    The entire series never got a DVD release, but I did see one that had a couple or so episodes (Escape from the Garden of Evil) at Rite-Aid for under $5. EDIT: Shout! Factory released the first 33 episodes in 2008, but plans to release the last 32 episodes were canceled. However, all 65 episodes are available on iTunes.

    A tradition in the Super Sentai series is the hand-off segment, where the previous series passes the torch to the next series. This began with the transition from Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger to Mahou Sentai Magiranger in 2005.

    Battle Blade Bumblebee was the best Deluxe incarnation of the movie character. The DOTM version is a complete screw-up of that figure, as seen in peaugh's latest review.

    I saw some old M.A.S.K. toys at one of the hobby shops near my place. The Thunderhawk is going for roughly US$35 loose. Didn't pay attention to the other vehicles (other than a white van that opens up to reveal another vehicle).

    One of the most beloved animated series of the '80s will finally get a DVD release. According to the link below, Shout! Factory has acquired the Region 1 DVD rights to all 75 episodes of M.A.S.K. Now if only Hasbro reissued the classic Kenner toys... DVD Plans for M.A.S.K.

    The popular manhwa by Hyung Min-woo gets the live-action treatment this May. Priest is directed by Scott Stewart (Legion) and stars Paul Bettany (Jarvis in Iron Man 1-2, Michael in Legion) as Priest, Cam Gigandet (James in Twilight, Ryan in Never Back Down) as Hicks, Maggie Q (Mai Linh in Live Free or Die Hard, Mai Shiranui in The King of Failures) as Priestess, and Karl Urban (McCoy in Star Trek, Éomer in The Lord of the Rings) as Black Hat.     Goddamn, the Quick 16 is a porker compared to the Alpha Trooper CS-18 and Raider CS-35. Even worse is that N-Strike stocks will not work on it.

    No dog, but it's still a train wreck. I read a little about Zaido, and apparently, the producers wanted it to be a direct sequel to Uchuu Keiji Shaider. Toei, fortunately, said no, but agreed to have it as a distant spin-off. Even the Filipino audiences who grew up watching Shaider (mostly for Naomi Morinaga) hated it. Still, both of these shows are better than Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills.

    Late last year, Hasbro sparked controversy when they announced the name of an upcoming Power Core Combiners figure. The PCC Stunticons set was named "Spastic". In the UK and Australia, the general public was outraged, as the word "spastic" is a derogatory term for people with disabilities. As a result, Hasbro change the figure's name to "Over-Run". However... Nice going, Hasbro.
