  1. Maybe it's because they're depicting a different pilot for the VF-11B. Same suit, different person.
  2. Damn, the VF-25 pilot is crappier than I thought. Do I have to dismantle stuff to get it out of the cockpit so I can repaint it?
  3. It was announced today that Nujabes (real name Jun Seba), the producer of Samurai Champloo's music, was killed in a car accident on February 26. R.I.P. Nujabes
  4. Just in case anyone's wondering, here's the original pic that Mike, a.k.a. anime52k8, stole and cropped without my permission. Way to go Mike!
  5. Yeah, and that team would wind up doing Astro Plan 9 from Outer Space toys. Or have they already?
  6. Nah, Sting looks better as The Crow. Also, Turner's mistake wasn't selling WCW to WWE; it was his failure to get proper management for it. He gave control to Eric Bischoff, who got carried away with Turner's money and brought in all of the WWF has-beens to take over the booking. When you give the wrestlers control of the show, their egos go off the scale. As a result, many wrestlers were mistreated by the main bookers (Hogan, Hall & Nash) and they jumped ship. Yes, the nWo was a great idea at the beginning, but once they started recruiting more members and splitting the faction into numerous divisions (i.e. nWo Team B, nWo Wolfpac), it got old very quickly. Another big mistake was hiring Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara, who had left the WWF in 1999. While they came up with the best storylines and angles in WWF, they destroyed WCW's reputation in record time. There have been many rumors that Vinnie Mac secretly sent Russo and Ferrara to sabotage WCW, but they were never proven. And by the time you would blame Billionaire Ted for WCW's downfall, he had already lost control of it, as his entire company, Turner Communications, was acquired by AOL Time Warner. And they didn't care at all. Once they saw that WCW lost over $20 million in 2000, they just asked Vinnie Mac to whip out his checkbook and write out $3 million (basically his lunch money). And yes, TNA is the new WCW. I'm afraid it will eventually suffer the same fate over time.
  7. Earlier this month, RVD made his debut on TNA by squashing Sting in 10 seconds. Then Sting spent the next 5 or so minutes of the segment making a piƱata out of him.
  8. The VF-25 doesn't just look small, it is small compared to the YF-19. Here's a set of pics I originally posted on the "Strike a Pose!" thread:
  9. Novitec Rosso has taken Ferrari's sexiest car in the modern era (and that's saying a lot, if you look at the rest of Ferrari's current lineup) and added a few more horses. An added supercharger gives the Ferrari California's 4.3 liter V8 a power boost from 460 bhp to 606 bhp, resulting in a 0-60 acceleration of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 202 mph. The performance package also includes custom wheels (21" front and 22" rear) and a subtle-looking body kit. 2010 Novitec Rosso Ferrari California Supercharged
  10. Wow - huge difference, indeed. The 1/250 is just begging to be panel-lined, though.
  11. Really nice collection there, Daiohma. Just wondering, how is the YF-19 here compared to Yamato's 1/200 VFC version?
  12. Knowing that the Fire Valk is bulkier than the YF-19, I'm sure Yamato will pull off more tricks in their 1/60 version than we expect. I actually could care less about the Fire Valk (as Basara is one of my least favorite characters in the entire Macross universe), but I'm really hoping for this model to influence Yamato to make the VF-19S Blazer Valk and the VF-19P.
  13. Some people are just desperate for cash, like the ex-drummer of Guns N' Roses: Have Lunch with Steven Adler for $7,500 - Proceeds will go to his rehab charity
  14. Porsche's latest concept is a hybrid supercar called the 918. Its mid-mounted V8 generates 500bhp, while its electric motor does 218 bhp. And with a curb weight of under 3,300 lbs., it goes from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and can reach a top speed of 198 mph. 2010 Porsche 918 Spyder Concept
  15. Any updates on the toys? Has anyone ordered theirs from KOTOYS yet? BTW, KOTOYS separated the Valkyrie knockoffs from the regular toys. If you still want them (perhaps for kitbashing purposes), here's the link: http://kotoys.com/kotoys.php?cat=AstroplanKO
  16. How come no one's released an Ai-kun plush doll?

  18. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has done what no one really thought would happen: win big at the Golden Raspberry Awards. Held annually opposite of the Academy Awards, the "Razzies" are presented to the worst of the film industry. ROTF won Worst Picture, Worst Director (Michael Bay, of course) and Worst Screenplay (Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Ehren Kruger). It beat G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra in these categories, surprisingly. The film, however, failed to win Worst Actress (Megan Fox, but won by Sandra Bullock for All About Steve), Worst Supporting Actress (Julie White, but won by Sienna Miller for G.I. Joe), Worst On-Screen Couple (Shia LaBeouf & Megan Fox or any Transformer, but won by Sandra Bullock & Bradley Cooper for All About Steve) and Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off or Sequel (won by Land of the Lost).
  19. Optimus Prime and Bumblebee's Character Models to Undergo Minor Visual Changes for Transformers 3 - Bumblebee is said to look more mature while Prime will look more heroic. Whatever that means. But one thing's for sure: new TF toy designs to churn out. Now how would Hasbro outdo the ROTF Leader Prime figure?
  20. Latest casting developments: - Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox will reprise their roles as Sam and Mikaela, respectively. Tyrese Gibson will also return as Sgt. Epps. - Kevin Dunn is in negotiations to reprise his role as Ron Witwicky. - Ray Park (Darth Maul in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Snake Eyes in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) will star as a N.E.S.T. agent. - This film is nothing without Peter Cullen, so having him return as Optimus Prime is a given. - Tony Todd returns...as The Fallen? Hey, Megatron came back from the dead on the last film, so why not? - James Avery (Phillip Banks in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) will be the voice of Silverbolt. - DreamWorks and Paramount are holding auditions for people to play Iranian soldiers.
  21. Just added to my collection: Yamato 1/200 Variable Fighter Collection Vol. 1 VA-3M Invader Fighter 1/200 Variable Fighter Collection Vol. 1 VA-3M Invader Gerwalk 1/200 Variable Fighter Collection Vol. 1 VA-3M Invader Battroid 1/200 Variable Fighter Collection Vol. 1 YF-19 Gerwalk 1/200 Variable Fighter Collection Vol. 1 YF-19 Battroid
  22. Not that it matters anymore, but who in here is watching WrestleMania 26?
  23. Ah, but you forget the VF-25F's Achilles' Heel: the peg joints on the legs that render Gerwalk mode useless. And there have been complaints from people here that the left shoulder of the Fire Valk pops off.
  24. Where's the fun in not having a problem transforming your Valks? Here's my experience with transforming my Valkyries: 1/72 YF-19 Broke "Tab B" after the second time transforming it. Thank goodness for the nail file fix Graham posted back then. 1/48 VF-1S Strike Valkyrie A real PITA transforming it with the FAST Pack on. Always remember to remove the missile pods before transforming, for when they fall on the floor, missiles will scatter all over the place. 1/60 YF-19 Using magnets to connect the FAST Pack leg armor is a great idea; unfortunately, the ones in the YF-19 are very, very weak. 1/60 VF-25S Armored Messiah Ozma Custom In only two transformations, the left hinge holding the backpack to the rest of the plane snapped off. Fortunately, this was remedied with super glue. Also, there are two cracked hinges behind the chest. As for the Armor Pack, I tried it on Gerwalk mode and probably won't do it again. And fighter mode wastes a lot of parts (i.e. crotch armor, forearm armor, inner leg armor clips if you wish to mount the Gun Pod).
