  1. On this week's episode of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Episode 39: "Why? We're High School Students" (どうして?俺たち高校生) Legend of the Week: Hayato Oshiba as Kenta Date Villain of the Week: Basco ta Jolokia Gokai Color of the Week: None Past Super Sentai of the Week: Denji Sentai Megaranger (Power Rangers in Space) and Mirai Sentai Timeranger (Power Rangers Time Force) The Gokaigers' latest clue to the treasure leads them to Moroboshi High School, where they meet Kenta Date - the former Mega Red of Denji Sentai Megaranger who is now a professor. But in order for them to acquire the greater power of the Megarangers, they must become his students for a day. The show finally does a Megaranger tribute. And while it's more of a filler than anything else, it's fun to see Luka-chan and Ahim-chan in school uniforms. Hayato Oshiba reprises his role as Kenta Date, who was originally a slacker in Megaranger, but has wisened up to become a professor. He doesn't do much in the episode, but it's still great to see him back in the small screen. Next week on Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Episode 40: "The Future Is in the Past" (未来は過去に) The former Time Yellow of Mirai Sentai Timeranger has the Gokaigers travel to the past to help the Shinkengers and Goseigers.

The eight Dwarves are Ian McShane (Blackbeard in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Tai Lung in Kung Fu Panda) as Caesar, Stephen Graham (Tommy in Snatch, Scrum in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) as Nero, Bob Hoskins (Eddie Valiant in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Spoor in Brazil) as Constantine, Toby Jones (Armin Zola in Captain America: The First Avenger) as Claudius, Eddie Marsan (Inspector Lestrade in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows) as Hadrian, Eddie Izzard (Roman Nagel in Ocean's Twelve, Miles Axlerod in Cars 2) as Tiberius, Ray Winstone (Admiral Orlock in Killzone 3, Mac in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) as Trajan, and Nick Frost (Butterman in Hot Fuzz, Clive in Paul) as Gus. 4. And now for a sneak preview of the TV special. Looks like Ryoga's in it, as this scene is where Akane's ponytail gets lopped off.
  5. Takara Tomy is really milking the hell out of the ROTF Optimus Prime mold. Dark of the Moon Striker Optimus Prime In-Hand Images
  6. They should've borrowed the suit from the Panda Cheese commercials. At least the cross-promotion would've given the TV special a win.
  7. The official poster has been revealed, featuring original artwork by Takahashi herself.
  8. Here's a slideshow of the new Robot Damashii Doraemon and S.H. Figuarts Nobi Nobita. Enjoy!
  9. No DoCo this time. Pop idol group 9nine will record the theme song "Chikutaku☆2NITE" for the TV special. 9nine to Sing for Live-Action Ranma ½
  10. Dodge resurrects two performance nicknames for their current-generation Challenger and Charger. 11. On this week's episode of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Episode 38: "The Power to Seize Dreams" (夢を掴む力) Legend of the Week: Tohru Furuya (Casshern Sins, Kyosuke in Kimagure Orange Road) as Aka Red (voice) Villains of the Week: Commander Walz Gil, Special Duty Officer Barizorg and Dogormin of the Imperial Guard Gokai Color of the Week: None Past Super Sentai of the Week: None After annihilating Gokaioh with Great Walz, Walz Gil orders Barizorg to hunt down all of the surviving Gokaigers. This leads to a final showdown between Joe and Barizorg. Meanwhile, an unconscious Captain Marvelous is paid a visit by Aka Red in a dream. Wow... for a minute, I thought this was the final episode of Gokaiger, as two of the main villains were wiped out in a big way and the Gokaigers acquire their own greater power. The Joe vs. Barizorg sword fight may be short, but it's enough to bring closure to Joe's quest to free Sid's soul. As for Kanzen Gokaioh, it really makes up for the crappiness of Go-on Gokaioh. I'm still not gonna buy the DX Machalcon, but I'm definitely picking up the Minipla version when it comes out. But with Walz Gil gone, it's now time to focus on Damaras and Basco before Emperor Akudos Gil shows up. Next week on Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Episode 39: "Why? We're High School Students" (どうして?俺たち高校生) Basco returns, and the Gokaigers get schooled by the former Mega Red of Denji Sentai Megaranger.
  12. That's an awesome model, but what's with all these douchebags quoting the same images over and over again?
  13. My absolute favorite in my collection is the Yamato 1/60 YF-19. BTW, drkstar00, please don't quote multiple images if you're just gonna write a single-line reply. It's very inconsiderate to other readers.
  14. Is it really necessary for you to quote all of those images?

Meanwhile, the Zangyack Empire are paid a visit by the Black Cross King, who offers to form an unholy alliance to rid the Earth of Super Sentai and conquer the planet. Lowdown In the history of Super Sentai, there have been different attempts to celebrate the franchise's anniversary, but they left fans disappointed. Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger vs. Super Sentai (2001) was good in concept, but lacking in execution. GoGo Sentai Boukenger vs. Super Sentai (2006) was a complete disaster. And while Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger is the best thing on Japanese TV right now, having them team up with Tensou Sentai Goseiger (last year's show and currently the least favorite in the franchise) had people worried that the Gokaigers' reputation would be tarnished. Fortunately, it hasn't affected the Gokaigers one bit. As a matter of fact, it's made them more badass than usual. At the same time, the Goseigers have actually become a respectful bunch in this movie. But it's not just these two teams that make this movie shine. Rather, it's the sheer overload of Super Sentai nostalgia it dishes out. You have veterans from Himitsu Sentai Goranger (1975), J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai (1977), Denshi Sentai Denjiman (1980), Dai Sentai Goggle-V (1982), Kagaku Sentai Dynaman (1983), Choudenshi Bioman (1984), Kousoku Sentai Turboranger (1989), Gosei Sentai Dairanger (1993), Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger (2004), GoGo Sentai Boukenger (2006), Englne Sentai Go-onger (2008) and Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (2009) making short, but notable, appearances. Fans will also have a complete nerdgasm when they see not only all of their favorite teams assemble in battle, but also the giant robots and vehicles as well. In short, Toei finally got a Super Sentai anniversary movie right, after several failed attempts. It's even better than what the Kamen Rider franchise has to offer. 16. Worse than Uwe Boll's works? I highly doubt it. Also, nothing can be worse than G.N.F.O.S.
  17. No, this is not a new Transformers movie. Coming this Christmas is yet another alien invasion film in 3D. The Darkest Hour chronicles the events of an electricity-based alien race that invades Earth and wipes out most of the population while draining the planet of its energy resources. Amidst the survivors are a group of American tourists stranded in the ruins of Moscow. The film is directed by Chris Gorak and stars Emile Hirsch (Speed Racer), Olivia Thirlby (Judge Anderson in Dredd), Rachael Taylor (Maggie in Transformers), Joel Kinnaman (Detective Holder in The Killing) and Max Minghella (Divya in The Social Network).
