That's actually pretty good. Perhaps buying newer Revell kits isn't too bad after all.

A little competition didn't hurt anyone. I'm sure Tamiya will come up with their F430 kit. What a rip-off. I hate curbside. If it's one thing a car model kit needs, it's an engine. And curbside takes the fun out of it. I bet it's a recycled kit, as Tamiya likes to do that with their car and fighter plane kits. But hey - a 20-year-old Tamiya kit is still better than a brand new Revell kit. Speaking of Revell, I may have to bite the bullet and buy their 2005 Mustang kit, as no one else will make one.

Speaking of which, there was an interview with Brooke Hogan wherein she mentioned that she can kick Lindsay Lohan's ass if given the chance.

News from TopWrestling.com: With TNA inking their 52-week deal with SpikeTV, many wrestlers who were released from the WWE early this year have jumped in. Just to name a few: Jackie Gayda, Charlie Haas and Gail Kim. Jushin "Thunder" Liger has also been signed for the Bound for Glory PPV. While TNA failed to sign in Mick Foley, they are attempting to bring in Kevin Nash, Sting and other old WCW names before their SpikeTV debut. -- Despite having never worked for the company, Sabu was offered a WWE Legends contract; he turned it down, citing no interest in contracts.

Mark your calendars, folks. Bo-bobo premieres on Cartoon Network on September 30.

Can't be that bad. Remember the XFL?

Now this is sweet. Here's Cervini's body kit for the Mustang GT: Remember, don't "quote" these images. We only need to see them once on this thread.

I like the fact that he's emulating the characteristics of '80s wrestlers (i.e. "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, Hercules Hernandez) but yeah, Chris Masters really needs to work on his gimmick. What worked 20 years ago doesn't work today. -- Here's a story that was mentioned on the weekly radio show Squared Circle: Talk on Professional Wrestling: Several years ago, when ECW was still around, Paul Heyman told many of his wrestlers to patent their names ASAP. Apparently, when the WWE acquired ECW, the Dudley Boyz did not patent their names. As many of you already know, the Dudleyz were recently released from the WWE. And because of this, they are no longer allowed to wrestle as the Dudleyz. They're currently working on independent shows as "Team 3D." Aside from losing his ring name, Matt Hyson (formerly known as Spike Dudley) cannot portray a character that bears the likeness of his WWE gimmick. -- Also, does anyone here remember Ahmed Johnson?

Can we somehow limit how much can be quoted?
areaseven replied to Metal_Massacre_79's topic in MW Site News & Member Feedback
Tell me about it. Over at the MW Automotive Thread, I posted some pics and they got duplicated twice. Because of this, I backtracked and replaced the pic with another, but the two duplicate pics are still there. Good thing I posted my first set of Mustang pics as attachments instead of hosting them on my server; otherwise, all eight pics would've been duplicated at least four times, given the number of replies. -
I watched the movie again, and apparently, the Nakazato character we know in the manga and anime practically does not exist in the movie. The likeness is there along with the R32, but personality-wise, the character we see in the movie is basically Keisuke - just rewritten as Nakazato.

Yeah. Worse is the fact that people quote an image (even after I place a disclaimer not to do so). -
Saint Seiya Hades Arc Sequal Confirmed

Don't we already have a Saint Seiya super thread? http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=5662 -
I just picked up the Tai Seng R1 DVD from Chinatown today. Here are some observations from what the movie (WARNING: Spoilers ahead): - Instead of Eurobeat, the movie uses cheap rap/hip-hop music that's just as inane as Tokyopop's version of the anime. - For no good reason, Keisuke and Iketani are not in the movie. Without Keisuke, there is no FD3S; however, instead of the AE85 Levin, Itsuki drives Iketani's S13 Silvia. Of course, he trashes it in the beginning. - Itsuki's character was reworked to become Yuuichi's son. - We're not supposed to know who Natsuki's "papa" is until later on. Him giving her an envelope of cash in the beginning of the movie already gives his identity away. - Since when were Ryousuke and Nakazato friends? - Why is Nakazato drifting? The whole point of him driving an R32 is to get away from drifting by using grip techniques. - For some odd reason, the license plates have been slightly blurred out. - Since Keisuke's been written out, part of his character has been incorporated into Nakazato. Still doesn't feel right. - WTF? So that's why we see Akina decals on the white AE86. That particular one belongs to Itsuki after trading in the S13. - Gee, I wonder how much Pepsi paid to advertise on this movie? Overall, despite its faults, the live-action Initial D is still pretty entertaining. Most of the CG effects look cheesy (especially Kyouichi's crash), but the car chase scenes are more realistic than 2 Fast 2 Furious (but then again, that's not saying much). Fans of the manga and anime, as well as Asian Film collectors, should check it out at least once. Of course, there may be a chance of a sequel coming soon... EDIT: Well, what do you know? This Tai Seng DVD is Region 1.

Already a bonafide member, having been a fan of Macross Plus and Gunbuster for over a decade. Not to mention the only fan of Figure 17 around here.

Wow, Thai Moves Have Come A Long Way, Ong Bak....
areaseven replied to Kamui 777's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior ( à¸à¸‡à¸„์บาภ) Baa-Ram-Ewe/Sahamongkol Film, 2003 EuropaCorp/Golden Network/2929 Entertainment/Magnolia Pictures, 2005 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, 2005 Directed by Prachya Pinkaew (Born to Fight) Rated R for graphic martial arts violence, sexual situations, drug use and profanity. The R1 DVD release of Ong-Bak is upon us, but is it worth buying compared to the numerous bootlegs found on eBay? Here's the lowdown on the DVD's contents. Picture Quality As with many R1 releases of Asian films, FOX's DVD release of Ong-Bak boasts a cleaner picture and higher contrast than the R3 or bootleg releases. Sound Quality The Thai soundtrack is presented in Dolby Surround 5.1. Also included is an English dub in Dolby Surround 2.1. And to no surprise, the English dub is among the worst ever recorded for a martial arts flick. And as reported on one of my earlier posts, EuropaCorp replaced most of the BGM with some cheesy French hip-hop music. In comparison to the original soundtrack, the new music completely detracts from the film, especially during the bar fights and the tuk-tuk chase scene. Extras Like the R3 and bootlegs, the R1 release has the Eight Movements of Muay Thai. It also carries many of the features of the R2 European release: Live - Tony Jaa and Stuntmen Performance Before French Auditorium Audience "Je reste ghetto" by Tragedie featuring Reed the Weed - French rap video featuring Tony Jaa The Making of the Rap Video Mentioned Above - Who cares? Selected B-Roll - Outtakes of the tuk-tuk chase, the arena fight and Tony Jaa with his pants on fire. Promotional Video Featuring The RZA - What a waste of time. Trailers - Two from the original Thai release plus two from France and two American ones - one of which has RZA pimping the film like it was his. In short, if you don't mind the extra crap on the disc, pick up the R1 release. But then again, the nauseating music will have you ordering the bootleg immediately. -

Check out your local Best Buy or Suncoast today to see if the R1 DVD release of Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior is out. I just saw a commercial of it last night while watching The Ultimate Fighter 2 on SpikeTV. -
Good thing I never got past the first car chase scene.
