More Shadow Force news
areaseven replied to 1st Border Red Devil's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Get this - At this year's MW Con, Tom Bateman claimed that Shadow Force's 3D animation will be similar to what you see in Yukikaze. -
Well, as many of us know, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon ended its run last month. Unfortunately, as I currently don't have DSL, I have not yet seen episode 49. In the meantime, here's a wrap-up of the episode before it. Act.48 Following the death of Minako-chan, a lot of other characters start to die off. Kunzite is killed when he prevents Jadeite from murdering Mamoru at the last minute. Meanwhile, Mamoru tells Usagi-chan that he defeated Queen Metaria and has contained her within him. However, it doesn't take long for Metaria to possess Mamoru and make him evil. Usagi-chan has trouble deciding whether or not to kill Mamoru to save the world, even with the Sailor Senshi in danger. On the bright side, he did us a favor and destroyed Mio.

There was this one episode of The Big O, where Beck and his lackeys had machines that combined into a giant robot. That was actually pretty cool.

I wonder what happened to the rumors of "Americanizing" Casshern...

Earlier tonight on RAW in England: - Holy crap! Regal brought the house down. If you thought the Canadian crowd was rowdy, you haven't seen the British crowd. - Bischoff added a new stipulation for Taboo Tuesday: When a competitor (Benoit, HBK or Edge) is chosen to face HHH, the other two get a shot at the Tag Team titles. Guess that means Benoit and Edge are a team again. Also, there are rumors that Kane will leave WWE soon, due to disagreements with his contract.

With the recent anime on crack that I've reviewed, each title relies on one certain aspect: Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo - Gross hygeine Puni Puni Poemy - T&A, HLA, S&M and suggestive sex with a minor The Super Milk-chan Show - Excessive profanity Much like Itchy and Scratchy, Cat Soup relies on violence, blood and mutilation scenes - only somewhat more extreme. So, unless you frequent Ogrish.com, Cat Soup is not for the weak of heart.

The SNK vs. CAPCOM Appreciation Thread
areaseven replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Broken? How so? -
SNK and CAPCOM - For over a decade, fans of 2D fighting have long debated over which company has the better fighting games. With games like CAPCOM vs. SNK: Mark of the Millennium and SVC Chaos: SNK vs. CAPCOM, fans can now have CAPCOM favorites like Ryu and Ken square off against SNK's fighters like Terry Bogard and Kyo Kusanagi. But while people can go on comparing Ryu with Terry, or Chun-Li with Mai, which company do you think has the better fighting game system? Which is superior in terms of gameplay, controls and characters? You decide for yourself. BTW, graphics is not an issue, as CAPCOM will wipe the floor with SNK on that category. After all, the CAPCOM/SNK debate isn't about eye candy. (Author's note: Yeah, I know I didn't include Guilty Gear in this thread. But then again, it would be completely unfair to compare GG with SNK and CAPCOM, as it will win hands-down.) "Battle till you drop. FIGHT!"

Nekojiru-so ( ねこぢる草 ) J.C. Staff/King Records, 2001 Software Sculptors, 2003 Directed by Tatsuo Sato (Stellvia, Martian Successor Nadesico) Rated 16-Up for extreme violence and gore, and suggestive drug use on the part of the production staff. Based on the manga by the late Nekojiru. Kittens Nyanko and Nyatta travel to the far reaches of surrealism to recover Nyanko's soul from Death. Story: C- (B+ if drunk) Of all the anime on crack that I've reviewed, Cat Soup is, arguably, the most messed up of the bunch. It seems like a cute anime at first, but viewers will be disturbed by the random mutilation scenes like a magician cutting up his female assistant or the cats carving up a pig alive and serving it its fried innards. It may take you a whole bottle of vodka or sake to comprehend this abstract maze of an anime. Animation: B The artwork itself is very crude, but Cat Soup has some of the most provocative camera angles used in an anime. It does, however, boast some impressive 3D effects. Soundtrack: B+ The background music is very creepy and as disturbing as the anime itself. Cast NONE. There's absolutely no dialogue in this anime. DVD Extras: A- You get an interview with director Tatsuo Sato, who explains the background of this project. Sato also supplies additional audio commentary on the anime. In addition, Cat Soup also comes with a limited edition liquid cover filled with water and red fluid that's supposed to be blood. The Bottom Line Another anime not worth watching sober. Links J.C. After working at AMC Theatres for two months, I finally got a chance to go watch a movie for free. I decided to check Sky Captain out, and I must say that it's a pretty good film. It may lack originality and the plot seems rushed, but if you're looking for a decent Saturday Matinee film, Sky Captain delivers. Too bad its box office record didn't make up for its $60+ million budget.

With the movie premiering next week, Team America has been given the R rating after the three minute puppet sex scene was trimmed out. At least the scene will be shown in its entirety when the DVD comes out.

This past Thursday on SmackDown!: - Theodore R. Long was planning to suspend both Paul Heyman and Heidenreich for their actions at No Mercy, but decided not to, as he told them there was no Undertaker found inside the hearse after the wreck. - Heidenreich read a poem, but kept on slipping up. I can't tell whether it's a series of blown spots or just part of his gimmick, because 1) his mic skills are horrible, and 2) his gimmick makes absolutely no sense. - In his debut on SmackDown!, Carlito Caribbean Cool knocked out John Cena with his own chains to win the WWE U.S. title.

Last night on RAW at Madison Square Garden: - Well, we knew WWE was gonna keep her, anyway - Carmella faces Diva Search winner Christy at Taboo Tuesday. - While SmackDown! has their Razor Ramon imitation Carlito Caribbean Cool, RAW has Simon Dean, a derivative of the Body Donnas gimmick of the mid-1990s. - WWE's really serious about giving jobber Gene Snitsky a push. He clobbered Kane with a lead pipe, leaving the Big Red Machine all bloodied up. - Y2J vs. HHH in a Lumberjack match. A good match until Rhyno decided to gore Y2J (as payback for getting dropkicked). And I really don't see Orton as the company's biggest hero.

Austin wants to go to Hollywood, which is why he's currently rooming with DDP. No word if he'll ever return to wrestling.
