Worst Science Fiction Film of All Time
areaseven replied to JELEINEN's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
The winners of the 31st Golden Raspberry Awards have been announced. They are highlighted in red italic. This comes as somewhat of a shocker, as Jonah Hex went home empty-handed and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse won just one award (mainly because Jackson Rathbone also starred in The Last Airbender, this year's big winner). And Sex and the City 2 must have been so bad, it beat The Last Airbender on a few categories. Worst Picture The Bounty Hunter The Last Airbender Sex and the City 2 The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Vampires Suck Worst Actor Jack Black (Gulliver's Travels) Gerard Butler (The Bounty Hunter) Ashton Kutcher (Killers and Valentine's Day) Taylor Lautner (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Valentine's Day) Robert Pattinson (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Remember Me) Worst Actress Jennifer Aniston (The Bounty Hunter) Miley Cyrus (The Last Song) The four "gal pals" in Sex and the City 2 Megan Fox (Jonah Hex) Kristen Stewart (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) Worst Supporting Actor Billy Ray Cyrus (The Spy Next Door) George Lopez (Marmaduke, The Spy Next Door and Valentine's Day) Dev Patel (The Last Airbender) Jackson Rathbone (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and The Last Airbender) Rob Schneider (Grown Ups) Worst Supporting Actress Jessica Alba (The Killer Inside Me, Little Fockers, Machete and Valentine's Day) Cher (Burlesque) Liza Minnelli (Sex and the City 2) Nicola Peltz (The Last Airbender) Barbra Streisand (Little Fockers) Worst Director Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer (Vampires Suck) Michael Patrick King (Sex and the City 2) M. Thanks. I use a Casio Exilim EX-Z9 8.0 megapixel. Quite frankly, it's a love/hate camera. The video quality is excellent for its size, but it sucks on doing macro shots.

I don't see HG having any problem with that. Probably would take them 10 seconds to seal the deal, if you ask me.

Robotech has already become an insult to the anime fandom, so what difference does it make?

Why not simply take Astro Plan 9 from Outer Space and make it the new RT? There - problem solved.

Transformers 4? - Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner wants the film franchise to continue after DOTM, even if Bay says DOTM is the last. -
I hope those model kits don't fall apart like the disastrous Trans-Scanning figures from the first movie.

The movie came out last week, but lost to Unknown at the box office. And so far, the critics don't like it. Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 32%

I plan to buy an Alpha Trooper soon just for that. Besides, the bipod doesn't work with the stock 18-round magazine on. Also, the bottom rail doesn't work properly with any accessory other than the bipod, and the top front rail has nothing for it aside from the shield (which I probably will never use). The tactical laser sight does not lock in place with the long magazine attached, so the only other rails that work with it are the top handle (which is being used by the tactical scope right now) and the sides.

Woohoo! Just added the Stampede ECS to my arsenal for my birthday. So my current arsenal is as follows: Stampede ECS Barricade RV-10 (x2) Barrel Break IX-2 Secret Strike AS-1 with Sleeve Gun attachment (WIP) Tactical Scope & Tactical Light (taken from the Element EX-6 gift set)

Now this is beyond excellent news: according to this blog, Ryuji Sainei and Ayumi Kinoshita will reprise their roles as Banban Akaza/Deka Red and Jasmine/Deka Yellow, respectively, in episode 5. SPD Chief Doggie Kruger/Deka Master (voiced by Tetsu Inada) will also make an appearance as well. And for those unfamiliar, Ayumi Kinoshita is one of the main reasons to watch Dekaranger.

The IPCRESS File The Rank Organisation, 1965 Directed by Sidney J. Furie (Iron Eagle, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace) Based on the novel by Len Deighton Running Time: 109 minutes Rated PG for violence and mild language. Cast Michael Caine (Charlie in The Italian Job, Lt. Vandeleur in A Bridge Too Far) as Harry Palmer Guy Doleman (1923-1996) (Count Lippe in Thunderball) as Col. Ross Nigel Green (1924-1972) (Hercules in Jason and the Argonauts) as Maj. Dalby Sue Lloyd as Jean Courtney Gordon Jackson (1923-1990) (Cowley in The Professionals) as Carswell Aubrey Richards as Dr. Radcliffe Synopsis British agent Harry Palmer is assigned to investigate the disappearance of a top scientist, which is believed to be linked to similar incidents where scientists are abducted and recovered, but with their minds wiped clean. After raiding a suspected hideout, Harry discovers a piece of audio tape labeled "IPCRESS", which is later on revealed to be a part of a mental experiment called "Induction of Psycho-neuroses by Conditioned Reflex under Stress." It is not long before agents working with him are systematically killed when the clues begin to unravel, and Harry himself becomes the subject of the perpetrator's experiment. Lowdown Spy thrillers - people love them for the sheer amounts of suspense and mystery around them. And for the past five decades, the general public has related the spy thriller genre with the James Bond 007 film series. But there's just one problem: even though Bond films are highly enjoyable, they're extremely overblown with flashy gadgets, impossible stunts and MI6's obviously implausible budget. And then we have The IPCRESS File - the antithesis of the James Bond films, presented by long-time James Bond 007 producer Harry Saltzman (1915-1994). The film does away with the James Bond nonsense - no gadgets, no exotic vacation spots, no terrorist organizations bent on world domination. Instead, we have Michael Caine as Harry Palmer: a man struggling to make ends meet with what seems to be minimum wage in the Ministry of Defence. And unlike most Bond films, The IPCRESS File is heavily story-driven, with excellent performances by Caine and the rest of the cast in depicting a heavily realistic spy agency environment. http://www.youtube.c...h?v=XsSDjcfC3oM The soundtrack by the late John Barry (1933-2011) is significantly less flamboyant than his James Bond 007 works, but is very effective in adding depth to every scene in this film - from the opening sequence where Harry wakes up to make himself coffee to the film's climactic ending. The sample clip above sends chills every time. In a recent interview for the upcoming Disney/Pixar film Cars 2, Caine mentioned that he based his Finn McMissile voice on Harry Palmer. This would prove very interesting. In the meantime, go rent or buy The IPCRESS File on DVD. It's practically what a spy thriller film should look like. Rating: A+ References The Internet Movie Database Wikipedia

Bystanders have also been killed on-screen in Timeranger and Dekaranger, so I somewhat got used to that. Yes, the show's classification as a children's show is very questionable, but I think it's trying to give kids a more realistic approach to an alien attack. Besides, kids know that not every innocent bystander is gonna get out of an attack alive. EDIT: I just picked up a bootleg DVD set of Choudenshi Bioman (1984), and Gokaiger's violence level is absolutely nothing compared to this. In the first episode alone, blood splatters when bystanders are shot by mecha clones.
