  1. Damn, it's about time movie Jazz got a proper figure. Human Alliance Jazz
  2. Over the weekend, I picked up Battle Blades Optimus Prime. For a Voyager Class figure, he's tiny - just a hair taller than Deluxe Class figures. Also, he's considerably skinny. Still, this is a remarkably awesome figure. He has nearly the same amount of detail and articulation as the Leader Class movie Prime 2.0, but with features that the larger figure should've had (i.e. retractable hands, more adjustable shoulder armor plates). Also, the Matrix of Leadership is a nice touch to the figure. The downsides are a skimpy paint application and more kibble than the Leader Class figure. While this one actually has the tool boxes painted silver, he's missing flames on the chest and inner leg panels, and the rear end is in plain red and black plastic with no silver paint apps. The rear end does not fold much in robot mode and becomes a large piece of kibble on the back. Nevertheless, it's a far cry from the front-end/backpack kibble that prevented me from buying Voyager 1.0 (a.k.a. Robo-Vision Prime, First Strike Prime, etc.). Also, while having two guns is a nice touch, they interfere with the back assembly when not in use. Now, I don't have a Buster Prime for reference, but I think Hasbro should've learned from that figure's technique. Anyway, if you haven't picked up this figure, you should - provided you have a good set of paints to keep you busy.
  3. I was thinking the main bad guy should have an alien-sounding name like M'keeva.
  4. Hey, it could be worse. Maybe in the middle of the film, Laurence Fishburne will ask all the human characters if they will take the blue pill or the red pill.
  5. Next thing you know, HG's gonna tell people that Carl Macek's tears can cure cancer, but he never cried. Or that a cobra once bit Carl Macek and after five days of excruciating pain, the cobra died.
  6. TSC is only available on bootleg DVD, like every anime title out there. As far as those Jollibee toys go, I would care less if they sold out or not; HG would still go out and claim that RT is #1 in the Philippines, when their fanbase here is almost non-existent. Hobby shops like GreatToysOnline.com still have MPCs and Toynami's Macross toys collecting dust on the shelves. BTW, for those who just stepped in, RT broadcasting in the Philippines started with Southern Cross, as the original Macross (with a local English dub) aired years earlier. Also, Macross was supposedly brought into the Philippines by HG as a test market.
  7. Where's kresphy when we need him? We need a translation of this video clip, as it has full details on the not-Valkyries.
  8. Why don't you go open a TFW2005 account, you lazy bum?
  9. Yeah, more work for me than with the '07 version. One little detail I forgot to mention was that each door consists of two pieces instead of a single clear blue piece that's painted yellow. This means you have the option of removing the windows, which could be either a plus or minus on car mode.
  10. Yes, everything is new from the ground up on Battle Blade Bumblebee, though it does retain the leg Automorph gimmick. For a more detailed look at the figure, here's a review by peaugh:
  11. Behold - The greatest shredder that has ever lived!
  12. But have you seen a man eat his own head? Then you haven't seen everything!
  13. I got the new Deluxe Battle Blade Bumblebee over the weekend and I'm in the middle of doing some touch-ups on it. As you can see on this pic, there's a very huge difference between it and the ver. 1.0 it replaces.
  14. Another reason to hate Hasbro: Canceled Transformers Animated Triple-Changer Megatron Resin Prototype
  15. Why force us to see the pic if you don't like it? Unless you're actually getting off on it... Wanzer Wanzerfan He had to be a Wanzerfan Wanzer Wanzerfan Don't ever be a Wanzer...
  16. Out of the ashes of the now-bankrupt Midway Games comes a new hope for all Mortal Kombat fans. Developed by NetherRealm Studios (formerly Midway) under the supervision of the game's co-creator Ed Boon, the new MK returns to its 2D fighting roots, dropping the 3D sidestepping of the past games. Players who love doing combo chains will love two of the game's new features: Tag Team and X-Ray. Tag Team appears to be more or less like the Marvel vs. Capcom series. X-Ray mode enables players to see exactly how much damage they do to their opponents with combos that inflict over 40% damage. Already confirmed to appear in the game as playable characters are Raiden, Johnny Cage, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Kung Lao, Mileena, Nightwolf, Reptile, Sektor and Shang Tsung. Shao Kahn appears in the the trailer, but it is unknown if he is a playable character. Boon says he's aiming to have a total of 26 playable characters in the roster. Mortal Kombat is set for release in Spring 2011 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
  17. I was curious about Hasbro's upcoming TF Stealth Force line, so I did a search on YouTube. Some people over on TFW2005 say the line is reminiscent of M.A.S.K., but I beg to differ. Am I the only one who sees the similarities between this... TF Stealth Force Optimus Prime ...and this? (LJN, mid-1980s)
  18. Since the first death anniversary of Michael Jackson was a couple of days ago, here's a little piece of nostalgia dedicated in his memory: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXDgTo9Nsio
  19. Just wondering, several years ago, there was a rumor that HG signed with Mattel to churn out new RT toys (and this was only a couple or so years after Toynami was founded). Whatever happened beyond that rumor? I just did a search, and all I could find were news articles on Mattel signing a video game distribution deal with HG back in 2000.
  20. I went to my local hobby shop and they have the Chogokin Kahen Senshi Zeta Gundam toy. Just wondering, is it any good? For some reason, the matte finish makes it look cheap.
