As usual, SmackDown! PPVs suck. WWE No Mercy Results Sunday Night Heat Opener Mark Jindrak clocked Scotty 2 Hotty with a roundhouse punch. Eddie Guerrero landed a frog splash on Luther Reigns. WWE Cruiserweight Championship Spike Dudley def. Nunzio with outside interference by the Dudleyz. Billy Kidman did the Shooting Star Press on Paul London. Undoubtedly the match of the night. Kenzo Suzuki/Rene Dupree def. Rob Van Dam/Rey Mysterio after Suzuki used the ropes for leverage on Rey. Big Show destroyed Kurt Angle with a choke slam off the top rope. WWE U.S. Championship - Best of 5 Series John Cena did the F-U on Booker T. to regain the new title. Charlie Haas/Rico/Miss Jackie def. the Dudleyz/Dawn Marie after Rico did a moonsault on D-Von WWE Championship - Last Ride JBL def. Undertaker after Heidenreich jumped out of the hearse and used a substance in an attempt to put UT to sleep. UT got up and attacked Heidenreich, only to receive a Clothesline from Hell by JBL. After the match, Paul Heyman parked the hearse backstage. He then signaled Heidenreich to get in a Ford Bronco. Heidenreich then ran the Bronco at full speed and rammed the hearse.

Impressive. Now let's see them do a B-Wing.

Uhhh...is there supposed to be a punchline on this pic as related to the topic?

Bad News: Austin's out of town, so he won't be on our show tonight. Also, another former WWE Superstar has left us:
-
This past Monday on RAW: - The unexpected happened: Carmella lost in the RAW Diva Search finals. - Lita had a miscarriage. Bad enough that we had to put up with the whole pregnancy angle for the past few months. Worse is that some jobber is getting a push out of this mess. - Eugene vs. Bischoff at Taboo Tuesday. Come on, Vince. You can do better than that.

Congratulations, Kev. -
Shadowe, the host of the show, is good friends with DDP. And as many people know, Austin is currently living with DDP. Over the weekend, DDP contacted Shadowe and told him Austin is ready for an interview.

Well, it looks like being GM for SmackDown! isn't such a great job after all: Also, there are reports of Mean Gene Okerlund in need of a kidney transplant. And look who else is unhappy with the RAW Diva Search:

10/18. The Atari version of Pac-Man got me there. -
Last night's episode of SmackDown! was, by far, the most embarrassing episode in the history of the show. Heidenreich - a wrestler who just can't get over - decides to get everyone's attention by kidnapping Michael Cole and raping him in a stall. How this segment got aired is beyond comprehension, but it was both pointless and tasteless.

YOU - Dig - Giant Robots! I - Dig - Giant Robots! WE - Dig - Giant Robots! CHICKS - Dig - Giant Robots! NICE! Personally, I think Megas XLR is a great cartoon series. Maybe the animation's a bit shoddy, but don't really expect much from cartoons like this. I've only seen three episodes, but I'm eager to get it on DVD once it's available.

Any one watch Justice League?
areaseven replied to Otaku-Smeghead's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Throughout the past month, I managed to watch four episodes of Justice League Unlimited. At first, I thought the show would not live up to expectations due to the fact that there are just too many superheroes on the lineup. But then, the series grew on me and I thoroughly enjoyed the last two episodes I checked out. Here are my thoughts on the series: "For the Man Who Has Everything": B- - It was more of a psychological episode than anything else. Didn't really pay too much attention to it. "Hawk and Dove": C - Wow...to believe that these two actually made it in animated form. It was a rather boring episode, though. "This Little Piggy": A- - This has got to be the funniest Justice League episode yet. Sersi turns Wonder Woman into a pig, and Batman has to sing at a nightclub to have the spell reversed. Absolutely hilarious. "The Greatest Story Never Told": A- - This one has to be the second-funniest episode. Booster Gold does a priceless job being a dork. "Thank you, Green Lantern." - replies from civilians to Booster Gold -
Last night on RAW: - The show began with a red-carpet HHH victory celebration. Flair brought in some girls while Batista had a giant cake prepared. Just when HHH was expecting a stripper to pop out of the cake, it exploded. Randy Orton jumped out of it and attacked Evolution. - Despite unanimous boos from the crowd, Carmella will most likely win the RAW Diva Search. - Kane fought a jobber in a no-DQ match. As he was set to break the jobber's throat with a steel chair, Lita pulled the chair away from the jobber's neck. Kane then confronted Lita before the jobber nailed him on the back with the chair, causing the Big Red Machine to land on Lita. EMTs had to pull Lita out on a stretcher. Next week: we find out that Lita had a miscarriage. - Shelton Benjamin returned to the active roster by helping Orton fend off Evolution. Towards the end of the show, Orton, Benoit and Benjamin punked out Batista in the middle of the ring.

For the most part, NWA-TNA is crap. They did sign a deal with a FOX Sports affiliate, but who's watching? Some areas have the show on a weekday at 3 or 4 (when everyone's at work). Others have it at 4 or 5 in the morning (like anyone's actually gonna wake up that early).

If you didn't watch tonight's PPV, you didn't miss anything. Watching RAW tomorrow night is up to you. WWE Unforgiven Results Sunday Night Heat Opener Maven def. Rodney Mack with a rollup. Chris Benoit/William Regal def. Ric Flair/Batista after Benoit made Flair tap out to the Crossface. WWE Women's Championship Trish Stratus did the Stratusfaction on Victoria. Tyson Tomko flattened Stevie Richards with the Problem Solver. WWE Intercontinental Championship - Ladder Match Chris Jericho def. Christian to become the new I-C Champion. For a ladder match (especially with two wrestlers with expertise on such a match), this was a major disappointment. The Return of HBK (Again) Shawn Michaels knocked out Kane with some Sweet Chin Music. World Tag Team Championship La Resistance def. Tajiri/Rhyno after using the Quebec flagpole on Rhyno. World Heavyweight Championship Triple-H def. Randy Orton to become Champion for the Nth time after interference by Batista and refereeing by The Coach.

Yeah, I'll need to see more of this new Joker. At first, he didn't look or act like the Joker we all know. Besides, Mark Hamill as Joker is a completely hard act to follow. Let's see how Kevin Michael Richardson pulls it off later throughout the series.

The Batman ( ザ・バットマン ) Kids' WB!/Warner Bros., 2004- Directed by Seung Kim, Sam Liu (Heavy Gear, Roughnecks) and Brandon Vietti (Spider-Man: The New Animated Series) Rated TV-Y7 for violence and mature situations. Based on characters created by Bob Kane and DC Comics. Three years have passed since billionaire Bruce Wayne donned the cape and cowl to become the Batman, the lone vigilante who puts fear on Gotham City's most wanted. With Batman seen as an obstruction of justice by Chief Angel Rojas, Detective Ethan Bennett is partnered with ex-Metropolis Detective Ellen Yin and assigned to seek out and capture the Caped Crusader. But just when the crime rate in Gotham City is at an all-time low, new criminals like the Joker, the Penguin and Catwoman appear to wreak havoc on the city. And only the Dark Knight can stop them. Story: B It's been more than 10 years since WB produced Batman: The Animated Series. That show brought the best out of the Dark Knight with its excellent storytelling and remarkable animation. Well, this new alternate prequel, which coincides with next year's Batman Begins film, may have some big shoes to fill. The Batman probably won't excel in terms of story development, but it appears to be more action-packed (and probably more violent) than its predecessor. For example, we have the Joker. Unlike other incarnations, this one can actually fight Batman in hand-to-hand combat. I don't know how the next set of villains will be presented, but I'll definitely look forward to further episodes. Animation: B+ For one thing, The Batman isn't as stylish as Batman TAS. However, the animation and artwork look better than Batman Beyond. Many viewers expecting a retro-style cartoon will be disappointed, as The Batman boasts anime-style artwork with a little cel-shaded CG for the Batmobile. As a matter of fact, it looks more anime-like than Teen Titans. Soundtrack: B- Despite having some music by U2's The Edge, Thomas Chase's (The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Laboratory) musical score for The Batman will need some getting used to, compared to Shirley Walker's compositions for Batman TAS. Cast The Batman features Rino Romano (Johnny Rico in Roughnecks, Tuxedo Mask in Sailor Moon) as Bruce Wayne, Alastair Duncan as Alfred, Kevin Michael Richardson (Thadeus in The Animatrix: Final Flight of the Osiris, Glorft Commander in MEGAS XLR) as the Joker, Steve Harris (Jad in Minority Report) as Ethan, Ming-Na (you should know who she is by now) as Ellen, Clancy Brown (The Kurrgan in Highlander, Gorrath in MEGAS XLR) as Mr. Freeze, Robert Englund (Freddy Kruger himself) as the Riddler, Gina Gershon (Cristal in Showgirls) as Catwoman, Tom Kenny (SpongeBob Squarepants, Mayor in The Powerpuff Girls) as the Penguin, Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Slade in Teen Titans) as Killer Croc, Dan Castellaneta (Homer in The Simpsons) as Scarface, Frank Gorshin as Hugo Strange, Edward James Olmos (Castillo in Miami Vice, Adama in the new Battlestar Galactica) as Chief Rojas, and Adam West (the original Batman himself) as Mayor Grange. The Bottom Line The Batman may not be as good as its predecessor (but then again, nothing is), but it's still worth watching and it may give us a glimpse of what to look for in Batman Begins. SPOILER ALERT! Do not read further unless you've reached episode 47. Two more episodes to go (episode 49 airs on September 25) and so many things have happened on episode 47: - It turns out that Kunzite is still alive, but what is he planning to do? - In an attempt to end all evil, Endymion seeks to single-handedly destroy Queen Metaria. - But no one prepared for what happened towards the end of the episode - the Sailor Senshi has lost one of their own. Minako-chan agreed to undergo surgery to remove the tumor in her brain. She never came back from the operating room.
