The Transformers 3 Thread--A Michael Bay Thread

Voyager Class Optimus Prime - Why couldn't they just stick with the Hunt for the Decepticons version? Deluxe Class Starscream, Dread and Buggy - I don't understand all the hate on this new Starscream. Doesn't anyone remember the Voyager figure from the first movie? -
My niece owns a Spectre. Come to think of it, after trying both Recon and Spectre stocks on my Barricade a few weeks back, I noticed that the Spectre one is more wobbly. Shouldn't matter to me, as I'll be using my Barricades just for straightforward attacks. I'll have the Recon on the side, just in case. Also, I watched a recent video review of the Super Soaker Shot Blast, and it seems like its stock is as sturdy as the Raider's.
-
Ah, good point. It seems that the Recon stock is only good for holding an extra CS magazine and just matching every other yellow blaster. And the Spectre stock is probably worse with its folding mechanism.
-
On the subject of stocks, you mention that the one that comes with the Raider enhances accuracy, but what about the one that comes with the Recon?

Here's a question: Is the Raider CS-35 worth getting, especially since the Alpha Trooper CS-18 does the exact same thing in a smaller package and at a lower price?

Time for a little blast from the past. This is Phantom Blue, an all-female metal band that was active in the late-1980s and early 1990s.

Next time you reply to a post, don't go quoting every single image on it! It's very frustrating for others to have to scroll through the same 10 or so images just to read your reply. -
Obviously, someone here doesn't know what not to do when replying to a post.

Meh. Any Flash Gordon movie without Queen music is blasphemy.

The Barricade is the best weapon for dual-wielding due to its semi-automatic action. However, it's the worst weapon for stealth missions, as it's as stealthy as a vacuum cleaner. Here's the official overview video, which unfortunately has the motor muted out. Just how loud is it? Here's a demo video of it.

Here's an official overview video of the Stampede ECS.

I personally believe that "it's Nerf or nothin'", especially since Buzz Bee Toys Air Blasters are hideously fugly and look like they'll fall apart off the shelf. But has anyone tested these Toys "R" Us-branded blasters? Air Zone Power Strike 48 - It uses the dual flywheel mechanism as the Barricade, but at the size of the Stampede with a maximum of 48 darts. Take note that it is not fully-automatic, as you still have to pump the handle to move the darts into the flywheels. Air Zone Punisher Gatling - Supposedly TRU's answer to the Vulcan, but with a capacity of five more darts and a firing distance of five feet longer. No available tripod, though.
-
Here's an unofficial video on how to load the Vulcan. Hope this helps. And despite its shortcomings, I'd pick the Vulcan over the POS Deploy CS-6. My brother almost bought one, but upon demoing it at the store, it just jammed without any darts loaded. Also, the transforming flashlight gimmick is pretty useless. He went with the Alpha Trooper CS-18 instead.

Here are a couple of cheap Photoshop posters I made during my free time. Even grown-ups do Nerf, especially in the office.

Vulcan is cheaper in most places (here in Manila, it's roughly US$20 less than the Stampede), but while it looks menacing, it's hindered by its girth and the need to reload the belt every time. At least with the Stampede, you get four magazines and 60 darts, which gives you only a second or two to reload.

Most Nerf owners prefer the Longshot, as it has more features and is apparently more accurate than the Longstrike. Too bad it's hard to come by these days. And a lot of people have said the Longstrike shoots further without the barrel attachment on. I like the Recon, but whoever designed it should have thought of the cocking slide before placing the tactical rail on it. As a result, the only proper placement of a tactical sight or scope is way out front on the barrel attachment. As for the Stampede, I wouldn't worry about stocking up on batteries. I like how the bipod can mount on the side tactical rail. With some repainting, the Stampede would be a perfect beam rifle for Gundam cosplay.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End needs to be remade, or at least done properly. There have been rumors that the script was done after filming, and it really showed on the final product. All the suspense built up on Dead Man's Chest fizzled out on this, with the Kraken being killed off-screen, Norrington just dying in the middle of the film without any character resolution between him and Jack, and a lack of showdown between all the pirates of the world and the East India Trading fleet.

Since we're talking about remakes, here's a comparison between one movie and its remake. Anthony Zimmer StudioCanal, 2005 Written and Directed by Jérôme Salle Starring: Sophie Marceau (Princess Isabelle in Braveheart, Electra King in The World Is Not Enough) as Chiara, Yvan Attal (George in Rush Hour 3) as François Taillandier Wanted by authorities worldwide, money launderer Anthony Zimmer goes in hiding and has surgery done to alter his face and voice. He tells his lover Chiara to board a train and pick up any man to trick the police into thinking he's Zimmer. She befriends a loner named François, who now becomes a target of a syndicate that Zimmer stole money from. The Tourist Spyglass Entertainment/GK Films/Columbia Pictures, 2010 Directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck Starring: Johnny Depp (Glen in A Nightmare on Elm Street, Gator Lerner in Platoon) as Frank Tupelo, Angelina Jolie (Cash in Cyborg 2, Acid Burn in Hackers) as Elise Clifton-Ward, Paul Bettany (Jarvis in Iron Man 1-2, Silas in The Da Vinci Code) as Inspector John Acheson, Timothy Dalton (James Bond 007 in The Living Daylights and License to Kill) as Chief Inspector Jones This movie takes all the suspense and mystery of Anthony Zimmer and throws them all out the window; in place are mindless action scenes, overblown settings and props, an incoherent plot and Angelina Jolie. Seriously, why would anyone pick her over Sophie Marceau? Jolie ruins the character with her bland acting and completely fake looks. Johnny Depp does as much as possible to make the film interesting, but even the greatest actors can't make a bad script work. In short, The Tourist is a perfect example of how not to remake a good French movie. Even worse than Point of No Return (a.k.a. The Assassin) being a cover of La Femme Nikita.

Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz try their luck on the Top Gear test track. At least it's better than their snore-fest Knight and Day. -
