  1. Yeah, but most people don't watch Hsu Chi (or Shu Qi, whichever's easier to remember) movies to see her act. They just want to see her. But then again, there's always Dynamix if you want to see her at all...
  2. Next month, Jason Statham reprises his role as former Special Forces operative Frank Martin in the sequel to the 2002 action flick The Transporter. But the question is this: is anyone gonna watch Transporter 2? And what do you guys think of his new ride - the Audi A8 W12 Quattro? Transporter 2
  3. Maybe I should. Later this year, I'll post a poll thread over at the Test Forum to determine the A7 Avatar Babe of the Year.
  4. Well, Naruto debuts on Cartoon Network on September 10. The English dub script will be handled by Steven Blum (Spike in Cowboy Bebop, Roger in The Big O) and will feature the voices of Maile Flanagan as Naruto, Yuri Lowenthal (Taro in Hanaukyo Maid Team: La Verite) as Sasuke, Kate Higgins (Eldegard in Planetes) as Sakura, Dave Wittenberg (Kaoru in Ai Yori Aoshi, Kei in Please Teacher!) as Kakashi, and Kirk Thornton (Brandon Heat/Beyond the Grave in Gungrave, Gain in Overman King Gainer) as Tazuna. No word on when the first DVD volume will be released.
  5. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=6934 We really don't need another Naruto thread.
  6. None of the above. Even if I had a million bucks, I wouldn't blow $$$ on overpriced sports cars that spend half their lifetime in the garage. Besides, no one wants to be featured on Wrecked Exotics. Although I wouldn't mind test-driving the Ferrari FXX...
  7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDtCEyWV1ic Bill & Ted's Most Excellent Collection Nelson Entertainment/Orion Pictures, 1988, 1991 MGM Home Video, 2005 Created by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon Running Time: 90 minutes per film Rated PG for some heinous violence, mature situations and egregious language, dude. Cast Keanu Reeves as Ted "Theodore" Logan Alex Winter as Bill S. Preston, ESQ. George Carlin as Rufus Amy Stock-Poynton as Missy ("I mean, mom...") Hal Landon, Jr. as Capt. Logan J. Patrick McNamara as Mr. Preston Guest Cast (Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure) Terry Camilleri as Napoleon Bonaparte ("The Short Dead Dude") Dan Shor as Billy the Kid Tony Steedman (1927-2001) as Socrates Rod Loomis as Dr. Sigmund Freud Al Leong as Genghis Khan Jane Wiedlin as Joan of Arc ("Noah's Wife?") Robert V. Barron (1932-2000) as Abraham Lincoln Clifford David as Ludvig Von Beethoven Diane Franklin as Princess Joanna Kimberly Kates as Princess Elizabeth Frazier Bain as Deacon Logan Guest Cast (Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey) William Sadler as Death Josh Ackland as Chuck De Nomolos Arturo Gil as Station Annette Azcuy as Elizabeth Sarah Trigger as Joanna Michael Chambers as Good Robot Bill Bruno Falcon as Good Robot Ted Bill: "I'm Bill S. Preston, Esquire!" Ted: "And I'm Ted 'Theodore' Logan!" Bill & Ted: "And together we are... Wyld Stallyns!!!" Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure Directed by Stephen Herek (The Mighty Ducks, Mr. Holland's Opus) Way into the future, mankind lives in peace, all thanks to two most excellent dudes from the 20th century - Bill S. Preston, ESQ., and Ted "Theodore" Logan, collectively known as "Wyld Stallyns." But in order for this future to exist, Bill & Ted have to get an A on their history project. With the aid of a time-travelling phone booth supplied by some dude named Rufus, Bill & Ted venture to the past and pick up historical figures which will guarantee them a bodacious grade. King: "Put them in the Iron Maiden." Bill & Ted: "Iron Maiden? Excellent!" [Air guitar] King: "Execute them." Bill & Ted: "Bogus." Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey Directed by Peter Hewitt (Garfield: The Movie) All is well in the future until the evil dickweed De Nomolos sends two evil robot clones of Bill & Ted to the present day as part of his non-non-non-non-heinous scheme to change history. When our heroes are killed, they must battle Death to win back their lives and prevent De Nomolos and his robots from ruining the future. "Station!" Long before Keanu Reeves had a most triumphant career in Hollywood, he and Alex Winter were two slackers playing air guitar in this two-movie collection. Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure brings back memories of the '80s, when most cheesy movies were actually fun to watch, but don't really stand the test of time. Despite an egregious soundtrack and a bonehead script, the first movie is still a load of laughs. The second film has a much darker tone, as it focuses on Bill & Ted's struggle to return to the real world. While the music (featuring songs by Primus and KISS) is more excellent than the first film's, Bogus Journey just isn't as memorable. Nevertheless, it's still worth checking out. Overall, this boxed set makes an excellent rental for most movie fans. Unless you hate the '80s, you won't be totally disappointed, dudes. Rating: Non-Heinous DVD Extras: Most Excellent In addition to both films, MGM threw in a bonus DVD simply titled "Bill & Ted's Non-Bogus Disc," which includes the following extras: - The Original Bill & Ted - A conversation with creators Matheson and Solomon. - The Most Triumphant Making-of Documentary - Includes interviews with Alex Winter and the movie's directors. Keanu's not here, though. Bogus. - Score! - An interview with guitarist Steve Vai. - Air Guitar Tutorial - There are contests for this? - The Historical Personages of Bill & Ted - A mockumentary of our heroes. - One Sweet and Sour Chinese Adventure to Go - The first episode of the cartoon series. - The Linguistic Stylings of Bill & Ted - A video dictionary of the duo's favorite quotes. - From Scribble to Script - A gallery of the evolution of the film's script. - Radio Spots "Catch you later, dudes!" 12. Just wondering, has anyone here ever driven a Taurus SHO?
  13. HHH decided to take time off TV. Unfortunately, the Hollywood script writers have taken over since then.
  14. WWE SummerSlam 2005 Results Sunday Night Heat Opener "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters trapped the Hurricane in the Masterlock. WWE United States Championship Chris Benoit made Orlando Jordan tap out in 30 seconds to become the new U.S. Champion. Edge beat Matt Hardy to a bloody pulp. Ladder Match - Custody of Dominick Rey Mysterio def. Eddie Guerrero for full custody of his son after Eddie's wife interfered. Gold Medals on the Line Kurt Angle made Eugene tap out. Phenom vs. Legend-Killer Randy Orton landed the RKO on the Undertaker. WWE Championship John Cena landed the F-U on Chris Jericho. World Heavyweight Championship - No Holds Barred Batista destroyed JBL with a Batista Bomb on the ring steps. Legend vs. Icon Hulk Hogan landed the leg drop on Shawn Michaels. After the match, both shook hands.
  15. That reminds me of the time two guys gutted a Ford Festiva and stuffed a Taurus SHO engine behind the seats, thus creating the SHOgun.
  16. Dude, American car companies have been doing that for decades: Chevrolet Nova - Originally one of the great muscle cars of the late '60s and early '70s, the last incarnation was a retooled Toyota Corolla in the mid '80s. Pontiac Le Mans - Once a formidable coupe in the '60s, the Le Mans name ended up on a crappy Daewoo sedan in the '80s. Mercury Cougar - The original luxury muscle car of the '60s became a Ford Thunderbird clone in the '80s before winding up into a mediocre FWD coupe in the late '90s. Mercury Capri - Was a twin of the Mustang in the '80s, but ended up becoming a wimpy roadster. (I'll let bsu legato explain more on this car...) Dodge Charger - The classic muscle car lost its reputation in the '80s when its name was slapped on a hatchback. The 2006 incarnation is no better.
  17. Seriously, the show really doesn't need to attract the import tuner fans. There should also be a rule on Overhaulin' which doesn't allow overhauling of 1990s or newer car models, as they don't (and won't) have the same 'WOW' factor as the Mustangs or Chevelles customized on the show.
  18. Seriously, wtf. That's the most un-even selection of cars. 321531[/snapback] From what I know, the Cobalt and Jetta modifications are supervised by engineers from GM and VW, respectively. And since no Japanese company decided to participate, the show's producers thought they'd just grab an old Skyline and have XS Tuning work on it. Still, this is a major mismatch. Scion should've jumped in with the tC.
  19. Speaking of hit or miss, what do you think of the 1995 Honda Civic coupe that Foose overhauled? (Yeah, some people wonder why a hot rod guy is doing rice all of a sudden.)
  20. For those who watch Overhaulin', which are your favorites among all the cars restored by Foose & Co.? Here's mine: Season 1 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle ("Parts Guy") Ian Zierring's 1968 Chevrolet Camaro ("902-Merlot") 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air ("School's Out") Season 2 1964 Chevrolet Corvette ("Body Off") 1968 Oldsmobile 442 ("The 4-4-New") 1965 Ford Mustang ("Rustang") 1971 Dodge Challenger ("Challenging Mopar") Lance Armstrong's Pontiac GTO ("Live Strong") 1970 Ford Mustang ("Gambler 514") 1952 GMC Pickup ("Butterscorched") Chevrolet Camaro ("Thievin' Teacher") Chevrolet Chevelle ("Double Haulin'") 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle ("Soldier's Ride") Season 3 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air ("Bel Air BBQ") 1969 Plymouth Road Runner Convertible ("Wiley and the Road Runner") Check out the Overhaulin' Gallery for pics (except for the Season 3 cars, which aren't up yet).
  21. Well, that was a tough one. Ranma defeated Kirin with the Kachu Tenshin Amaguriken using the geyser to throw water projectiles, breaking through Kirin's chopstick techniques. I'm out of questions at the moment, so for the meantime, it's a free-for-all.
  22. Time to switch gears on this thread. Right now, what car-related TV shows are you watching? Here's what I've been checking out: 1. Overhaulin (TLC) - "The owner gets tricked, the car gets tricked out." Master car designer Chip Foose and the Overhaulin' team turn a rusted-up heap into a rolling masterpiece in seven days. 2. Rides (TLC) - Where some of the wildest custom car jobs can be seen. 3. American Muscle Car (SPEED) - A comprehensive look at classic American cars of the '60s. 4. Unique Whips (SPEED) - A candid look at the employees at New York-based Unique Automotive and the cars they customize for big-name celebrities. 5. Street Tuner Challenge (SPEED) - Three different teams customize an '05 Chevy Cobalt Supercharged SS, an '05 Volkswagen Jetta and a Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 to see which of the three is the best. 6. American Chopper (Discovery) - The adventures of Paul Sr. & Paul Jr., and the world-famous Orange County Choppers. 7. Texas Hardtails (SPEED) - "I like bikes 'n' beer, guns 'n' girls." Imagine American Chopper meets Seinfeld, featuring the crew of Strokers Dallas bike shop. 8. Pinks (SPEED) - "Lose the Race, Lose Your Ride." Drivers duke it out in a 1/4-mile drag race with their pink slips on the line. 9. Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain (SPEED) - A sports talk show dedicated exclusively to auto racing (and not just NASCAR). 10. Build or Bust (SPEED) - Inexperienced mechanics have 30 days to build a custom chopper in hopes of owning it (if it runs).
  23. Now for some wrestling news: - Former NWA-TNA X-Division Champion Frank Kazarian has left the WWE after working just a few episodes of Velocity. Like many other superstars, Kazarian was upset over the fact that the creative team had nothing for him. - Seriously, will WWE just accept the fact that the Road Warriors died when Hawk died? What's the whole point of tagging Animal with - of all people - Heidenreich? - There have been reports that 2005 RAW Diva Search winner Ashley was a Playboy Cybergirl of the month. That doesn't surprise me at all. Anyone have the pics, BTW?
