  1. Not worth it. He's just big chunks of plastic with horrid articulation, not to mention that the individual Constructicons don't transform into robots. Plus, he's one Constructicon short. It's a challenge deciding which is a bigger waste of money - this toy or Ultimate Bumblebee (Animated Supreme Rollout Command Optimus Prime has been ruled out due to stores slashing his price at 50%). If you want Devastator, get the Legends version instead.
  2. How about X-Men Origins: Wolverine? And Fast & Furious should also be on the list, as it defies physics - therefore being eligible as sci-fi.
  3. I'm disappointed - why aren't Dragonball Evolution and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li on the polls?
  4. Damn, seeing that LD player makes me feel old. And you're lucky to get a Macross Plus title on LD (probably the only format of the series I don't have).
  5. What does Namco-Bandai have to do with this thread?
  6. For one thing, it looks like VW is actually listening to Porsche enthusiasts. Otherwise, this is just great news. Volkswagen Board Votes to Ax Porsche Cayenne, Panamera
  7. Damn, he looks much better than the Deluxe version. I'm definitely picking him up.
  8. Wow...what's her problem? Megan Fox: Michael Bay's Like 'Napoleon' & 'Wants to Be Like Hitler'
  9. The thing about Dafoe is that he is a method actor, so he immerses himself in every role he plays. But perhaps one of the reasons why he didn't sign for the sequel is that he didn't want people to think he's really gay like his character Smecker in the first film.
  10. The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day, the much-anticipated sequel to the 1999 cult classic The Boondock Saints, hits theaters on October 30. Troy Duffy returns to the director's chair on this one, while Sean Patrick Flanery (The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles) and Norman Reedus (Detective Reilly in American Gangster) reprise their roles as Irish brothers Connor and Murray McManus, respectively. Also returning from the first film are Scottish comedian Billy Connolly as Noah "Il Duce" McManus, Bob Marley (the comedian, not the reggae singer) as Detective Greenly, David Ferry as Detective Dolly, Brian Mahoney as Detective Duffy and comedian David Della Rocco as "The Funny Man" Rocco (in a flashback scene, as he was killed in the first film). Willem Dafoe will not reprise his role as FBI Special Agent Paul Smecker due to various reasons. Joining the cast will be Julie Benz (Rita in Dexter, Sarah in Rambo) as FBI Agent Eunice Bloom, Clifton Collins, Jr. as Romeo, Peter Fonda (Wyatt in Easy Rider) as The Roman and Judd Nelson (Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime in Transformers: The Movie, John in The Breakfast Club) as Concezio Yakavetta. Apparently, a sub-plot of the film involves revenge, as the McManus Clan executed Mafia Don "Papa" Joe Yakavetta at the end of the first film. I don't know about you guys, but I definitely can't wait for this film. The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day Official Site
  11. I'm surprised ADV managed to run their manga division, despite losing a lot of key titles. Whatever ADV Manga had will probably be transferred to other companies such as Tokyopop or Yen Press.
  12. Yes, but the ADV moniker is gone. A lot of fans will associate certain titles with ADV, just like how many associated other titles with Pioneer/Geneon, US Renditions, Streamline Pictures and Central Park Media before those companies went under.
  13. (This was already discussed on the RIP Central Park Media thread, but I feel this deserves its own thread, given the hundreds of titles this particular company released over the past 17 years.) In case you just joined us, ADV Films, the once-mighty anime distributor in the U.S., has closed its doors. Read the following articles and discuss: ADV Films Shuts Down, Transfers Assets to Other Companies What's Happening with ADV Films
  14. That's because we have the Comic Book Super Thread for that.
  15. I had forgotten to mention Urban Vision on the active list, but I don't know if they're still active at all.
  16. Perhaps we should retitle this thread, as we're now talking about the fall of ADV Films.
  17. Let's see: AnimEigo Bandai Entertainment Funimation Entertainment Manga Entertainment Media Blasters Tokyopop Viz Media
  18. As the old saying goes: "The bigger they are, the harder they fall." Over the past decade, ADV was America's largest anime distributor, but being just that appeared to be its downfall. Now I wonder which company will be the next to fall...
  19. Actually, only the G8 name dies with Pontiac. The car will be rebadged next year as the Chevy Caprice (yeah, that kinda makes less sense than the current Impala).
  20. I know Agent ONE won't trade in his Elise for an upgrade, but this should be pretty tempting. Weighing in at just 1962 lbs., the Lotus Exige Cup 260 sports a stiffer suspension, lots of weight-saving materials and a supercharged 1.8 liter inline-4 that generates 257 bhp. All this results in an acceleration of 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in 4.1 seconds. 2010 Lotus Exige Cup 260
  21. On the contrary, the Japanese borrowed from everyone first. Nissan (known decades ago as Prince Motors) built local versions of Austins. Earlier Toyotas were based on Chrysler, Chevy and Volkswagen designs.
