  1. Amazingly, Eleanor still runs, even after all that damage. I've also heard great things about The French Connection. Will pick it up when I get a chance. Also, has anyone here seen the original The Italian Job? I'm not gonna bother with the remake, as I don't care much for the new Mini Cooper. Another chase scene worth mentioning is in the Jackie Chan film Who Am I?, where Jackie and two Japanese chicks are in an EVO IV being chased by a group of thugs in BMWs. In truth, it's not really among the best and it's cheesy at most, but still enjoyable.
  2. Florida-based Mr. Norm's has a couple of performance packages for the new Dodge Challenger. Both the Super Challenger and Super Cuda are powered by 6.1 liter Hemi V8 engines modified with Kenne-Bell superchargers that generate either 650 bhp or - get this - 900 bhp. 2009 Mr. Norm's Super Dodge Challenger 2009 Mr. Norm's Super Cuda
  3. Actually, it's a matter of identifying which one isn't off-scale, as the Toynami Valk obviously is.
  4. Got mine for HK$275 at the Sino Centre in Mong Kok. A lot of people were buying the VF-25F when I got there. It's the Toynami 1/100 Super Valk 3-pack (HKS$580) that's collecting dust there. Even the clerk told me in very broken English that they suck.
  5. There were rumors that the new movie will feature both the new Nissan GT-R and the Hyundai Genesis Coupe.
  6. Well, I think the original Gone in 60 Seconds (not the crappy 2000 remake) is still the Hardcore Champion of Car Chases. Unlike the cheesy CG on the new one, the original's 30-foot jump was real. Of course, Vanishing Point (the original; don't know about the remake) and Bullitt shouldn't be missed, either.
  7. Saw Watchmen last night, and I enjoyed it a lot. Sure, it's not The Dark Knight, Iron Man or Sin City, but it's one of the 10 best superhero films, IMO.
  8. That trick doesn't work on mine. The problem is with the extra leg parts for Gerwalk mode. Even after a couple of coats of clear nail polish, the tabs on those parts are still loose.
  9. Good. Bandai's milked the Gundam franchise dry years ago. The last thing we need is another Gundam series with a repetitive storyline and uninteresting characters. At least they won't be making another G-Saviour disaster.
  10. Agent ONE should upgrade to this... 2009 Sector111 Lotus Exige
  11. Late last week, I posted pictures of my collection at the 1/48+fp's, 1/60, And 1/72 Picture Gallery Pt 3 thread. yellowlightman went on to quote all six of the images simply to reply with a one-word sentence just to annoy me. I promptly removed the images from my Photobucket account and uploaded them as attachments. Later on, I discovered that yellowlightman had copied my pictures and uploaded them on TinyPic just so he can keep the quoted images on his reply. My Original Post on the Thread Thread Post in Question The bottom line is that I never gave yellowlightman permission to repost my images on a different hosting site. For the past three years, yellowlightman has held a personal grudge on me, and he has gone too far by stealing my own pictures.
  12. That's because that's not Kakizaki. That's a Ben Dixon MPC.
  13. My first WrestleMania was in 1987, when my mom brought me and my sister to the Universal Amphitheater to watch WrestleMania III on closed-circuit TV. From X8 (2002) to 21 (2005), I watched WM at my friend's place. After the Benoit incident in 2007, I stopped watching WWE altogether. Occasionally, I drop by YouTube and watch archives of FMW and IWS. Other than that, pro wrestling is just not interesting anymore.
  14. My brother just got Resident Evil 5 for the PS3, so I thought I'd have fun with the enclosed 2GB flash drive.
  15. Got my 1/72 VF-25S (regular and Super) Messiah kits over the weekend. Already assembled the regular version while staying at a hotel. This week, I'll disassemble and paint the parts. The Super Messiah will be in the works this Summer, as I'll be looking into using more professional-grade paints for it.
  16. I got mine in Hong Kong over the weekend. While drawing panel lines, I noticed that the back panel has a surface that looks like someone dropped some glue and let it dry. Also, the joints are very loose. I've applied clear nail polish on most of the joints, but I'm disappointed that it can't stand well on Gerwalk mode. Thus, I'm keeping it displayed on Battroid mode.
  17. Animate over in Mong Kok had both the VF-25F and VF-25S for HK$1,280.
  18. Yeah, it ain't cheap wherever I go. At the V-Mall in Greenhills, the DX VF-25S is going for PHP8,900. But the worst example of price gouging is at the Hong Kong Airport, where one of the Duty Free shops has a Yamato 1/60 VF-1J (2.0 without FAST Pack) for HK$1,180.
  19. My problem with the DX VF-25 is that it's overpriced. Over the weekend, I scouted all over Hong Kong and Kowloon to look for one. So far, I only found them in the Mong Kok district for HK$1,280. In the end, I bought a 1/100 VF-25F (HK$285), a 1/72 VF-25S kit (HK$250) and a 1/72 VF-25S Super Messiah kit (HK$540), as well as a Tenjin Hidetaka Valkyrie illustration book (HK$550).
  20. The 1/72 has seen better days. It's got paint chips mainly at the tabs, which really isn't a big deal. The kite emblem on the 1/60 is just losing its adhesion, so I'll fix that sometime soon.
  21. I never thought that was possible (but then again, perhaps it was the late Raul Julia that made the Van Damme movie somewhat watchable).
