  1. Earlier tonight, I decided to watch episodes 19-20 again. If you haven't seen this series, you don't know what you're missing. Here's some sample dialogue: this scene involves Ebichu's master and her boyfriend. Just try to imagine the scene. "Switch on." "Setup complete. Begin docking operation." "Roger. Docking complete." "Energy at 120%. Rocket launch preparations complete." "Ready for launch." "Launch!"
  2. Those are really sweet pics.
  3. Hey, at least Uwe Boll won't direct it.
  4. Yeah, but in the case of Yukikaze, there really isn't much to look for. Every time someone posts a new Yukikaze thread, it's always the same question of when the next volume is coming out on DVD. What would you rather have: one super thread filled with questions on the next DVD release or 20 small threads with the exact same question?
  5. We should really have the Yukikaze Super Thread pinned on the Other Anime & Science Fiction section. While we're at it, the following threads should be consolidated to the Super Thread: Yukikaze dvd another Yukikaze thread Couple more pics of 1/100 Yukikaze Yukikaze Model Kit Yukikaze Any News on Yukikaze Is Yukikaze FRX00 MAVE very rare? New 1/72 Yukikaze model by platz Is there a subbed Yukikaze Operation 4? Supersylph Yukikaze for FS2002 Yukikaze Sentou Yousei Yukikaze Models
  6. So now it's gonna be 3 discs? In that case, how come eps. 3-4 haven't been released yet?
  7. You're right about the description, but the baddie used a different method. Instead of a sonic attack, the Leech missile emitted gas aboard the Airwolf's cockpit.
  8. Use the Yukikaze Super Thread, damnit! http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=4489
  9. Next trivia question: What does a "Leech" missile do?
  10. "Would you also care for some Kirin WO Salty Cat or Monkey Fizz?"
  11. You really know your celebs, >EXO<.
  12. Next trivia question: In episode 3, this child actress made a guest appearance as a stowaway aboard Dominic's helicopter. Eventually, she became a famous (or otherwise infamous) actress in the '90s. Who is she?
  13. Wow, you really know your Airwolf trivia, armentage.
  14. Let's see how good you guys are with Airwolf trivia: On the pilot episode, Moffet tells the Libyan major that Airwolf is bulletproof all around except for one place. Where is Airwolf's weak spot?
  15. Airwolf Belisarius Productions/Universal Pictures, 1984-1986, 2005 Created by Donald P. Bellisario (Magnum P.I., JAG) Running Time: 55 minutes per episode (110 minutes for the pilot episode) Rated TV-PG for violence and mature situations. CastJan-Michael Vincent as Stringfellow Hawke Ernest Borgnine (1917-2012) as Dominic Santini Alex Cord as Michael 'Archangel' Coldsmith Briggs III Lowdown A private organization known as "The Firm" has developed the ultimate military weapon. Codenamed "Airwolf," this sleek helicopter is capable of flying at speeds in excess of Mach 1 and is armed with the most sophisticated and lethal weaponry ever developed. However, things go wrong when Airwolf's creator destroys the Firm's headquarters and runs off with the helicopter. Three months later, ace pilot Stringfellow Hawke is recruited by the Firm's chief Archangel to travel to Libya and recover Airwolf. In exchange, Archangel will help Hawke locate his brother St. John, who has been missing in action for over 14 years. In addition, Hawke brings in his old friend Dominic Santini to aid him on his mission. They have less than 48 hours to bring Airwolf out of Libya, if they don't want an all-out war to occur. And so begins the legend of Airwolf - a tale of espionage and pulse-pounding action involving a customized Bell 222 helicopter. Jan-Michael Vincent delivers a no-nonsense role as the show's antihero Hawke. Shortly after Hawke takes Airwolf with him, he keeps it away from the Firm's grasp. In exchange for more clues to his brother's whereabouts, Hawke and Santini embark on more dangerous missions - many of them involving the Soviet forces. Sadly, like many top TV shows in the '80s, Airwolf met its demise within its third season. Vincent developed personal problems to the point where he was kicked out of the show. As a result, the cast was completely revamped and the show went completely downhill. But now, you can relive the glory of the show's first season in a two-disc DVD set. The 11 episodes in the set may look pretty grainy and the audio is still in mono, but hey - $29.99 (Best Buy price) for 10 hours ain't too bad. If you grew up watching Airwolf, then go get this DVD. And while you're at it, save up for the 1/48 diecast. Rating: B+ DVD Extras: F If Universal gave Miami Vice and Knight Rider the royal treatment, why not Airwolf? 16. Benoit locked Tajiri in the Crossface. Tajiri grabbed a kendo stick and tried to break out of the hold by hitting Benoit with it, but Benoit grabbed it and used it for added leverage to make Tajiri tap out.
  17. Last night on RAW: - Last week, Lita turned her back on Kane to help Edge become the #1 contender. That left Kane crying out of the arena. - Bischoff declared the episode "The Death of ECW" as he told the audience how he killed the company. Then, Vinnie Mac appeared. He told Bischoff that WWE secretly funded ECW while Bischoff "raped and pillaged" their locker rooms and snagged away their talents. Vinnie Mac then said that while Bischoff may credit himself for killing ECW, Vince is proud to say he killed WCW. Paul Heyman then appeared and challenged Bischoff to bring his men to the ECW PPV. - Last week, the Benoit/Tajiri match was called off because Bischoff banned ECW rules. Vinnie Mac had the match restarted last night. Even though the match was rather short, it was worth watching two of the best talents on the roster in action. - HHH is back. Yawn.
  18. Yes, fansubs are the ones with the subtitles embedded into the video. And the DVD by FX will need a good set of subtitle scripts, as the English translation is laughable.
  19. For the first time this year, I skipped a WWE PPV event, and I'm glad I did. But just for the hell of it, here are the results: WWE Judgment Day Results WWE Tag Team Championship MNM def. Hardcore Holly & Charlie Haas Carlito Caribbean Cool def. Big Show WWE Cruiserweight Championship Paul London def. Chavo Guerrero Booker T. def. Kurt Angle WWE United States Championship Orlando Jordan def. Heidenreich Rey Mysterio def. Eddie Guerrero by DQ WWE Championship - "I Quit!" John Cena made John Bradshaw Layfield quit. BTW, did anyone here actually pick up John Cena's CD You Can't See Me?
  20. If you didn't notice, HLJ has security measures to prevent people from directly posting their pics to other sites.
  21. Nice HLJ logo, Warmaker.
  22. I watched the trailer two nights ago before seeing Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and I'm not impressed at all. Rob Cohen's gone senile ever since xXx, and he should just retire from the director's chair.
  23. Damn! That blue Jedi is HOT! Amy Allen
