Meh. What cap needs is a motorcycle like this guy: Captain America (1978)

Yup, they should've gotten Triple-H to play Thor.

Here are other examples of Idi Amin's ruthlessness. These scenes from an old movie called Amin: The Rise and Fall, starring Joseph Olita. Yes, Olita's acting is laughable, but he does look the part. Still, Forest Whitaker did a more convincing performance as Amin.

Yeah, that too. And the Type-Yi fighters should be called "Neo-Veritech" fighters. While we're at it, we need to come up with western names for all the characters.

A couple of months ago, I had some SMS and Skull Leader vinyl stickers made for my car. Yes, it's not a Lancia Delta Integrale 16v, but since my Hyundai Getz is silver, it will have to do. If anyone is interested in getting their own SMS or Skull Leader stickers, let me know. I might be able to secure a deal with the local sticker shop.

True, but remember that while Star Wars became the almighty sci-fi epic that it is, it ripped off Akira Kurosawa's The Hidden Fortress and numerous other titles in the process. And don't get me started with Avatar.

Actually, George Lucas ripped off the opening crawl from the old 1930s Flash Gordon serials. Just about every other sci-fi film released after Star Wars did the same.

I was actually working on a parody fansub of the first episode, but due to time constraints, the project was shelved. Here's part of the script: - - But otherwise, count me in on the fandub production. Here are some ideas: - The opening narration should contain a shameless plug promoting the toys. After all, that's what the series is - a 30-minute toy commercial. - We should get a good Mel Brooks impersonator to do the voice of the priest, and make the character a Rabbi in the fandub.

Yeah, but it doesn't beat the deal Jeremy Clarkson scored on Top Gear's first Cheap Car Challenge. He got an old Volvo 760 for £1 (otherwise, the dealer would've paid £150 to have it recycled). -
Come to think of it, the YF-11 Type Yi Fighter and the VF-11 Thunderbolt may actually be related to each other. Here's why: - The VF-11 Thunderbolt is designed after the Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker. - The YF-11 Type Yi Fighter is designed after the Shenyang J-11, which is the Chinese version of the Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker.

Wow, you're a bit late on the discussion, Protoculture. All of those have been discussed already. Go back a couple of pages for the toy pics.

It seems that car brands named after planets have no luck at all. GM has already axed Saturn, and now, it's Ford's turn. Not that anyone cares, anyway. Ford to Discontinue Mercury -
It's just a marketing ploy by Bandai to promote the release of the first volume of the OVA. Even the HG kits got the royal treatment, as newer releases come with a special Action Base shaped like the RX-0's head.

I just watched the first episode of Gundam Unicorn (which surprisingly has a very good English dub) and I want to get started with an RX-0 Unicorn kit. Normally, I'd get the HG kit, but I'm convinced that I should go MG. Is the HD version with MS Cage worth it compared to the regular and ver. Ka. kits?

so..I want to get into Gundam...where to start?
areaseven replied to pondo's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The first Gundam anime I watched was Char's Counterattack. At the same time, I collected the Gundam 0083 film comics by Viz before picking up the untranslated anime. In terms of importance, here's how I rank all of them: Watch It Mobile Suit Gundam: The Movie Trilogy Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam (series) Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team - Miller's Report Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn The original Gundam movie trilogy is ranked higher than the TV series, as it does away with lame mobile suits/armor (i.e. Zakrello, G-Fighter) and just about everything Yoshiyuki Tomino hated about the series. Hit or Miss Mobile Suit Gundam (series) Mobile Suit Gundam F91 Mobile Suit Victory Gundam Gundam Evolve Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: A New Translation I wanted to like the Zeta Gundam movies, but they failed due to the plot loopholes caused by the severe editing and the constant clashing of old and new animation. For some reason, I could never get into Victory Gundam. And Gundam Evolve is more of just a mixed bag. Skip It Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Last Blitz of Zeon G-Saviour The Gundam 0083 movie has quite possibly the worst editing for a Gundam compilation. Hopefully, G-Saviour will be the last attempt at a live-action Gundam. As far as the Alternate Universe titles go, here's how I rank them: Alternate Gundam Universes 1. Mobile Suit Gundam 00 2. Turn-A Gundam 3. After War Gundam X 4. Mobile Suit Gundam SEED / SEED Destiny 5. New Mobile War Chronicle Gundam Wing / Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz 6. Mobile Fighter G-Gundam 7. SD Gundam Force The final fight between Setsuna F. Seiei and Ribbons Allmark sealed the deal for me. -

Actually, the bootleg Merrell shoes were already like that when I picked them up. I needed some new rubber shoes and I originally planned to get a black/gray pair when I spotted these. BTW, the shoes cost me $10.

Rather old news, but a couple of months ago, DragonForce parted ways with lead vocalist ZP Theart. Now they're holding auditions for a new frontman. Would-be applicants are to go to DragonForce.com/audition and download a sample audio track. Then, they should film themselves singing the song and post the video on YouTube. Yes, we've seen this before. Two years ago, Arnel Pineda became Journey's new lead vocalist after guitarist Neal Schon saw a video of Pineda doing Journey songs with his cover band. Boston fan Tommy DeCarlo posted videos of himself singing the band's songs on MySpace before founder Tom Scholz recruited him for an upcoming tour. All I have to say to DragonForce is... good luck.
