And now for another WTF moment in automotive history. According to this article on Jalopnik.com, the Texas-based DeLorean Motor Company is considering the idea of using the now-discontinued Pontiac Solstice as the first car to carry the DeLorean badge in nearly three decades. If it happens, this will supposedly reopen the Wilmington, DE, plant and put hundreds of people back to work. The New DeLorean? -

You could probably buy the entire Toynami company for that amount of money. -

I wouldn't really say that, as the 442 is one of the most sought-after muscle cars. -

There are Pinto and Yugo clubs, right? Hell, this may come as a shock, but there are also Aztek clubs. So it wouldn't surprise me if the plastic Saturns have a following. -

Quite frankly, I see Saturns going the way of Daewoos in the U.S. - they'll cost less than a roll of Charmin. Hell, you could probably trade a Valiant comic (which also isn't worth a roll of Charmin) for a Saturn. The only exception would be the Sky, which would most likely be sought-after in the years to come. -
1308: "Dead Celebrities" - Ike is tormented by the ghosts of Billy Mays, Farrah Fawcett, David Carradine, Ed McMahon and other celebrities who died this year. After failed attempts by the reality show Ghost Hunters and that old lady from Poltergeist to ward off the dead spirits, the ghost of Michael Jackson takes over the body of Ike while the other dead celebrities wait impatiently on the flight known as Purgatory. In order to release Michael Jackson and hopefully send the other celebrities to Heaven, the kids must fulfill Jackson's lifelong dream of being a little white girl. I don't know about you guys, but is anyone here hungry for Chipotle?

And now, presenting Toyota's new RWD sports concept. A result of a joint venture between Toyota and Subaru, the FT-86 Concept is touted to be the true successor to the Sprinter (Corolla) AE86. Under the hood is a Subaru 2.0 boxer-4. Whether or not Toyota will green-light production of this car is to be seen. 2009 Toyota FT-86 Concept -

To celebrate the Ford Mustang's 45th anniversary, Lee Iacocca, creator of the iconic car, has unveiled his limited-edition Mustang. This one, designated as No. 5, is one of 45 to be built. It's equipped with a supercharged 550 bhp V8. The special bodywork is handcrafted to completely evoke the classic fastback look. All units will be painted in a special silver color, dubbed "Iacocca Silver." No. 5 will be on the auction block at the prestigious Barrett-Jackson Auction in Las Vegas, NV, while the other 44 units will be sold exclusively at Galpin Ford in North Hills, CA. 2009 Iacocca Silver 45th Anniversary Ford Mustang -

It's official: after failing to find any global automaker to supply them with cars, Penske Automotive has backed out of their deal to buy Saturn from GM. As a result, Saturn is dead. R.I.P. Saturn -

One time, while transforming Ironhide, the slot connecting the windshield/roof to the rest of the figure snapped off. I tried hobby glue to set it back together, but it didn't work. Then I went for super glue. Unfortunately, the newly-opened tube overflowed by itself. The windshield is fine, but the neck assembly is permanently set.

Better late than never, I guess. But given the recent controversy surrounding the MTV Video Music Awards, Comedy Central replayed the hell out of this episode. "Do you like fishsticks?" "Yes." "So you like putting fishsticks in your mouth?" "Yes." "What are you - a gay fish?" 1305: "Fishsticks" - Jimmy and Cartman come up with a joke about fishsticks, which brings the whole world laughing. Except Kanye West, who doesn't get the joke and finds himself offended by people calling him a gay fish. Compared to other episodes, this one is considerably weak and will probably die out in a few years (but not before Kanye's career). But after the recent incident at the MTV Awards, people around the world hate Kanye West more than ever, and they have embraced this episode with open arms. Kanye's personality as a clueless douchebag is flawlessly portrayed in this episode. And the jab on Carlos Mencia being a total hack is spot-on. As for whether or not Kanye is a gay fish, who knows? Maybe Trey and Matt are right about that. Here's an interesting note: Shortly after this episode first aired on April, Kanye was at a Cheesecake Factory in Chicago when he was served a plate of fishsticks without him knowing.

Well, I will definitely pick up both Bludgeon and Jungle Attack Ironhide, as my 2007 movie Ironhide is permanently stuck in robot mode due to a super glue mishap.

In retrospect, Darth Vader was a great movie bad guy, but in the end, he reverted to good. As a result, I prefer the Kurgan or Clarence Boddicker over Vader.

Yoshito Usui, creator of the popular manga/anime Crayon Shin-chan was declared missing early this month after he went out on a hiking trip and did not return home. Today, after discovering a body that fell 120 meters off a cliff, authorities have identified the body as that of Usui. Based on photographs stored in his camera, Usui may have accidentally fallen to his death. Futabasha announced that Usui submitted two more chapters of Crayon Shin-chan and the manga will continue its run until November. The fate of the anime, however, is unknown. Many condolences to his family and fans. R.I.P. Yoshito Usui (1958-2009)
