  1. I got to say that I'm impressed with how DDP Yoga turned Jake's life around. Let's see how Scott Hall fares later this year.
  2. Here are this year's inductees to the WWE Hall of Fame: Mick Foley [to be inducted by Terry Funk] Bob Backlund [to be inducted by Maria Menounos] Trish Stratus [to be inducted by Stephanie Mac] Bruno Sammartino [to be inducted by Arnold Schwarzenegger] Donald Trump [celebrity inductee; to be inducted by Vinnie Mac] Booker T [inductor TBA] After over a decade of refusals, "The Living Legend" Bruno Sammartino finally accepts the WWE's invitation to the HOF. About time.
  3. That's like complaining about how a NASCAR stock car can outrun F1 and rally racers.
  4. As reported last week, the current-generation Chevrolet Camaro will receive a facelift for the 2014 model year. The facelifted model will also resurrect the Z/28 badge. Under the hood of the Z/28 is a 7.0 liter naturally aspirated LS7 V8 that produces 500 bhp and 470 lb-ft torque. Other upgrades include carbon ceramic brakes, a track-ready suspension, integrated cooling systems, aerodynamic tweaks and a weight reduction (300 lbs. lighter than the supercharged ZL1). GM reports that the upgrades give the Z/28 a cornering grip of 1.05 g. 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28

  6. Is WWE seriously gonna make Y2J job to this jabroni at WrestleMania?
  7. And now for another flashback. This is from the now-defunct Japanese hardcore wrestling promotion FMW, featuring Shawn Michaels as the guest referee.
  8. Here's the trailer to the second Garo spinoff movie Garo Gaiden: Tougen nu Fue (牙狼外伝 桃幻の笛) (Garo Side Story: The Whistle of the Phantom Peach).
  9. Here's the updated WrestleMania 29 card, along with my predictions: WWE Championship: The Rock © vs. John Cena Seriously, does anyone want to see that spinner belt again? World Heavyweight Championship: Alberto Del Rio © vs. Jack Swagger Last month, Swagger was arrested for marijuana possession and DUI. WWE has not yet reprimanded him, which probably means he won't win the title. Sheamus, Randy Orton and Mystery Partner vs. The Shield (Dean Ambrose/Seth Rollins/Roman Reigns) I've always hated Orton since his debut over a decade ago, so I'm not interested in this match. The Undertaker vs. CM Punk 21-0. HBK, HHH, Edge, Flair - they all tried, but failed. So why should CM Punk score UT's first WM upset? Ryback vs. Mark Henry Does anyone really care about Ryback? And how is it that Mark Henry has been able to hold on to his job in the WWE for over a decade while many of the top superstars leave the company after just less than five years? WWE Tag Team Championship: Team Hell No (Kane & Daniel Bryan) vs. Dolph Ziggler & Big E Langston Kane and Bryan have held the belts for too long, so expect an upset victory by Ziggler and Big E. And to think that Ziggler was a member of the Spirit Squad... No Holds Barred: Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar A new stipulation was added wherein HHH must retire if he loses. As much as I hate HHH's backstage politics, he's not gonna lose this match. Besides, Lesnar just attacked the New Age Outlaws, which most likely means that DX will gang up on him.
  10. According to this video report, Little Egypt tore an ACL during a match. Too bad I don't quite remember her, as I only got up to the end of season 1 when Tina Ferrari became the G.L.O.W. Champion. And I'm surprised that Billy Corgan is running an independent wrestling promotion.
  11. Actually, Lisa Moretti was known in G.L.O.W. as Tina Ferrari. She changed her stage name to Nina Ferrari when she moved to P.O.W.W. And even though she had some successful runs as the Women's Champion in the WWF, they never really let her use her full potential. I got to meet Lisa in person at RVD's 5-Star Comics back in 2004, and she is undoubtedly one of the friendliest wrestlers in the business. Here's a slideshow of a recent G.L.O.W. reunion by Angelina Altishin (formerly Little Egypt). And here's the official website if you want a DVD copy of Susie Spirit dislocating her elbow. 12. Finally, a documentary on the most notorious women's wrestling promotion of all-time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uIZMPcuGohk
  13. I'd never thought in a million years that the wrestler formerly known as Bubba Ray Dudley would become a world champion, but it's happened in TNA.
  14. On this week's episode of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Brave 5: "Boom! The Cavities of Ankydon" (ドゴォーン!ムシバのアンキドン) Now that the Kyoryugers are a full-fledged Super Sentai, their teamwork is put to the test when a Debo Monster causes innocent victims to develop nasty cavities. Then throughout all the ruckus, a new dinosaur appears and goes on a rampage with a serious toothache. Well, here's the most oddball episode so far. First, we have a monster that gives cavities to everyone. Then we have an old white guy parading around as a ghost. All this aside, this episode focuses on the tension between Black and Green, as Ian's rebellious nature pisses off Souji and he ends up fighting with a toothache due to his gung-ho attitude. Even more oddball is the merchandise displayed this week. Collect Gashapon points to get your own Gabutyra sleeping bag! We learn that there are 23 Zyudenchi batteries so far, and that the first 10 represent the original protectors of Earth. We are also introduced to Ankydon, which is #7 of the dinosaurs. Unfortunately, it turns out that the main cause of its rampage is not a toothache, but a new Debo Monster controlling it. Next time, on Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Brave 6: "Stop! Sing Canderrilla" (ストップ!うたうキャンデリラ) The Kyoryugers must do whatever it takes to free Ankydon from the Debo Monster's control, but what is the Deboss Army doing in the meantime?
  15. Diamond Dallas Page currently hosts his own reality show on YouTube called DDPtv. Since November, he's been helping Jake "The Snake" Roberts get his life back together after decades of drugs and alcohol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g97pMR6JeRg Earlier this year, Scott Hall moved in with DDP and Jake. Unfortunately, decades of pain and drug abuse have taken their toll on his left hip, and he needs help more than ever.
  16. I had completely forgotten about this... The final installment of The Twilight Saga nearly did a clean sweep at this year's Razzies. What stopped the movie from achieving this feat was Adam Sandler, who is always consistent at making bad movies annually. Nevertheless, Breaking Dawn Part 2 scored 8 awards out of 11 nominations. Making the nominations list was the Teletubbies ripoff The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure, which is one of the biggest box-office disasters in history (US$1 million out of a total budget of US$60 million). Here are the nominees and winners of the 33rd Golden Raspberry Awards: Worst Picture The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 Battleship The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure That's My Boy A Thousand Words Worst Actor Adam Sandler (That's My Boy) Nicolas Cage (Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and Seeking Justice) Eddie Murphy (A Thousand Words) Robert Pattinson (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2) Tyler Perry (Alex Cross and Good Deeds) Worst Actress Kristen Stewart (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 and Snow White and the Huntsman) Katherine Heigl (One for the Money) Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil: Resurrection) Tyler Perry (Madea's Witness Protection) Barbra Streisand (The Guilt Trip) Worst Supporting Actor Taylor Lautner (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2) David Hasselhoff (Piranha 3DD) Liam Neeson (Battleship and Wrath of the Titans) Nick Swardson (That's My Boy) Vanilla Ice (That's My Boy) Worst Supporting Actress Rihanna (Battleship) Jessica Biel (Playing for Keeps and Total Recall) Brooklyn Decker (Battleship and What to Expect When You're Expecting) Ashley Greene (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2) Jennifer Lopez (What to Expect When You're Expecting) Worst Screen Couple Mackenzie Foy and Taylor Lautner (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2) Any two cast members from Jersey Shore (The Three Stooges) Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2) Tyler Perry and his drag get-up (Madea's Witness Protection) Adam Sandler and either Leighton Meester, Andy Samberg or Susan Sarandon (That's My Boy) Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Madea's Witness Protection Piranha 3DD Red Dawn Worst Director Bill Condon (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2) Sean Anders (That's My Boy) Peter Berg (Battleship) Tyler Perry (Good Deeds and Madea's Witness Protection) John Putch (Atlas Shrugged: Part II) Worst Screenplay That's My Boy Atlas Shrugged: Part II Battleship A Thousand Words The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 Worst Screen Ensemble The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 Battleship Madea's Witness Protection The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure That's My Boy
  17. Alfa Romeo unveiled its latest sports car at the Geneva Motor Show. The 4C is mid-engine and rear-wheel drive, with a 1.75 liter turbocharged inline-4 motor that generates 240 bhp. Sure, that doesn't sound impressive, but because the body is made of lightweight carbon materials, it is said to do 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. Looks like the 4C will continue where the Lotus Exige left off. 2013 Alfa Romeo 4C
  18. Last November, Jeff Gordon lost a lot of respect from racing fans after intentionally wrecking Clint Bowyer (and eventually screwing him over a shot at the Sprint Cup Championship) at Phoenix International Raceway. This week, he gets a used car salesman punk'd for a Pepsi MAX commercial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5mHPo2yDG8
