  1. More old-school rock and roll: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-xMDVxArkY
  2. Hollywood's like that these days. They release a bare-bones Blu-ray version and wait until X number of people buy it before they screw them over with a 2-disc version with days worth of extras.
  3. Yeah, I know. I can imagine all the screaming teenage girls rushing to the theaters to see Rick Hunter glitter like a Christmas tree and cry over the sight of Max Sterling's abs.
  4. That is truly outrageous. Truly truly truly outrageous.
  5. Blu-ray version is out, but I'll pass on it. I'll wait until the DVD version comes out here.
  6. I wonder how you know that. Past experience?
  7. For those who are fans of The Warriors, what are your thoughts on the 2005 Ultimate Director's Cut DVD? Do you think the added digital comic book effects were necessary?
  8. Time for some Cold War music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMT695h-UBE&hd=1
  9. They haven't announced who will play Nabiki. She'd better be equally kawaii, or it wouldn't be the Tendo sisters at all. Ryoga actually came first in the storyline. Shampoo was supposed to be introduced in season 2, but the anime got low ratings and was facing cancellation, so she was brought in to end season 1. Because episode 18 (the season 1 finale) got very high ratings, the show was retooled for a second season a month later.
  10. Tommy Wiseau - writer, director and star of The Room - plays Mortal Kombat on the first episode of his online show.
  11. Takahashi has a habit of leaving her manga titles open-ended and having the anime adaptations end with no resolution to the overall storylines. Mind you, I don't know how Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku and InuYasha ended, or if they ended at all. All I know is that the Ranma ½ manga ended by not ending the marriage issue at all.
  12. I'm sure they'll try to squeeze in Shampoo, but leave out the part of her turning into a cat. Ryoga may or may not be in the movie, as he was vital to Akane's character development in the manga and anime.
  13. Dr. Lang is not on the cast list because he wasn't considered at the time. But you gotta admit, a Robotech LAM with the Twilight cast is a brilliant idea. Bring in the two most gullible groups of fans into one theater and nuke it.
  14. Or better yet, watch the fan-made animation Superman Classic - and that's only 3 minutes long.
  15. This December, Ranma ½ returns to Japanese TV in a 2-hour live-action special. The much-forgotten manga/anime by Rumiko Takahashi (Urusei Yatsura, InuYasha) was Viz Media's bread and butter during the anime boom of the 1990s, but people stopped talking about it in the early 2000s. The TV special stars the following: Kenta Kaku as Ranma Saotome Natsuna as female Ranma Yui Aragaki as Akane Tendo Kyoko Hasegawa as Kasumi Tendo Maki Nishiyama as Nabiki Tendo Furuta Arata as Genma Saotome Katsuhisa Namase as Soun Tendo Kenta Nagayama as Tatewaki Kuno Yuta Kanai as Hikaru Gosunkugi Shosuke Tanihara as Dr. Tofu Ryosei Tayama as Vice Principal Okumata I wonder who will play Shampoo... Ranma ½ Live-Action Announced
  16. On this week's episode of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Episode 31: "Crash! Secret Operations" (衝撃!!秘密作戦) Legends of the Week: Masaru Shishido as Goro Hoshino and Tamao Sato as Momo Maruo Villain of the Week: Basco ta Jolokia Gokai Color of the Week: None Past Sentai of the Week: Chouriki Sentai Ohranger (Power Rangers Zeo) When Basco steals the greater power of Dengeki Sentai Changeman, Goro Hoshino and Momo Maruo of the U.A.O.H. execute their mission. Momo offers to give the Gokaigers the greater power of Chouriki Sentai Ohranger as long as they do her some favors, but at the same time, Goro attempts to make a deal with Basco to hand over the Ohranger powers in exchange for the Zangyack fleet's location. Weeks prior to this episode, there were rumors of Basco having acquired the greater powers of Changeman, Choushinsei Flashman and Hikari Sentai Maskman (all of which are too '80s for Power Rangers fans). What the rumor mill failed to mention was Basco's true form. Talk about a major evolution in character development, as he's changed from an arrogant prick to one of the most badass villains in Super Sentai history. And he really put the hurt on the Gokaigers. Aside from that, the former OhRed and OhPink make their return appearances. Momo-chan is still hot for her age, and she's still the same brat as 16 years before. Still, I can't wait to see how the Gokaigers deal with this cliffhanger. Next week on Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Episode 32: "One Power" (力を一つに) Doc works on a new Gokaiger weapon and the crew attempt to set a new world record for the most Gokai changes.
