  1. The Nerd takes on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for the Atari 2600
  2. Well, since this is the resident tank thread, I thought I'd throw in a couple of tank videos from Top Gear: Range Rover Sport vs. Challenger II The Battlefield 2 Parody (Based on the video above) Chieftain Crushes Yugo
  3. Transformers: The Album is a music album that contains eight songs featured on the film (including "What I've Done" by Linkin Park) and four filler songs that weren't used in the film. It wasn't a good CD and fans complained that it didn't contain any of the orchestral music; so they made an online petition. As a result of that petition, Transformers: The Score was released this week. It's the orchestral score composed by Steve Jablonsky, and almost every single track was used in the film. The tracks are arranged slightly differently from what you hear in the film, but it's still an excellent soundtrack CD.
  4. Woohoo! I got my TF Score CD today in the mail. Just finished ripping it to MP3 format and I'm listening to it at the moment. A full review will be up later tomorrow at the Transformers on DVD thread.
  5. Fortunately, I pre-ordered mine late last month through Amazon.com. Will get it in my mailbox by Friday.
  6. I'll wait until someone makes a live-action Bible Black movie.
  7. I did mention on my introduction post that the Wal-Mart edition is the single-disc DVD with the bonus prequel DVD. Here are the links to pre-order the DVD: Best Buy ($29.99) Target ($22.99) (No mention of the transforming case, though.) Circuit City ($13.99) (It appears they're only carrying the single-disc edition at the moment.) As for me, I already ordered mine from both Wal-Mart and Target. Yeah, I'm taking a gamble on the Target order, but I could really care less about the transforming case.
  8. As many of you already know, Transformers hits stores on October 16. But as expected, Hasbro/Paramount/DreamWorks want all of your money, so they've decided to release the DVD in various editions in certain store chains. Which of these exclusive versions are you getting? A Summary of DVD Exclusive Pack-Ins
  9. The only Gestalts I've completed were Computron and JRX.
  10. Thanks. I used an 01-point Pigma Micron pen for the panel lines, but it came out too thick. I miss my old Rotring .01 pen (it was hairline-thin).
  11. Wow...that actually looks better than The Shadow Chronicles. Maybe those guys should be commissioned to do the effects for WB/Maguire Entertainment's so-called Robotech live-action film (which still should be done by Vivid Entertainment instead).
  12. WTF are those?!?
  13. For those who collect mecha kits outside of Gundam and Macross, this is the place to talk about them and post pictures. And now, IT'S SHOWTIME! MC-01 The Big-O ( THE ビッグオー ) Bandai, 2000 The first in Bandai's Mechanic Collection model kits, the Big-O is a well-designed replica of the Megadeus from the anime series of the same title. Like most Bandai kits, Big-O is a snap kit, which eliminates the need for glue. However, the parts are molded in a single color (dark sea gray for the body parts and the Roger Smith figurine; clear orange for the head and canopy parts), thus requiring some paint to make it presentable. Once assembled, Big-O makes for an excellent display piece. It's non-scale, but people have estimated it to be scaled between 1/144 and 1/160. Because of the nature of its design, poseability is somewhat limited. The shoulders cannot fold enough to achieve the shielding pose. Leg articulation is limited to most standing poses - crouching and sitting poses are not possible. The head can only turn left and right in 45-degree angles. On the bright side, the hands are completely articulate, achieving open-hand or closed-fist poses. Like its anime counterpart, Big-O's cockpit hatch opens and closes from below the neck. Perhaps the best gimmick of this kit is the spring-loaded Strike Piledriver on the back of each forearm. Simply pull back the Piledriver, and it springs forward while emitting a popping sound on the forearm. This feature is perfect when posing Big-O in its Sudden Impact punch stance. Because this kit was released shortly after Season 1 ended its run, it does not feature Season 2 weapons such as the gatling forearms, cannons and missile launchers on the torso. Nevertheless, if you love the series, pick up the model kit. Other Images Rear Quarter View Head Side View Cockpit Hatch Closed Cockpit Hatch Open Forearm Shields Finger Articulation
  14. Who said tanks were supposed to look good?
  15. More bad news, courtesy of Anime News Network:
  16. Well, there's always Corvette Summer.
  17. Exactly. That's why either Aria Giovanni, Tera Patrick or Veronica Zemanova should play WW.
  18. Sticking to the Halo 3 subject, has anyone here tried Mountain Dew Game Fuel? It's living proof that soft drinks can be addictive.
  19. Well, don't just reply with an apology - go do what Dante74 told you to do. Get a move on it, soldier!
  20. MisterRyno, please edit the large picture off your post. There are people here who aren't on Broadband, you know. You've already been told by Dante74 on the Display Your Collections thread about this.
  21. Target at the Glendale Galleria restocked on their TFs today. They have Deluxe Bonecrusher, Brawl, Scorponok and Wreckage in stock, as well as Leader Class Megatron and Brawl.
  22. Yeah, we talked about that months ago on the last TF thread.
  23. Yeah, it's sad to hear that Geneon's going under. After all, they did release whole bunch of favorites such as Trigun, Armitage III, Heat Guy J, R.O.D -The TV-, etc. What surprises me is that Central Park Media has outlasted Geneon, given the fact that CPM has released more crap titles than all of the domestic companies combined.
  24. Last week, when I was in Eagle Rock, Target had Ultimate Bumblebee in stock.
