Chris Benoit made Eddie Guerrero tap out. Mike Awesome destroyed Masato Tanaka via plancha after he put Tanaka through a table. The Dudleyz def. Sandman & Tommy Dreamer after putting Dreamer through a flaming table. After the match, Stone Cold Steve Austin entered the ring and invited the WWE "Crusaders" to come over. A battle royal ensued. In the middle of the chaos, Tazz choked out Kurt Angle. After the WWE wrestlers left the ring, the ECW roster took turns doing their finishers on Eric Bischoff.
  2. As a matter of fact, yes - people still read comics. Shortly after Sin City came out, I bought books 1, 3 and 4 of the graphic novel. A lot of MW members still read Batman and X-Men.
  3. As of today, Mr. & Mrs. Smith is rated 60% Fresh at Rotten Tomatoes.com. However, that only means it's just 1% above Rotten, and one additional review will change the movie's status tomorrow.
  4. I actually found out about these TV movie sequels just a couple of years ago while I was flipping through channels. Personally, I thought the first Darkman was a great movie (after all, it was directed by Sam Raimi), but the sequels were just plain boring. And if you have a hard time trying to erase X-Men from your memory, try it with Steel.
  5. How could I forget these two movies? Darkman II: The Return of Durant Darkman III: Die Darkman Die
  6. This Sunday, WWE will present ECW One Night Stand. As you saw on RAW and SmackDown!, ECW veterans Sandman, Rhyno, Ballz Mahoney and Axl Rotten made their appearance alongside Benoit, Tazz, Tajiri, Tommy Dreamer and the Dudleyz. In addition, promos have been hinting of an appearance by Sabu. The problem is that this PPV is ECW only by name. Since it's handled by WWE, expect very little compared to the old ECW shows. Besides, how can ECW be ECW with a TV-14 rating?
  7. Anyone here listen to the Twelve Girls Band?
  8. Well, the movie premieres today. If anyone bought a ticket, tell us if the movie was good or not.
  9. Hearing about Herbie brings out one Hollywood definition of irony:
  10. Right now, I'm happy with my 1/18 diecast of the 1989 Batmobile. I've never worked with the plastic kits, as I've avoided AMT-Ertl kits after Knight Rider and The A-Team, but I suspect that whatever's on the shelves right now is a reissue. Speaking of diecasts, does anyone have the battle-damaged version of the 1/18 Batmobile?
  11. Well, I saved the best for last. Here's the 1989 Batmobile from Batman and Batman Returns.
  12. Here's Adam West's ride from the 1966 TV series. Batman: "Quick, Robin! To the Batmobile!"
  13. Here's the 1995 version from Batman Forever. Alfred: "Can I persuade you to take a sandwich with you, sir?" Batman: "I'll get drive-thru."
  14. Time to show pics of the live-action Batmobiles (other than the Tumbler). Here's the 1997 version from Batman & Robin, probably the least favorite among fans. Robin: "I want a car. Chicks dig the car." Batman: "This is why Superman works alone."
  15. Yeah, Mattel used that same design and tweaked it for their Batman toy line. The deluxe-sized version features a detachable motorcycle. Last year, the toy was recalled because kids were injured by the tail fins.
  16. That Batmobile was designed by Barbara Ling, who also did the 1997 model. Giger submitted a concept sketch of his version, but it was rejected.
  17. All right - time to shift gears on this thread. Since June is Batman month, let's talk about the Batmobile. Of the Batmobiles used in the live-action features, which do you think is the best? (Please note that the Batmobiles used in the 1940s serials do not count, as they were merely just regular cars.) 1966 Batmobile (Batman TV series) 1989 Batmobile (Batman & Batman Returns, and some OnStar commercials) 1995 Batmobile (Batman Forever) 1997 Batmobile (Batman & Robin) The Tumbler (Batman Begins)
  18. How is it compared to the first movie?
  19. What color are you gonna get? Maybe one of these days, you'll race with Vostok 7.
  20. Biffle's a great driver, having won the Craftsman Truck and Busch Series championships. If he becomes NEXTEL Cup Champion, he'll be NASCAR's first-ever triple-crown champion. And unlike Hendrick Motorsports (which is just Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson, while Brian Vickers, Kyle Busch and Terry Labonte get little or no support at all), each driver of Roush Racing is capable of winning. Matt Kenseth was always overshadowed by Dale Earnhardt, Jr.'s popularity, but he proved everyone wrong by becoming the 2000 Rookie of the Year and 2003 Winston Cup (the last one before NEXTEL moved in) Champion. Kurt Busch may have a bit of an attitude problem, but his consistency gave him last year's championship. Mark Martin may be on his final season, but he can still race with the younger generation. And let's not forget Carl Edwards. Last year, when he was given the job to drive the #99 car, he had absolutely no sponsorship. Nevertheless, he impressed race fans with a top-5 finish in Atlanta. And so far, he brought out the best finish this year when he beat Johnson in Atlanta by mere inches. I only got to see portions of the race. Missed the big one triggered by Vickers. At least Wonderpunk got sent to the wall. Wow, at least they're lenient on bringing food & drinks. Last time I went to California Speedway, they confiscated anything in cans or glass jars. And just like every sporting venue, they charge an arm and a leg for beer and hot dogs.
  21. I could care less about Michael Jackson or Prince. Dee Snider can and will kick their asses.
  22. Did anyone catch yesterday's NASCAR race? It wasn't as exciting as last week's Coca-Cola 600, but Dover International Raceway proved to be a hell of a Monster Mile: - For a third race week in a row, Jeff Gordon has failed to finish a race. Wonderpunk blamed Tony Stewart for spinning him to the outside wall. Stewart, on the other hand, explained that Wonderpunk didn't give enough clearance for him to pass. Regardless of which, Wonderpunk got what was coming. - There's just no stopping Roush Racing this year, as Greg Biffle took home the checkered flag for a fourth time, despite damaging his car during his victory burnout.
  23. Just wondering, what Batman Begins merchandise have you guys picked up so far? I was thinking of picking up the Batmobile, but I don't know if it's worth it.
