I thought it would suck, but I was actually impressed by the voice acting. Not too keen about Dan Woren playing Jack or Steve Staley playing Rei, but the dub is almost as good as Macross Plus.

I've been trying to find the Limited Edition DVD, but to no avail. Has anyone here picked it up? And is the squadron patch worth it?

Angle turned heel to put Eddie over at WrestleMania. As for Vinnie Mac, you'll never know. Now for the main event at WrestleMania, it looks like Benoit will not win the triple-threat. Since HHH has commitments to the production of Blade III and he refuses to job to Benoit, he'll just drop the title to HBK. And then at Backlash, Benoit will defeat HBK at his hometown in Edmonton, Alberta. Now that's just plain stupid. Why doesn't WWE let Benoit win at WMXX and go to Backlash as the champ?

Who's your favorite Soul Calibur II Character
areaseven replied to Vostok 7's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
As much as I like the BGM for Soul Calibur II, I prefer Soul Edge's Arrange music. The opening themes for SC1 and SC2 are great, but nothing - and I mean absolutely nothing - stands out as a game anthem like "The Edge of Soul." -

Who's your favorite Soul Calibur II Character
areaseven replied to Vostok 7's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Here's a question for the game music fans: Of the Soul Edge/Soul Calibur trilogy, which one has the best soundtrack? -
Unfortunately, I don't have the full info. An issue of Newtype USA mentioned his debut in Daimos, but did not mention what he designed. Also, Studio Nue was involved in the production of the series.

The first two ghey images don't compare to this one: http://www.geocities.com/pgundam2004/Other.../sailorghey.jpg

As promised, here are some more screenshots from the making of Yukikaze:

All right, that was a tough one. "What are Sentou Yousei Yukikaze and Kiddy Grade?" is the answer. Next question: Which anime is about a boy and his talking motorcycle?

There are countless manga titles we read on a daily basis. Many of them get picked up by production companies to be adapted in animated form. But through the transition, how close to the original story is the anime version? This thread is to compare manga titles to their animated counterparts. Be warned that there will be plot spoilers included on these posts. Steel Angel Kurumi ( 鋼鉄天使くるみ ) by Kaishaku Kadokawa Shoten, 1998-1999 ADV Manga, 2003-2004 Rated 18+ for graphic violence, gratuitous T&A, HLA and S&M. Just how different is the TV series from this manga? Very different. First off, instead of the laboratory scene with a naked Kurumi, the manga begins with Dr. Ayanokouji on the run against Dr. Amagi and her troops. He loses control of his car and falls off a cliff. Also, the three bullies do not drag Nakahito into Ayanokouji's house. They're just picking on him on a grassy plain when he falls into a covered pit that leads into the secret laboratory. Not only does Kurumi destroy the Kongo unit, she beats up every Imperial soldier she sees before bringing Nakahito and Dr. Ayanokouji to safety. Instead of going to Nakahito's shrine, the trio stop over a hot spring to take a relaxing bath. While Nakahito and Dr. Ayanokouji talk about what's going on, Kurumi jumps in to give Nakahito a back rub. This is where Saki first attacks Kurumi. So far, I've only finished the first 70 pages. Even so, I've already noticed that the anime rushed a few scenes and lengthened some other scenes. Most of the characters are recognizable except for Dr. Ayanokouji, who is at least 10 years younger in the manga. As for content, I'm surprised that the anime's ecchi level is severely toned down compared to the manga. There are more panty shots, bust shots, you name it. ADV's translation is decent, except for one mortal sin: not one line of "Kyuuin!" coming from Kurumi. Otherwise, the manga's worth picking up. And for good measure, here's one for Noriko Takaya...

Did you know that Shoji Kawamori made his debut as a mecha designer in this series? He did one of the bad guy mechs, IIRC.

http://www.devilmanthemovie.jp/ At least it has a better production value than Kekkou Kamen.

Holy crap! The special effects are tight! Can't wait to see this movie.

Time for the DVD report: DVD Extras: A The standard edition DVD features Yukikaze Making Report, a behind-the-scenes look at the OAV series in production. Staff members traveled to JASDF's Komatsu base in Ishikawa Prefecture to study and test-fly an F-15J Eagle. There are also some technical files and a glossary included as well, but I'll get to them later on. In the meantime, here are some sample pics of the making of Yukikaze. EDIT: Image links taken down because the idiot below quoted them. We only need to see them once. More pics to come. Stay tuned.

Earlier tonight on The Triple-H Show: - Chris Benoit attacked Triple-H in the ring and gave him the Crossface before Evolution ran in to make the save. - RVD and Booker T. finally win gold with a victory over Ric Flair and Batista. Flair had Booker locked in the figure-four when Mick Foley showed up and attacked Randy Orton outside the ring. Batista ran in to help Orton, giving RVD the opportunity to land the Five-Star Frog Splash on Flair. - Stone Cold Steve Austin had a conversation with Eric Bischoff on what to do with the main event at WrestleMania. While they were at it, Austin asked Bischoff if he could really kick Vinnie Mac's ass. Bischoff told Austin he's more than ready and he's 25 years younger. Then he realized that Vinnie Mac was right behind him. Next week, Vinnie Mac has an important announcement concerning Bischoff. - Enough of this stupid Y2J/Trish/Christian love triangle! - Benoit jobbed to HBK. Worse is that Austin spilled out the worst news concerning the main event - it will be a triple-threat.

Viz Video released the OAV before the low-budget live-action film. Both versions have their advantages and disadvantages: Sanctuary OAV Pros: Good soundtrack, pretty close to the manga. Cons: Story too short; no emphasis on the Cambodia subplot. Sanctuary Movie Pros: Covers Hojo and Asami's days in Cambodia. Cons: Cheap camera work; actors look weak.

That's why HBK and HHH are making it a triple-threat. HBK will give Benoit some Sweet Chin Music, then he'll have a staredown with HHH. At that point, HHH will poke his finger on HBK's chest, causing HBK to collapse. HHH pins HBK. End of story. End of wrestling.

Guess that was a tough one. The answer is Battle Athletes Victory. Next question - Jeopardy! style: Two childhood friends survive the killing fields of Cambodia and return to Japan to take over society through the Diet and the Yakuza.
