  1. In terms of genres, yes. But overall, it's Emmerich's second-worst film on Rotten Tomatoes and worst on Metacritic. Here's the current ranking of his films: Rotten Tomatoes 1. The Patriot (62%) 2. Independence Day (60%) 3. White House Down (50%) 4. Stargate (48%) 5. Anonymous (46%) 6. The Day After Tomorrow (45%) 7. 2012 (39%) 8. Independence Day: Resurgence (34%) 9. Universal Soldier (20%) 10. Godzilla (16%) 11. Stonewall (9%) 12. 10,000 B.C. (8%) --. Moon 44 (no rating) Metacritic 1. The Patriot (63) 2. Independence Day (59) 3. White House Down (52) 4. Anonymous (50) 5. 2012 (49) 6. The Day After Tomorrow (47) 7. Stargate (42) 8. Universal Soldier (35) 9. 10,000 B.C. (34) 10. Godzilla (32) (tie) 10. Independence Day: Resurgence (32) (tie) 12. 2. The no-compete clause is mandatory on all WWE talent contracts. And you can blame Jeff Jarrett for that.
  3. New Gunpla revealed for the next Build Fighters installment: A new variant of the Beargguy III, a souped-up 00 Qan[T], and a new Back Weapon System. Gundam Build Fighters New Model Kits
  4. It's Independence Day week, so let's focus on director Roland Emmerich. Of all his films, which is his worst? Moon 44 (1990) Universal Soldier (1992) Stargate (1994) Independence Day (1996) Godzilla (1998) The Patriot (2000) The Day After Tomorrow (2004) 10,000 B.C. (2008) 2012 (2009) Anonymous (2011) White House Down (2013) Stonewall (2015) Independence Day: Resurgence (2016)
  5. Just finished watching this film today. If you hated the first film, then skip this one altogether. If you loved the first one, you'll probably like this too. Independence Day: Resurgence boasts more destruction and carnage than its predecessor, but aside from that, it's more of the same. Lots of plot points are recycled from the first film, but at the same time, it adds a dozen or so other subplots in an attempt to make the supporting cast more relevant. It's great to see Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Judd Hirsch, and Vivica A. Fox return, but As for the new cast, the film doesn't do much to make you care about them; which brings us to one of the main problems of this film. Even though it runs at 120 minutes, it feels severely fast-paced. Explosions happen much too quickly and you're not given enough time to digest the numerous subplots thrown at you, such as... Furthermore... And just like Transformers: Age of Extinction, Independence Day: Resurgence... Despite its flaws, Independence Day: Resurgence is a decent popcorn flick. It's Roland Emmerich's way of apologizing for Godzilla (1998), The Day After Tomorrow, 10,000 B.C., 2012, and White House Down. Okay, maybe not 10,000 B.C., as that's completely unforgivable.
  6. I don't know if the WWE is up to rehiring Jeff Hardy, given his numerous drug problems over the past decade. Hell, I'm surprised TNA still has him after his disastrous match with Sting a few years back. Yes, TNA is beyond desperate, but CM Punk has made it clear that he's done with wrestling. And if money were an object, WWE would get to him first, as whatever TNA offers him is less than Vinnie Mac's lunch money.
  7. TNA is beyond desperate. They're on a cable network no one watches (PopTV) and now they're threatened by SmackDown's move to Tuesday. They made that promo video because they still think the Hardy Boyz still have enough star power to draw buyrates.

"C" "0.5 and 1 out of 5 Schmoes" "D+" "Best Movie Ever" Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 34% - "It's undeniably visually impressive, but like its predecessor, Independence Day: Resurgence lacks enough emotional heft to support its end-of-the-world narrative stakes." Metacritic Score: 32 out of 100
  10. That shouldn't stop them. After all, four decades ago, Apple Corps., The Beatles' record label, sued Apple Computers for trademark infringement. The case was settled, provided that Apple Computers stayed away from the music industry. Then Steve Jobs introduced the iPod... Also, the World Wildlife Fund sued the World Wrestling Federation over the WWF initials. After nearly a decade of legal battles, the pandas won and the wrestling promotion was forced to change their name to World Wrestling Entertainment, or WWE.
