Yeah, and that's what made David Flair the luckiest S.O.B. for a while.

There are also rumors of UPN dropping SmackDown! later this year. If this happens, UPN is doomed, as nothing else on their lineup is remotely interesting.

Yes, but that was during the time a certain "son-in-law" wasn't in charge of booking. Times have changed. You can't call the show RAW anymore; it's now The Triple-H Show.

Wizard World Comic Convention '05

Didn't see any TV cameras around. Maybe they filmed on Friday. -
I doubt it. It's not the broadcaster that makes the quality of the program; it's the writers and producers of the show responsible for the content.

I was actually going to review this series two months ago, but I got backlogged by other things. Maybe I'll get a chance to watch the first few episodes later this week.

At least that'll give the RT.com forum members some time to improve their spelling and grammar.

Holy sh*t! After some rather disappointing races early this year, the excitement finally picks up in NASCAR at Atlanta Motor Speedway today: - Jeff Gordon gets caught in a multi-car pileup on lap 1. - Carl Edwards beats Jimmie Johnson by a nose-length on the final lap and backflips his way to victory lane. I may be an Earnhardt fan for life, but this year, I'm rooting for Roush Racing all the way.

For those in the Los Angeles area, prepare for WrestleMania week at RVD's 5 Star Comics. The following superstars will make appearances at the store for autograph sessions: Spike Dudley - March 30, 6-8 p.m. Chris Benoit - March 31, 6-8 p.m. Kane - April 1, 6-8 p.m. And possibly the biggest bombshell before WrestleMania: Bret "Hitman" Hart - April 2, 10-12 p.m. You know what that means: He's gonna appear on the PPV.

Wizard World Comic Convention '05

What's a comic convention without celebrities? I stopped by their booths to say 'Hi.' Virgil As usual, the former WWF superstar had his own booth. He told me he recently wrestled in Tokyo. He also visited the ReelMarks booth and was interested in helping promote one of our titles. Lou Ferrigno I swear, this guy's a dick. All he cares about is you buying one of his autographed pics and books. Glenn Shadix The voice of the Mayor in The Nightmare Before Christmas wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone. Rob Van Dam I didn't bother, as he's an ass in person. Kate Jackson The former Charlie's Angels star seemed bored. David Naughton I didn't really talk to him, but I noticed the pics on his booth. I didn't realize he was the star of An American Wolf in London. He was also the famous Dr. Pepper guy in the early '80s. Cassandra Peterson Even at 55, the actress best known by everyone as Elvira still looks good. She's also very friendly in person. Catherine Bach Daisy Duke herself was on hand to promote autographed pics, t-shirts and bobblehead figures. I mentioned that The Dukes of Hazzard was very popular in Asia, and she told me she once filmed a movie in the Philippines with Sam Jones and Patrick Swayze. Other than that, she has a very pleasing personality. Erin Gray I grew up watching Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, and it was great to meet Col. Wilma Deering in person. Much like Cassandra, Erin is great to talk to. Tiffany Taylor Last year, I got an autographed pic from Miss November 1998. I got to meet her again. She really is sweet in person. -

I attended the 2005 Wizard World Convention in Long Beach, CA, yesterday as a member of ReelMarks Studios. Our booth promoted the upcoming titles Code of the Assassins, Ancestral and Shoot It, along with Lawdog Comics' Territory 51. Meanwhile, I toured the booths to check out what's new: Manga Entertainment The two booth babes cosplayed as Motoko (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) and Pandy (Dead Leaves). Meanwhile, I bumped into Keith Burgess again and he said he doesn't want to know the situation with Manga's license for Gunbuster. I guess he's tired of our bickering. Vivendi Universal One corner of their booth heavily promoted their upcoming Hulk game. The other corner featured the Red Ninja S14 Silvia race car. Speaking of which, I did a demo run on Red Ninja and I have to say that despite the shoddy camera controls, it's a rather fun and challenging game. Gaming Booth A large section of the convention featured a place to rest and play games on the PC, PS2, XBOX and Gamecube. Tekken 5 may boast better graphics, but it still feels like the same old game. Now who was parading around as a Valkyrie?

Well, nothing much happened this past week in the WWE. RAW featured the Rockers reunion and the surprise return of Jake "The Overweight, Balding Snake" Roberts. Meanwhile, on SmackDown!, Marty Jannetty proved to Angle that he still had a little fight in him in a match that ran for over 20 minutes.

Hassan the character may have potential, but how about Hassan the wrestler? Quite frankly, I'm not impressed with his in-ring abilities. Bad enough that Y2J had to put him over. Worse is that Benoit nearly did, and had Hassan not screwed up on positioning the ring bell before Benoit's diving headbutt, Benoit would've lost all credibility. Let's just hope that Hassan doesn't end up like Tiger Ali Singh, who went on to sue WWE for racial discrimination (he claimed that other wrestlers used his turban as an ashtray and called him a "cab driver). BTW, one of my colleagues over at TopWrestling.com called me and told me that back in 1998, he ran a backyard wrestling league. He just found out that a guy named Chris Masters wrestled in his show years before going pro and becoming "The Masterpiece."

This week, WWE aired the latest WrestleMania 21 commercial, with Kurt Angle and Christy Hemme re-enacting the diner scene from When Harry Met Sally - complete with Angle talking nonsense and Christy faking an orgasm. Linda McMahon: "I'll have what she's having."

I swear, this series hardly fails to amuse me. On disc 2, the episode "The Heist" teaches you the following tricks: 1. You can rig a dice by rubbing one side against an electric shoe polish. 2. You can strip a girl of her nightgown by tying a long string to a paper clip, then hooking the clip on the back zipper. Simply step on the other end of the string before she walks away. 3. You can open a sound-activated safe by rubbing your index finger around a wine glass. The episode "Trumbo's World" teaches you a perfect way to escape from a mountain hideout. You climb down the mountain with a rope drenched in gasoline. Chances are the bad guys will use the same rope while chasing you, so once you reach the ground, light it up.
