  1. I enjoyed ID4 simply for what it is: an over-the-top popcorn flick. Despite its cheesy dialogue and simple plot, it sure beats any film adaptation of War of the Worlds - even the old 1953 version. BTW, Randy Quaid piloted an F/A-18 Hornet, not an F-16.
  2. I take it you didn't like the first Jurassic Park film, then.
  3. Yet another car chase occurred in California; this time, it was a Scion xB against a whole highway patrol squad. Crazy Highway Car Chase in Orange County, CA
  4. There's the plot of some strange meteorite or random object crashing into Earth and infesting the human population. The most recent example is Slither.
  5. Ah, true, but it wasn't really discussed until now.
  6. Here's a stinker no one's mentioned: Event Horizon. This film attempted to outdo Alien as the scariest film in space. Unfortunately, it wasn't scary and it was riddled with lots of plot holes and a bullsh!t ending. Oh yeah, and it was directed by Paul W.S. Anderson. Go figure.
  7. I reviewed this movie last Christmas, and now I'm adding it to the thread, as it makes G-Saviour look like The Godfather Part I, and it's a potential threat to Battlefield Earth. Resiklo
  8. Like Bandai actually cares. Remember, they made toys for Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, and look where that went. I put an Aki Ross figure up on eBay with a starting bid of $0.01 and no one dared touch it.
  9. With the exception of Dances With Wolves, Costner does not belong on the director's chair. Waterworld was absolute crap, and I didn't bother with The Postman at all.
  10. But was Shark Attack 3: Megalodon presented in 3D? And this is The Asylum we're talking about - the company that made Transmorphers and other "Mockbusters" (blatant ripoffs of Hollywood blockbusters).
  11. Anyone willing to rent this (and risk their eyesight to its 3D effects) once it comes out? Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus (or "Debbie Gibson Gets Tentacle Raped") (Apparently, there have been reports of her home going into foreclosure, so it seems that she really needs the monty, as the failed Playboy stint wasn't enough to cover the bills.)
  12. Two years ago, The Asylum littered shelves of Blockbuster Video stores with their mockbuster Transmorphers in an attempt to capitalize on the popularity of Transformers. Now, they're at it again. Transmorphers: Fall of Man - Coming June 30 to a video store near you.
  13. Figure 17 - Tsubasa & Hikaru - Excellent sci-fi drama that takes place in Hokkaido, Japan. So far, aside from myself, I only know of just two other members here who have seen it.
  14. No. I think it's sad and horrifying that Akira Toriyama approved of this mess in the first place.
  15. Since Vimeo requires membership access, here's an alternate link to the movie preview footage: Latest Transformers 2 HD Preview Footage
  16. This week, Paul Walker announced on a radio talk show that the next Fast & Furious movie will be in Brazil - although Universal Pictures has yet to confirm this.
  17. The producers of every other Highlander film should've followed the first film's tag line: There Can Be Only One
  18. While Paul Walker and Vin Diesel rice up a PUMA, another challenger appears for Fast & Furious 5: Commuter Cars Tango (Approx. $100,000+) Brian: "Nice car. What's the retail price on that?" Driver: "More than you can afford, pal. Tango." Dom: "Smoke him." Meanwhile, in Japan, Han comes back from the dead to give Shawn his new drift machine. Toyota i-Swing Han: "The i-Swing's yours." Shawn: "What do you mean?" Han: "You're representing me now. What did you think, I'm gonna let you roll in a Hyundai?"
  19. Nah, they're gonna "trick out" some GM/Segway PUMAs with undercarriage lights, neon paint and 200-shot of NOS.
  20. Yes, sir - Fast & Furious 5 is in the works with both Paul Walker and Vin Diesel in it. According to an interview, Walker says the new film may take place somewhere in Europe. Vin Diesel also stated he's planning to make a sixth film.
  21. I take it you haven't seen Redline yet, then. Yes, it had lots of exotics to drool over, but the story sucked, the acting was flat and a Porsche Carrera GT was intentionally totaled for the film. Oh yeah, and Eddie Griffin wrecked an Enzo as a publicity stunt for the box-office bomb. I went to see Fast & Furious for a second time, and Agent ONE has a point. I took the movie too seriously and it's much more fun to watch than I had perceived. Tokyo Drift is still a better film, though.
  22. Yeah, where did they get that Ford? I was watching a documentary on British cars by Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson, which mentioned the RS200. That car's a very rare gem.
