  1. Time's up. The answer is B. Next question: In R.O.D -The TV-, when the Paper Sisters arrive in London, they discover that the city has been reverted into the 19th century as depicted by which two classic novels?
  2. Tenbatsu Angel Rabbie ( 天罰エンジェルラビィ☆ ) Kogado Studio/AIC/Media Factory/Toshiba Entertainment, 2004 RJP Productions (Projected Release Date: 2005) Directed by Shinji Ishihira (Ichi the Killer: Episode 0) Rated 13-Up for violence, nudity and mature situations. Rookie Surrogator Lasty Farson is sent down to Earth on a mission to bring happiness to the people on the planet. When a village is plagued by fear and corruption, Lasty transforms into Angel Rabbie and places judgment on the priestess who feeds on the wealth of the people. Story: C- Just what we need: another ecchi magical girl anime title that's lacking on story content. Hell, for an ecchi title, it's even lacking on T&A content. Even though I've seen far worse (i.e. Wild Cardz), Tenbatsu Angel Rabbie ranks pretty low on replay value. Animation: B- As this was animated by AIC, Tenbatsu Angel Rabbie borrows plenty of elements from the company's other titles such as Tenchi Muyo! and Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040. Unfortunately, as an OAV, the animation quality is rather weak compared to current anime TV titles. Soundtrack: B+ For the most part, the soundtrack by UNDER17 (Haruko Momoi and Masaya Koike) is pretty good. The end title theme is another example of how annoyingly cute the band can sound. Sub vs. Dub Tenbatsu Angel Rabbie features Mayumi Iizuka (Nanaka in Magic User's Club, Sora in Escaflowne: The Movie) as Lasty, Yumi Kakazu (Dita in Vandread, Asahina in RahXephon) as Fia, Manami Komori as Saaria, Yuka Koyama (Yoko in Bastard!!, Helena in the Dead or Alive game series) as Seerry, Mie Sonozaki (Hazuki in Happy Lesson, Uruka in Steel Angel Kurumi 2) as Arte, Takahiro Mizushima (Armalite in Scrapped Princess, Tadahiro in Asagiri no Miko) as Luka, Misa Kobayashi as Lukia, Ai Nonaka (Shima in Stellvia, Beauty in Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo) as Lui, Ryou Hirohashi (Sora in Kaleido Star, Kim in Area 88) as May, and Sayaka Ohara (Raquel in Scrapped Princess, Kaede in Please Teacher!) as Margareta. Dub review coming soon. DVD Extras Not until the DVD hits stores. The Bottom Line Unless you're an UNDER17 fan, there's other anime to watch. 3. I'm kinda surprised that Agent ONE hasn't posted anything on this thread yet.
  4. Okay, that was a difficult one. What is Sword for Truth? Next question: Which was UNDER17's first anime theme song? A. "Popotan hatake de tsukamaete" (Popotan) B. "Mouse Chu Mouse" (Mouse) C. "Hajimete no Natsu" (Natsuiro no Sunadokei) D. "Love Slave" (DearS)
  5. Not bad. Got any more sketches? Here are some other cars that would make good Autobots: Ford Shelby GR-1 Concept Ford Shelby Cobra Roadster
  6. Last night on SmackDown!: - The show was as flat as ever, with a boring relay match between Team Cena (John Cena/Charlie Haas/RVD) and Team Booker T. (Booker T./Luther Reigns/Rene Dupree). So far, it's been a pretty poor buildup going to SummerSlam, and the only match worth watching is Benoit vs. Randy Orton. Oh, and RVD is not on the card. And HHH practically had nothing to do with that.
  7. Has anyone here picked up Vol. 2? The movie itself is good, but you have to check out the deleted scene where Bill faces Michael Jai White in a swordfight.
  8. Next question - Jeopardy!-style: This OAV features a lone samurai who sports the mark of two crossed scythes on the back of his outfit.
  9. Sometime around early 2005.
  10. I already have those. I'm looking for DVD covers outside Japan and the U.S.
  11. I'm working on a new Macross Plus page that includes coverage of different DVD versions from around the world. So far I have covers from the U.S., Japan, Australia and France. I'm looking for DVD covers from other countries such as Germany, Italy, Russia, etc. PM me if you have any foreign DVD versions of this series. Thanks.
  12. Here's a rumor that's been out for a while: - Ted Turner is thinking of once again competing with Vinnie Mac by setting up a brand new wrestling promotion. He's close friends with Hogan and has considered signing Goldberg, DDP, Sting and - surprise - Stone Cold Steve Austin. In addition, he's considered signing former WCW commentator Scott Hudson and former ECW commentator Joey Styles. - Furthermore, since many of the wrestlers in Jeff Jarrett's NWA-TNA promotion are not under contract, Turner might simply snag them from Jarrett. Maybe even buy NWA-TNA from Jarrett. As far as I know, Turner should start a new promotion. Besides, the lack of competition has been killing WWE for the past three years, and Vinnie Mac needs a rival badly.
  13. Last night on RAW: - More pointless crap involving the RAW Diva Search. - More pointless crap involving Randy Orton behind the mic. - More pointless crap involving the Matt Hardy/Lita/Kane love triangle. - More pointless crap involving HHH beating William Regal to a bloody pulp again. - Edge vs. Y2J is a great feud. Unfortunately, this probably means Batista will become I-C Champion this Sunday. Will SmackDown! be better? Can't say until this Thursday.
  14. Your turn, Daishi3500.
  15. Okay, next question: Sakuma's fruit drops are featured in which anime movie?
  16. Omedeto, Monkey-N.
  17. I'm actually down with having guards at Target. In the Philippines, even the nearest McDonalds and Pizza Huts have guards on duty.
  18. Wrap-up for this week. Last Monday on RAW: - For the most part, the show was as boring and predictable as usual. Did anyone catch the botched cue on the Lita/Kane segment? - You know, instead of blowing $250,000 on an inane Diva search, how about using that money on real talent? Earlier tonight on SmackDown!: - Spike Dudley turned heel. Yawn. - Someone tell the writers that the whole midget joke died out years ago. - Now why would Orlando Jordan help out JBL?
  19. They're one episode per disc and cost about $5. It's ADV's answer to Central Park Media's "Anime Test Drive" DVDs.
  20. Wow. I thought the Burbank branch was the only one with that kind of problem. Looks like I'll stick with Obi-Wan Kenobi's thoughts on Fry's:
  21. Good to know that you finally got your refund, Sumdumgai. BTW, I also have a copy of Macross: The Tribute. The best songs are "Macross" by Yoshiki Fukuyama (singing voice of Basara), "Ai, Oboete Imasu ka?" by Yoko Ueno (1/2 of Azumanga Daioh's Oranges & Lemons) and "Angel Voice" by Mari Iijima. Everything else is okay.
  22. Surprisingly, she still does, even after 20 years. Harrison Page still looks like he can yell at Hammer like he used to. I'm hoping that there will be a reunion special soon, but one thing has to be straightened out before that happens... Get a damn haircut, Hammer!
  23. Discs 3-4 coverage: The Old Man and the Sledge Hammer meets a retired police detective named Gilmore Yates that he idolized during his early days. To keep him away from a retirement home, Hammer gets Yates a job as a security guard at a jewelry shop. But things go wrong when Yates is shot by jewelry thieves. State of Sledge When an Internal Affairs agent visits the precinct, he finds a spotless record as Trunk secretly hid Hammer's files and sent him home. Unfortunately for Trunk, Hammer shows up, having arrested Slag, the leader of a satanic cult. Making matters worse is that Slag's followers have placed the entire precinct under siege. Haven't Gun, Will Travel Trunk orders Hammer to visit the police psychiatrist. The next morning, he faces the worst crisis of his life - he has lost his gun. The Color of Hammer A hard-nosed judge is murdered and the only clue is a book of matches from a billiard hall. Hammer, Dori and Trunk visit the hall to find the pool hustler who killed the judge. Brother, Can You Spare a Crime? When a handsome thief is arrested, he convinces everyone that he is Hammer's long-lost brother. Not only does he move into Hammer's apartment, he goes out on a date with Dori. Desperately Seeking Dori During a botched counterfeiting bust staged by the FBI, Dori is hit in the head as the criminal makes his escape. When she comes to, she develops the violent personality of Hammer. Sledgepoo The city's high-class neighborhood is plagued by a string of thefts committed by a cat burglar. When Hammer finds out that the homeowners were having their hair done during the crimes, he goes to a British hairstylist to find a connection between the salon and the burglaries. Comrade Hammer Hammer and Dori must escort a Russian professor on a train to an important conference. They must make sure not to lose the professor at the hands of the KGB. Jagged Sledge Shortly after a crime lord is released, he is murdered in his own home and Hammer is the only suspect. The odds are against him in court as his attorney has bailed out and every witness has described his ill-feelings towards the victim. The Spa Who Loved Me A nuclear warhead is stolen by an unknown terrorist group that threatens to detonate it in the city unless they're given $1 billion. When one of the suspects is identified as a member of a famous aerobics club, Hammer goes out to question the club's fitness guru.
  24. To me, she looked better in person. The photo I posted on the first page of this thread doesn't give justice.
