  1. He's too skinny to play Thor, and he's not convincing enough to be Don Blake, his alter-ego. Maybe we should give this thread a subtitle: NO TRIPLE H = NO THOR MOVIE
  2. Wow...The Asylum has gone viral. The trailer for Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus has scored over a million hits on MTV.com and on YouTube this past week. But with all the hype it's generated, will it just fizzle like Snakes on a Plane? And since it hits video stores on Tuesday, who in here is willing to sacrifice their eyesight on it? Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus Trailer
  3. Thor doesn't require a lot of lines to memorize or any acting prowess. All HHH has to do on screen is throw his hammer around, which is a no-brainer for him. Hell, while we're at it, Marvel should hire Motörhead to do some theme music for the Thor movie.
  4. See, this is the only way a live-action Thor movie will work. After all, he's juiced-up, he's got long hair and he always carries a sledgehammer with him.
  5. I forgot all about this one... Tony Randel for Fist of the North Star
  6. Damn, DJ Loe Kee, do you need to quote all of Dante's pics just to post one question?
  7. Personally, I think this movie is gonna suck. I'll probably go see it for the Snake Eyes vs. Storm Shadow fight, then I'll leave to go watch something else.
  8. I don't know about you guys, but I was expecting to see a Wampa in the ice cave.
  9. Douglas Aarniokoski for Highlander: Endgame Don Bluth for Titan A.E. Tim Burton for Planet of the Apes Danny Cannon for Judge Dredd Jeremiah S. Chechik for The Avengers Rob Cohen for Stealth Chris Columbus for Bicentennial Man Brian De Palma for Mission to Mars Fred Dekker for RoboCop 3 Roland Emmerich for Godzilla, The Day After Tomorrow and 10,000 B.C. Baruc Godinez for Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within Anthony Hoffman for Red Planet David Hogan for Barb Wire Stephen Hopkins for Predator 2 and Lost in Space Mick Jackson for Volcano Irwin Kershner for RoboCop 2 (I don't care if he directed The Empire Strikes Back) Brett Leonard for Highlander: The Source and Virtuosity Andrew Morahan for Highlander III: The Final Dimension Rocky Morton and Annabel Jankel for Super Mario Bros. Hal Needham for MegaForce Chris Roberts for Wing Commander (I don't care if he created the franchise himself) M. Night Shyalaman for everything after The Sixth Sense Roger Spottiswoode for The 6th Day Lee Tamahori for xXx: State of the Union and Die Another Day The Wachowski Brothers for The Matrix sequels and Speed Racer Simon Wells for The Time Machine
  10. Looks like I spoke too soon. The Asylum has put info on their film back online.
  11. Doug Liman for Jumper. I think that's enough to convince everyone to maul him.
  12. Survey time. Now that the movie is out, how does it compare to the Star Trek films of the past? Rank them from Best to Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (as no Trek film can be possibly worse than that).
  13. I wish that were the case, but ADV's re-releasing it on July.
  14. Are they real glass or plastic? Man, I miss my Star Trek III glass I got from Taco Bell 25 years ago.
  15. Who else deserves a good mauling? Paul W.S. Anderson (Event Horizon, AVP: Alien vs. Predator) Andrzej Bartkowiak (Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li) Rob Bowman (Elektra) Jan de Bont (Speed 2: Cruise Control, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life) Steven E. de Souza (Street Fighter: The Movie) Gavin Hood (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) Kenneth Johnson (Steel) Wych Kaosayananda (Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever) Mark Steven Johnson (Daredevil, Ghost Rider) David Kellogg (Inspector Gadget, Cool as Ice) Brett Ratner (X-Men: The Last Stand) Joel Schumacher (Batman & Robin) Shim Hyung-rae (D-War) Barry Sonnenfeld (Wild Wild West) Kurt Wimmer (Ultraviolet) James Wong (Dragonball: Evolution) Corey Yuen (DOA: Dead or Alive) Mauling status pending: McG (Terminator Salvation, Charlie's Angels)
  16. The RX-8 motor is lighter, but there are many drawbacks to Wankel rotary engines. First, it generates roughly half as much torque as its horsepower output. Second, it gulps gas faster than a V8. Third, as Mazda is the only company producing parts for it, maintenance is more expensive than other cars. And fourth, its lifespan is shorter than a conventional engine. Because of at least two of these four reasons, many RX-7 owners have swapped their Wankels with Chevy LS1 (some have even used the newer LS2) V8 engines. As for the Mazdaspeed engine, I'd also like to know how it would handle on a RWD setup.
  17. Roger Christian for Battlefield Earth, Pitof for Catwoman and Kevin Costner for every movie he directed or co-directed.
  18. Since word of this movie came out, I really, really wanted to hate it. Instead, I was amazed at how it all came together. It blows away all of the Picard-era movies (except First Contact), along with I and III (never mind V, as it's already a given that it's worse than an average episode of Enterprise). But there's one thing that disappointed me a little: But then again, that would've been too predictable.
  19. Top Gear - Ford Fiesta Defeats Corvette in Shopping Mall
  20. Wow...here's something you don't see everyday on RT.com: an honest RT.fan. This conversation is focused on the major recall Toynami made on their MPC Maia Shadow Fighter:
  21. For those who don't want to endure the excruciating pain of watching the entire film, here's one scene that's somewhat tolerable.
