Yeah, watch it drop further once it hits theatres next week. I'll still watch it, though - even after I spent my allocated movie money on The Pursuit of Happyness. -

Oh well, might as well give my $0.02 on episode 1... Coyote Ragtime Show (コヨーテ ラグタイムショー) ufotable, 2006 ADV Films, 2007; Funimation, 2010 Directed by Takuya Nonaka (Armitage: Dual-Matrix, Hanaukyo Maid Team: La Verite) Running Time: 25 minutes per episode Rated TV-14 for graphic violence, mature situations and strong language. Cast (Japanese) Akio Ohtsuka (Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid, Kalinin in Full Metal Panic!) as Mister Kenyuu Horiuchi (Sanson in Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water) as Bishop Tomokazu Seki (Sousuke in Full Metal Panic!, Van in Escaflowne) as Katana Atsuko Yuya (Rin in Midori Days) as Angelica Burns Noriko Shitaya (Himeko in Kannazuki no Miko, Sakura in Fate/stay night) as Chelsea Moore Ryou Hirohashi (Kim in Area 88, Integra in Solty Rei) as Franca Houchu Ohtsuka (Jiraiya in Naruto, Chibodee in Mobile Fighter G-Gundam) as Pirate King Bruce Yoko Soumi (B.C. in Vandread, Radinov in Gunsmith Cats) as Madame Marciano Cast (English) John Swasey (Global in Macross, Rikudoh in RahXephon) as Mister Lowell Bartholomee (Tetsuro in The Guyver: Bio-Boosted Armor) as Bishop Chris Patton (Ayato in RahXephon, Sousuke in Full Metal Panic!) as Katana Christine M. Auten (Sakaki in Azumanga Daioh, Claudia in Macross) as Angelica Burns Monica Rial (Miharu in Gasaraki, Haruka in RahXephon) as Chelsea Moore Brittney Karbowski (Himeko in Pani Poni Dash!) as Franca John Gremillion (Shinjou in Area 88, Kunugi in RahXephon) as Pirate King Bruce Kira Vincent-Davis (Osaka in Azumanga Daioh, Quon in RahXephon) as Madame Marciano Synopsis Federal investigator Angelica Burns and her ditzy new partner Chelsea Moore arrive at a maximum security prison to make an inquiry on an imprisoned "coyote" known only as "Mister." Their timing couldn't be any more impeccable, as Mister's old partners Bishop and Katana stage his breakout by blowing up some parts of the prison. Making matters more complicated is the appearance of Marciano's 12 Sisters, a group of bloodthirsty female android assassins. Throughout the carnage, Mister finally makes his appearance and, with his partners, makes a quick and clever getaway on a quest to reunite with a girl named Franca and search for lost treasure left by her father. Story: B- The first episode promises a lot, but hardly delivers anything. So we have this hot older chick who manages to stay hot, despite her eating disorder. Then we have a dozen girls in maid costumes who may have been rejected from Gunslinger Girl. All this just for some old schmoe. The storyline just drags throughout the entire length of the episode; so it wouldn't be a surprise if you fall asleep after the first two minutes. And what's up with these hokey anime titles? Coyote Ragtime Show just sounds as bad as Pumpkin Scissors. Animation: A- Character designs by Jun Shibata (Bible Black, Nine O'Clock Woman) and Tomonori Sudou (Futakoi Alternative, Strawberry Marshmallow) look fairly good, but otherwise generic in comparison to other anime titles. Mechanical designs by Satoshi Takahashi (Tristia of the Deep Blue Sea) feature a very nice array of weapons. Animation quality is exceptionally good, with some nice 3D elements complementing the 2D art. Soundtrack: B Koichiro Kameyama's (Bobobo-Bo Bo-Bobo, Interlude) jazzy musical score feels random and is not very memorable, though the ending theme is pretty good. Sub vs. Dub The English voices are acceptable, but the overall voice acting is sub-par. It sounds like they're just reading lines instead of acting them out. DVD Extras Not yet available. The Bottom Line If you're expecting an anime of the same caliber as Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star, look somewhere else. Otherwise, Coyote Ragtime Show may be the perfect cure for insomnia. Oh, it's that bad? Why is ADV doing so much into promoting the title (especially paying Anime News Network to fully advertise it) (other than the fact that they don't care)?

Wow...I'm surprised no one here's talked about this anime. Official Site (Japanese) Watch the trailer and episode 1 of Coyote Ragtime Show on IGN

Awesome job, Graham. It's much bigger than I expected. Hopefully, I'll get mine before Christmas. Otherwise, I'll wait until my birthday this February.

Try asking BoBe-Patt and UN Spacy why they had to quote those pics in the first place. -

Detolfs or not, it was completely unnecessary to repost that pic, especially since it's half a megabyte in size. -

All I have to say is this: If the trailer represents what the final product will look like, I'll just go watch Orientation instead. Even though the film's 10 years old, the CG effects look way much better than what HG has thrown at us. -

BoBe-Patt, do you mind if you removed the pics from your reply? You're only talking about the Spiral Zone toys, not the Macross or Virtual On toys posted above. -
Anyone here going to the L.A. Auto Show this week? I'll probably drop by tomorrow and take a few pics.
