  1. Here's a look at Cadillac's most recent concept. They should put this into production. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PD_PnD4K4oA&hd=1
  2. Wow, I'm surprised. What took them so long to get YouTube to delete Shadow Chronicles? Maybe they actually read my comment on one of them saying it's great to watch it for free instead of forking over our cash to those cocksuckers at HG.
  3. I got bored today, so I went out and picked up the 1/144 Entry Grade (EG) RX-78-2 Gundam for less than US$6.00. I was expecting this kit to suck royally, but it's actually not bad at all. The Chinese factory churning these kits did a good job replicating the texture of Japanese Gunpla. The box opens up to reveal the assembly instructions inside (not that anyone needs to read them, anyway). Enclosed is a small foil sheet that contains stickers for the eyes, chin, V-fin, chest vents, crotch and the yellow squares on the skirt armor. The kit contains four runners in three different colors: white, blue and red. Having no paint on this kit is no excuse, as the backpack and the two beam sabers are molded in one blue piece. The beam rifle is also one solid blue piece, and it's wafer-thin. As mentioned a few pages back, there are no elbow and knee joints, so the kit is limited to standing poses only, not to mention that the biceps and thighs are hollow on one side. There are, however, ball joints on the neck, shoulders, hips and ankles, so you can have it in an acceptable shooting pose. Surprisingly, the pelvis can swing sideways like the HG kits from the Gundam OO line, and it even has a port to accommodate an Action Base. Overall, it's not a bad kit if you simply want to kill some free time. Later this week, I'll post some pics of it alongside my 1/144 HG RX-78-2 Gundam Version G30th.
  4. Link fixed to a direct rip instead of some crappy webcam version.
  5. Thanks for taking the bullet for us, Legioss. Damn, that boxed set is more of a ripoff than I expected.

  7. It's a much better option than using Love Live Alive. Long before my most recent ban on RT.com, I convinced people there that Astro Plan 9 from Outer Space fits perfectly as it has the same animation level as Shadow Chronicles while maintaining the same kids' appeal of the original Robotech. Hell, the character designs look more appealing than Tommy Yune's artwork.
  8. And now for some Gokai News: Gokaiger vs. Gavan Finally Confirmed The next Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger movie premieres on January 21, 2012, and it will feature a crossover with Uchuu Keiji Gavan - the 1982 tokusatsu series that started the Metal Hero franchise in Japan. Kenji Ohba is slated to reprise his role as Retsu Ichijoji, best known as the Space Sheriff Gavan. Moreover, Ohba will also play Shiro Akebono a.k.a. Battle Kenya of Battle Fever J and Daigoro Oume a.k.a. Denji Blue of Denshi Sentai Denjiman. And apparently, according to this picture, Gavan and Doggie Kruger a.k.a. Deka Master of Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger are friends. Metal Heroes Joined the Legend Wars It has been rumored that in the Legendary Great War, the Metal Heroes joined the 34 Super Sentai in fighting the Zangyack Empire. For those unfamiliar, a few Metal Heroes titles were adapted by Saban Entertainment as VR Troopers and Big Bad Beetleborgs.
  9. isnt this the Chinese ripoff of MF? legal wise, could HG even negotiate for AP9? I don't see why not.
  10. On this week's episode of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Episode 35: "The Other Dimension" (次元ノムコウ) Legends of the Week: Yasuhisa Furuhara as Sosuke Esumi, Daisuke Namikawa (Kei in Gantz, Rock in Black Lagoon) as Speedor (voice), Hisao Egawa (Ginkotsu in InuYasha, Arthur in Mobile Suit Gundam 00) as Bus-on (voice), Miki Inoue (Akiko in GaoGaiGar, Hikaru in Lucky Star) as BearRV (voice), and Akiko Nakagawa (Sota in InuYasha, Silvi in Macross 7) as Bomper (voice) Villains of the Week: Pollution President Babatcheed and Disruption Officer Chirakashizky Gokai Color of the Week: None Past Sentai of the Week: Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger (Power Rangers S.P.D.), Battle Fever J (Marvel actually co-produced this) and Dengeki Sentai Changeman (too '80s for Power Rangers fans) The Gokaigers are paid a visit by the Go-ongers' support robot Bomper, who asks them to help her and Sosuke Esumi - the former Go-on Red - travel to the western-themed Gunman World and save that dimension from Disruption Officer Chirakashizky of the Barbaric Machine Clan Gaiark. Upon arriving, Captain Marvelous is challenged to a duel by the self-appointed sheriff Chirakashizky for the lives of Gunman World. Ah, yes... Engine Sentai Go-onger - the Super Sentai show loved by kids and very much hated by hardcore Super Sentai fans, mainly because of its overly childish appeal. And because of this, the Power Rangers folks took the suits and mecha and made a completely different story out of them to keep their now-adult audience, resulting in Power Rangers RPM. If you haven't seen Go-onger, be warned, for this episode contains talking toy cars and a lot of cheesy dialogue coming from them. This week's bad guy has a lot of badass potential, but is suddenly wasted by another use of Hurricane Gokaioh. At least we get to see the Dekaranger suits in action once again. And finally, we get to see the Gokaigers use Battle Fever J! But that's not all - this episode ends in a cliffhanger, with the Gokaigers trapped in Gunman World as part of Pollution President Babatcheed's plot to conquer the Human World, and a huge question mark looming over the greater power of the Go-ongers. Next week on Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Episode 36: "Pirate Partners" (相棒カイゾク) Engine Machlcon makes his debut as the next Gokai Machine.
  11. If HG were to reboot RT, they should just use Astro Plan 9 from Outer Space. That would save them tons of cash, as the animation and merchandise are ready. Hell, it's more entertaining than Shadow Chronicles.
  12. Here's an interesting read. Apparently, Spielberg discovered Tintin when the French newspapers were referencing the comic book series on their reviews of Raiders of the Lost Ark. At the same time, Hergé was a fan of Raiders, and he wanted Spielberg to make a Tintin movie. But before the two got a chance to meet in Brussels, Hergé died. Still, Spielberg acquired the rights from Hergé's widow, but left the film project untouched for nearly three decades due to script problems and other films. Movies: Inside Tintin
  13. Took them a while to get both modes done right.
  14. Yeah, but that won't stop anyone from uploading the A&E version, will it?
  15. Saw this movie earlier tonight, and it's a lot better than I expected, even though it's more of a kids' movie than advertised. I expected a hack job on the fight scenes, but they were very well choreographed; after seeing Sugar Ray Leonard's name on the credits as boxing adviser, now I know why. BTW, that Ambush figure looks nice, but I want to see Noisy Boy and Zeus figures.
  16. Not me. I'll just wait until someone uploads it on YouTube, which is inevitable.
