    I'm guessing it's because of the plastic material of the shield. While majority of the blaster is hard plastic, the shield is made of the flexible plastic you'd find on some sports or P.E. equipment. I don't know if it's even possible to make such plastic see-through.

    On this week's episode of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Episode 34: "A Wish Come True" (夢を叶えて) Legend of the Week: None Villain of the Week: Action Commander Vannine Gokai Color of the Week: None Past Sentai of the Week: Denji Sentai Megaranger (Power Rangers in Space) Luka is paid a visit by Cain, an old friend of hers who has since become a wealthy businessman. But she falls into a trap laid out by the shape-shifting Action Commander Vannine, who disguises himself as Luka to destroy the Gokaigers once and for all. While this is just a filler episode, many tokusatsu fans have been keeping an eye on this due to the guest appearance of Yuki Kimisawa (Kirihiko Sudo/Nasca Dopant in Kamen Rider W) as Cain. Well, he really doesn't do much, other than become a plot device for Luka-chan's past before she was recruited by Captain Marvelous and Joe. Other than that, Luka-chan's dream is finally revealed to the audience. And that's about it. Next week on Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Episode 35: "The Other Dimension" (次元ノムコウ) Part 1 of the Engine Sentai Go-onger tribute.

    Actually, Flint Dille did not write Transformers: The Movie (that was written by Ron Friedman). He wrote most of season 3 and majority of the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero episodes.

    This movie is much better than I expected. It has a lot of subconscious plot twists like Inception, except that it feels more real. And some fans of Quantum Leap will get a kick out of a surprise cameo appearance. Oh yeah, Russell Peters is in it too - except his jokes aren't as funny as his actual shows.

    Hando (Romper Stomper) "This is our place gook boy, our place. What are you going here? Hey? The only thing for you here is pain." Neo-Nazi skinheads are the scum of the Earth, but this one from Australia takes the cake. Russell Crowe's disturbing performance as Hando may make you believe he's actually one of them. Throughout the film, he wages a losing war on a group of Vietnamese immigrants and then goes completely paranoid when his group is wiped out by the police. He displays no conscience at all and eventually dies a villain's death in the end.

    Yippee-ki-yay, motherf*ckers! John McClane is coming back for another Die Hard adventure on Valentine's Day 2013. A Good Day to Die Hard will be directed by John Moore (Max Payne, Behind Enemy Lines). Bruce Willis will once again play his iconic action film character John McClane, while Jai Courtney (Varro in Spartacus: Blood and Sand) plays his son Jack. Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Ramona Flowers in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Lee in Death Proof) reprises her role as McClane's daughter Lucy from Live Free or Die Hard. Playing the villains are German actor Sebastian Koch, Cole Hauser (William in Pitch Black, Benny in Dazed and Confused) and Russian supermodel Yuliya Snigir.     Nope. While it shares the same concept of a robot living with a family, it's different in plot. Metal Mickey was just a robot, while Vicki was a robot made to resemble a human girl and the family was trying to keep her robot identity a secret.

    On this week's episode of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Episode 33: "Hero Daaa!!" (ヒーローだァァッ!!) Legend of the Week: Keiichi Wada as Ryo of the Heavenly Fire Star Villain of the Week: Action Commander Zakyura Gokai Color of the Week: None Past Sentai of the Week: Gosei Sentai Dairanger (season 2 of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger (Power Rangers Wild Force) and Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger (Power Rangers Jungle Fury) When Gai loses his Gokai Cellular to Action Commander Zakyura's eating binge, he goes into a heavy state of depression. During this time, he bumps into Ryo, the former Ryu Ranger who now runs a Chinese restaurant. Ryo of the Heavenly Fire Star returns after having done a short stint in the 199 Hero Great Battle movie, and as expected with Gosei Sentai Dairanger, the episode delivers with top-notch Kung Fu action. The fight scenes show that old age has not gotten the best out of Ryo at all, as he mixes his Dragon Fist style with his former teammates' styles. The Gokaigers also deliver some of the best fight scenes as the Dairangers. And Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger seems to be getting more respect from Toei nowadays. It's too bad we have to once again see Hurricane Gokaioh finish off the bad guy, though. Next week on Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Episode 34: "A Wish Come True" (夢を叶えて) An old friend of Luka pays the Gokaigers a visit.
