RIP Roy Scheider (1932 - 2008)

"Smile, you son of a b*tch!" - Jaws (1975) It's sad that he left us so soon. Jaws and Blue Thunder were two of his best performances on screen. R.I.P., Roy. -

Thanks, guys. I really didn't do much with Bumblebee other than the panel lines, the silver parts and the blue B-pillar (which shouldn't even exist if you look at the actual car).

shadow strikers, two things: 1. Do you mind checking your grammar before posting? Run-on sentences are painful to read. 2. It's Valkyrie, NOT "valkery."

The Guitar Hero III vs. Rock Band Thread
areaseven replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Time to shift gears on this thread... There's no doubt that RedOctane/Activision and Harmonix/EA Games will release the next wave of sequels to Guitar Hero and Rock Band, respectively, either before Christmas or sometime early 2009. With that in mind, what songs would you like to see on the playlists? Here's my wish list: Guitar Hero IV "Breaking the Law" by Judas Priest "The Wicker Man" by Iron Maiden "Shout It Out Loud" by KISS "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC "Walk This Way" by Aerosmith "Paradise City" by Guns N' Roses "Tie Your Mother Down" by Queen "Armageddon It" by Def Leppard "Walk" by Pantera "Crazy Night" by Loudness Rock Band 2 "Painkiller" by Judas Priest "Aces High" by Iron Maiden "I Love It Loud" by KISS "Back in Black" by AC/DC "Livin' on the Edge" by Aerosmith "You Could Be Mine" by Guns N' Roses "Stone Cold Crazy" by Queen "Rocket" by Def Leppard "This Love" by Pantera -
Is it just me or is this the best song in years?

It's not all that. Besides, we already have a thread dedicated to music. -
It's so good, it almost makes you forget Rambo III existed. Some people even think it's better than Rambo: First Blood Part II.

Doomsday Coming on March 14 (a week after Roland Emmerich's much-anticipated film 10,000 BC hits theaters), Rogue Pictures presents Doomsday, an action/sci-fi film with shades of The Road Warrior and Escape From New York. Directed by Neil Marshall (The Descent), Doomsday stars Rhona Mitra (who is really hot, but has yet to land a decent film role) as Eden Sinclair, Bob Hoskins (Eddie Valiant in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Mario in that lame Super Mario Bros. movie) as Bill Nelson, and Malcolm McDowell (Alex in A Clockwork Orange, Adm. Tolwyn in Wing Commander III-IV) as Kane.

10,000 BC From director Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, Universal Soldier) comes 10,000 BC, an adventure that takes place during the Dawn of Man. The film stars Steven Strait (Caleb in The Covenant) as D'Leh, Camilla Belle (Jill in When a Stranger Calls) as Evolet and legendary actor Omar Sharif (Dr. Zhivago) as Old Baku. 10,000 BC premieres on March 7, and will be released by Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures.

Oh, that guy. I remember seeing his videos of him doing AC/DC and Iron Maiden songs (with only his hands).

It's too bad Martin Campbell's not directing this next film. Marc Forster may have gotten some recognition with Monster's Ball, Finding Neverland and The Kite Runner, but how will he fare as a Bond director?

Anyone here gonna watch Iron Maiden at the L.A. Forum on Feb. 19? I want to go, but tickets are sold out, and, as usual, being scalped on eBay.

The Guitar Hero III vs. Rock Band Thread
areaseven replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Nyko Introduces First Third-Party Wii Guitar. After impressing PS2 owners with the Frontman wireless guitar controller (their rendition of the Gibson X-Plorer), Nyko gives Wii owners a controller heavily inspired by the Fender American Ash Telecaster. Meanwhile, Nyko is also releasing their Frontman for the PS3. And while RedOctane and Harmonix's guitar controllers clash with their games, Nyko's guitar has a switch (shaped like a pedal) that lets you play both Guitar Hero and Rock Band. -
