  1. New BMWs get uglier than ever, even after Chris Bangle retired from the design team. (Click at your own risk!)
  2. Hasbro just announced that on 11 April, the new Nerf Vortex line will be revealed on the official Nerf Facebook page. The actual blasters and gear are set for release on 9.10.11. Official First Reveal of the Nerf Vortex Lineup
  3. Is that a VF-25? Raheem Devaughn - "BOB"

  5. Well, wire-fu has been used in various Super Sentai shows long before Power Rangers. Just watch the opening sequence of Kagaku Sentai Dynaman (1983). Also, most the original Dekaranger fight scenes were very wire-fuey to begin with. Look how Ban/Deka Red does his downward shootout in episode 1. Sakamoto has been doing Gokaiger stunt coordination more frequently because he no longer works for the Power Rangers production crew. The most obvious Power Ranger reference was in episode 5, where Luka-chan as Go-on Yellow used her spinning wheel cuff on a Gormin. That weapon was only used in PR RPM, not in Go-Onger.
  6. Do yourself a favor and skip 2 Fast 2 Furious, as the storyline sucks and it practically doesn't fit the movie timeline.
  7. It's coming... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8KI_fAMXac
  8. What is with Michael Cole and his Popemobile booth? Here are the results of WrestleMania XXVII: United States Championship (Dark Match) Sheamus fought Daniel Bryan to a no-contest. Battle Royal (Dark Match) The Great Khali won the Battle Royal. World Heavyweight Championship (SmackDown!) Edge (with Christian) speared Alberto Del Rio (with Brodus Clay) to retain the title. After the match, Edge and Christian destroyed Del Rio's Rolls Royce. Cody Rhodes landed the Cross Rhodes on Rey Mysterio. That's what you get for imitating Captain America. Eight-Man Tag Team Match Kane, Big Show, Santino Marella and Kofi Kingston (replacing an injured Vladimir Kozlov) def. The Corre (Wade Barrett, Ezekiel Jackson, Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater). Randy Orton def. CM Punk after countering a top-rope maneuver with the RKO. Orton still sucks. Special Guest Referee: Stone Cold Steve Austin Michael Cole (with Jack Swagger) def. Jerry "The King" Lawler by disqualification. Austin landed the Stone Cold Stunner on Cole afterward. Undefeated Streak at Risk, Again - No Holds Barred Undertaker made Triple-H tap out to the Devil's Triangle. UT remains undefeated - 19-0 - at WM. Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match Trish Stratus, Nicole "Snookie" Polizzi and John Morrison def Dolph Ziggler and LayCool (Layla and Michelle McCool) (with Vickie Guerrero). WWE Heavyweight Championship (RAW) The Miz (with Alex Riley) def. John Cena after The Rock landed a Rock Bottom on Cena. Rock then did The People's Elbow on The Miz. Wow... no title changes at all on this PPV. What a surprise.
  9. Here's a big rumor (or an April Fool's joke) that's been circulating around the Super Sentai fandom: Johnny Yong Bosch (Vash the Stampede in Trigun, Kaneda in AKIRA), who played Adam/Black Ranger in season 2 of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, stated that he was going to Japan to "do some work". The rumor is that he will be in a future episode of Gokaiger, wherein he will give the Gokaigers and Gokai Silver the American Ranger Keys (maybe the Titanium Ranger from Lightspeed Rescue or the Spirit Rangers in Jungle Fury). In addition, the Gokaigers will change into Zyuranger in that episode.
  10. On this week's episode of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Episode 7: "Niki-niki! Kenpo Lesson" (ニキニキ!拳法修行) Legends of the Week: Hiroki Suzuki (Shuichiro in The Prince of Tennis) as Jyan Kandou, Ichiro Nagai (Dr. Sado in Uchuu Senkan Yamato, Happosai in Ranma 1/2) as Master Xia Fu (voice) Villain of the Week: Action Commander Pachacamac XIII Gokai Color of the Week: None Past Sentai of the Week: Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger (Power Rangers Jungle Fury), Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan (Power Rangers fans wouldn't know this) and Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger (Power Rangers Wild Force) Navi's latest clue to the greatest treasure of the universe is the "tiger child". While trying to figure out the location of the tiger child, the Gokaigers encounter Action Commander Pachacamac XIII, son of Pachacamac XII and successor to the Cosmic Kenpo fighting style. When our heroes barely survive Pachacamac XIII's attack, Ahim and Don discover an outdoor Kenpo lesson being taught by Jyan Kandou, formerly known as GekiRed. Today's episode wasn't a bad one; it's just that if I had watched all of Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger first, I'd appreciate it more. The fight scenes could have been longer and more intense, given the emphasis on Chinese martial arts. Jyan's interaction with the Gokaigers is the weakest among all of the legends so far. And the Gokaigers didn't seem to benefit from unlocking the potential of the Gekiranger keys; as a result, the Gokaioh battle was somewhat forced. Hopefully, next week's episode will be better. Easter Eggs 1. Gokai Red as Vul Eagle fighting Pachacamax XIII in front of the sunrise is a reference to a camera angle commonly used in Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan. Next week on Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Episode 8: "Little Spy Tactics" (スパイ小作戦) Gokaioh with a baseball bat. This I gotta see.
  11. On April 1, Toei premiered OOO, Den-O, All Riders: Let's Go Kamen Riders to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Kamen Rider franchise. In this film, an altercation between the main Riders of Kamen Rider OOO and Kamen Rider Den-O and an Imagin in 1971 inadvertently alters history, with the Shocker Organization dominating the world, and Kamen Rider #1 and #2 being their top agents. To defeat Shocker and restore time, OOO and the Den-Liner gang must travel back in time and pick up all of the other Kamen Riders. Hopefully, this doesn't end up being dull like the last team-up (Kamen Rider Decade: All Riders vs. Dai-Shocker). Official Site
  12. Well, since no one here wants to give a shìt about staying on topic, here's another '80s cartoon that's getting a DVD release. That's right, all five episodes in a single-disc MOD (manufacture-on-demand) for $14.95.
  13. I'm disappointed. Not only because they beat Robotech to the punch, but the fact that they should've cast Robert Pattinson as Heero Yuy and Taylor Lautner as Duo Maxwell.
  14. "The Emperor" gets his own commercial with Girls Generation.
  15. Even more good news. Also great to hear that Umeko-chan/ Deka Pink from Dekaranger will be there. This probably means her real-life husband - Yuji Kishi (Kyosuke Jinnai/Red Racer in Gekisou Sentai Carranger) - will be in the movie as well.
  16. Coincidentally, DC Direct has released a new replica of Wonder Woman's Invisible Jet.
  17. Speaking of Dancing with the Stars, where is Stacy Keibler?
