  1. Some people just have too much time on their hands.
  2. All this talk about subs makes me hungry. MMMMM...toasty.
  3. Sentou Yousei Yukikaze - Operation:04 ( 戦闘妖精雪風 ) GONZO Digimation/Victor Entertainment/Bandai Visual, 2004 Bandai Entertainment (Projected Release Date: late-2004) Directed by Masahiko Okura. Rated 13-Up for violence and mature situations. Fitted with a new set of engines, Yukikaze - with Rei and Jack at the controls - travels through the dimensional portal to Earth, Where it receives a not-so-friendly welcome from the Japanese navy. Then, without warning, a group of JAM fighters make their appearance and attack the naval fleet. Story: B- After the snooze-fest that was episode 3, the storyline finally shakes up a bit. We get to know a little more about novelist Lynn Jackson and we get something we've been waiting for a long time: high-speed dog fights. But the story is still as incohesive as ever. Let's hope that Operation: 05 ends the series in a good note. Animation: A++ Evolution is the key factor to the animation quality, and Yukikaze's quality level has evolved a lot compared to the first episode. The dog fights have become more intensive and the effects have greatly improved. And Yukikaze's launch from the aircraft carrier is unbelievable. Soundtrack: B+ Well, I'm finally adjusting to Yukikaze's background music. Aside from that, nothing much has changed. The Bottom Line The series is almost finished, but there are still a lot of questions yet to be answered. Nevertheless, Yukikaze has become more of an eye candy addiction than ever. 4. So the people who did the Americanized Ring are doing WHR? Where's my shotgun?
  5. The latest WWE Superstars to get the pink slip: Also, what's with these hometown changes?
  6. Well, the dogfights in Yukikaze are good, but I still prefer Macross Plus.
  7. Last night on RAW: - William Regal makes his return, only to become the manager of Bischoff's retarded nephew Eugene. How many retarded wrestlers do we need? We already have one running around with a sledge hammer. - Could Shelton Benjamin be the next 1-2-3 Kid?
  8. The packaging had no mention of any patch. Perhaps Bandai wanted to surprise those who never read about it.
  9. I actually picked up the Limited edition DVD last month. The patch looks pretty good.
  10. Operation:04 is out. A review for it should be available early this week. In the meantime, here's the direct link to the raw Japanese file: http://anime.mircx.com/download/55dbf78945...5acd5136be32dff Click here if the link above doesn't work.
  11. Now I'm getting flashbacks of that Jackie Chan coin-op fighting game by Kaneko.
  12. Game plays like crap. The only redeeming point of this game is Jet Li himself. At least it's not as crappy as that Bruce Lee game on the XBOX or that Steven Seagal game on the SNES.
  13. Now that we've talked about what DC games to buy, how about a list of DC games to avoid? So far, I can only think of two: July Godzilla Generations I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of any right now. Any others to avoid?
  14. That was the reason why I bought my DC in the first place.
  15. Well, you don't have to compare Miyazaki's works if he doesn't want you to. Just compare whatever you've seen and read.
  16. At least he's got a better Gerwalk mode than Ultra Jetstorm. Speaking of Gerwalk, has anyone here attempted to do a Gerwalk mode on BT/Alternator Smokescreen? I made an attempt, but because he's front-heavy, it didn't work.
  17. I really miss my Dreamcast. But once I'll get it back once I return to Manila this June. Here are the games I had with it: 1. Soul Calibur 2. Tech Romancer 3. Sega Bass Fishing (complete with fishing rod) 4. Virtua Tennis 5. Dead or Alive 2 6. Resident Evil: Code Veronica 7. The King of Fighters '99 8. Shenmue
  18. Why'd they make him look like G1 Galvatron?
  19. Well, I didn't watch Walking Tall today, but I managed to get a free ticket to see Hellboy. It's actually impressive. The special effects blow Spawn out of the water, and the story is pretty good. Will buy this on DVD when it comes out.
  20. Yes it does, whether the manga came out before the anime or vice-versa. This thread is about the differences between adaptations.
  21. Gunslinger Girl ( ガンスリンガー・ガール ) by Yu Aida Media Works, 2002 ADV Manga, 2003-2004 Rated 15+ for graphic violence, mature situations and strong language. In terms of adaptation, the anime did a good job retelling this story. The major difference is that the manga is more graphic. You don't fully see Henrietta before she was picked up by the Social Welfare Agency. In the manga, she lost her left eye, right arm, left hand and left leg during the massacre of her family. Other than that, there are very few differences between the manga and anime series.
  22. (Watches MilkManX place his order on an MG Rick Dias.)
  23. Not-so-smart question: Is it better than Spawn?
