  1. The Flintstones are returning direct-to-video in 2015, but you won't believe who's co-producing the new animated feature.
  2. On this episode of Hikounin Sentai Akibaranger Season 2: Episode 7: "Delusional Spy" (妄想間者) Special Guest: Nao Nagasawa (Nanami Nono/Hurricane Blue in Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger) as Hadezukin (voice) General Two unleashes yet another monster in the form of a ninja patterned after the Gouraigers of Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger. However, he and ©Na are at odds over how the monster is supposed to be presented. And their antics cause further mayhem on the real world, as a week has become 10 days, resulting in a month having only three weeks and the Super Sentai series reduced to 36 episodes per show (among other problems). It just gets worse: These new days are dedicated to banning anything otaku-related. As a result, Sentai Cafe Himitsukichi is just an empty room, and Yuko-chan is a wanted fugitive. Even General Two himself falls victim to his own plans, but it's here that he discovers who he has been facing all this time, as he bumps into the Akibarangers in the ensuing mayhem. But in the end, the Akibarangers manage to get the Hurricanegers and Gouraigers together once again and acquire yet another power-up, which is enough to restore everything back to normal. At least until the next episode. Next time, on Hikounin Sentai Akibaranger Season 2: Episode 8: "Delusional Beauty War" (妄想美闘) The hunt for General Two begins. Good boys and girls shouldn't watch.
  3. Do a Google search on "Atari Breakout", then select "Images". You're welcome.
  4. What I meant was that Fast Five brought back those characters, but not the story behind them. Sure, Brian and Roman mentioned they did "a job in Miami", but it doesn't directly refer to 2F2F due to the plot inconsistencies mentioned above. Or maybe Universal could simply rewrite 2F2F to imply that Brian was an FBI agent all along, pretending to be a fugitive. But that still doesn't solve the problem of Tej already having a garage.
  5. 2F2F is still an alternate timeline because of the following: 1. Brian was a fugitive that got his pardon after completing the job, plus he took some of the drug dealer's stash. Also, he made a lot more money in street racing. If this is the case, why would Brian return to L.A. and become an FBI agent? 2. In Fast Five, Tej mentioned that he dreamed of opening his own garage. He already had his own garage in 2F2F. He even gave Brian a day job and a place to sleep in Miami. Because of these inconsistencies, I've just accepted Roman, Tej and Monica as "new characters" in 5-6. There's plenty of evidence on YouTube, but I think this is sufficient:
  6. Tej: "This is gonna be awkward... Tej and Roman: "... but sexy as hell!" Yeah, it's a good thing the amnesia blocked out Letty's "bouncer mode", or else Elena would've kissed the floor right about now. Yes, the tank and cargo plane scenes were over the top, but you have to appreciate that majority of those stunts were real and not computer-generated. The CGI spamming killed 2 Fast 2 Furious and Fast & Furious for me. Personally, this is how I rank them: 1. Fast Five (2011) 2. Fast & Furious 6 (2013) 3. The Fast and the Furious (2001) 4. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) 5. Fast & Furious (2009) 6. 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) I'd recommend any first-timers to watch all of them except 2 Fast 2 Furious, as it's complete rubbish and does not fit into the continuity, no matter how you see it.
  7. Wrestling is fake? No sh!t, Sherlock. Here's the classic segment that became notorious when "Doctor D" David Schultz assaulted reporter John Stossel in response to the most common question about the "sport". Years after he was fired, Schultz claimed that he attacked Stossel under Vinnie Mac's orders. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hC3o20LgPs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdqrEcUhWNE
  8. Furious 6 Original Film/Universal Pictures, 2013 Directed by Justin Lin (Better Luck Tomorrow, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift) Based upon characters created by Gary Scott Thompson (Hollow Man, 88 Minutes) Running Time: 130 minutes Rated PG-13 for graphic violence and strong language Cast Vin Diesel (The Iron Giant, Riddick) as Dominic Toretto Paul Walker (Chris in Timeline, Jerry in Eight Below) as Brian O'Conner Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (The Scorpion King, Roadblock in G.I. Joe: Retaliation) as DSS Agent Luke Hobbs Tyrese Gibson (Epps in the Transformers trilogy) as Roman Pearce Chris "Ludacris" Bridges (Anthony in Crash, Jim Bravura in Max Payne) as Tej Parker Sung Kang (Raj in Live Free or Die Hard) as Han Seoul-oh (get it?) Gal Gadot (Miss Israel 2004) as Gisele Yashar Michelle Rodriguez (Diana in Girlfight, Trudy in Avatar) as Letty Ortiz Luke Evans (Apollo in Clash of the Titans, Zeus in Immortals) as Owen Shaw Gina Carano (Mallory in Haywire, Natasha in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3) as Riley Jordana Brewster (Jill in Chuck, Chrissie in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning) as Mia Toretto Elsa Pataky (Chris Hemsworth's wife) as Elena Neves John Ortiz (Guajiro in Carlito's Way, Ronnie in Silver Linings Playbook) as Arturo Braga Shea Whigham (Eli in Boardwalk Empire) as Agent StasiakRita Ora (British pop singer) as the London race girl Jason Statham (The Transporter) as Ian Shaw (uncredited) "You don't turn your back on family, even when they do." Synopsis DSS Agent Luke Hobbs is on the hunt for a band of mercenaries led by former British SAS operative Owen Shaw, who has attacked a military convoy in Russia and is assembling components into a powerful EMP device before selling it to the highest bidder. After revealing that one of the mercenaries is Letty Ortiz - who was presumed dead years ago, Hobbs has Dominic Toretto, Brian O'Conner and their gang reunite to help him take down Shaw in exchange for a full pardon and bringing Letty back home. Lowdown Fast Five proved to moviegoers and critics that The Fast and the Furious franchise has all grown up from a delinquent street racing movie to a full-fledged action film. So how does one follow-up with such a successful installment? Simple: you go bigger. Furious 6 raises the bar with non-stop action, intense fights and a cleverly written storyline that pieces up what actually happened to Letty in Fast & Furious 4. As it turns out, she wasn't shot dead; she survived the explosion, but ended up with amnesia. The movie also brings back key characters from the fourth film, as they are integral to the main plot. And for those who miss the days of neon and NOS, the lunacy is back. Furious 6 marks the return of street races and flashy cars to accompany the white-knuckle chases that leave nothing but a trail of destruction. The stunts are nothing short of insane and keep the adrenaline rush to the boiling point. Even the acting is solidly done by the core cast - an achievement once thought to have been impossible until Fast Five. In short, Furious 6 is "Die Hard on Wheels." Theater seats will need seat belts next time. And just like the previous film, stay tuned during the ending credits for a surprise. Toretto: "Not bad for a cop." Hobbs: "I never thought I'd trust a criminal. Till next time." Rating: B+ "Dominic Toretto, you don't know me. But you're about to..." 9. If you think cars today are too expensive, then you've never been to Singapore. No surprise, as taxes and duties are astronomical over there, and the country has the highest standards of Southeast Asia. Here are the reactions from the cast of Fast and Furious 6: Hollywood Stars Shocked by Singapore Car Prices
  10. We lost another Rock legend today. Ray Manzarek, co-founder of The Doors, died after a long battle with cancer. R.I.P. Ray Manzarek. Ray Manzarek (1939-2013)
  11. On this episode of Hikounin Sentai Akibaranger Season 2: Episode 6: "Delusional Niangniang" (妄想娘娘(ニャンニャン)) Special Guests: Moe Wakaki as Choco Nakagawa/Choco-tan, and Nobuo Tanaka (narrator in Dengeki Sentai Changeman) The Akibarangers meet their match in the form of an anime mascot. But just as this week's monster is about to prevail, a mystery idol suddenly joins the fray. However, things get out of hand when the battle reveals Akagi's true weakness: robotic girls. The show gets more hilarious when you get to know more about Akagi's past. But what really takes the cake here is Hiroyo-chan in a tight jumpsuit. In addition, we see what happens when Akiba Red combines the MMZ-01 Moe Moe Z-Cune with the MMZ-02 Munyu Munyu Zubaan: instant bankruptcy for all otaku. Next time, on Hikounin Sentai Akibaranger Season 2: Episode 7: "Delusional Spy" (妄想間者) Time for some ninja action. Good boys and girls shouldn't watch.
  12. WWE Extreme Rules Results: Pre-Show The Miz made Cody Rhodes tap out to the figure-four leglock. Y2J's Revenge Chris Jericho knocked out Faaannn... daaaaannnnn... gooooooooooo... with the Codebreaker. United States Championship Dean Ambrose landed a facedrop on Kofi Kingston to become the new U.S. Champion. Strap Match Sheamus tagged all four corners of the ring after landing the Brogue Kick on Mark Henry. "I Quit" #1 Contender Match for World Championship Alberto Del Rio made Jack Swagger quit to the cross armbreaker. WWE Tag Team Championship The Shield (Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins) def. Team Hell No (Kane & Daniel Bryan) to become the new Tag Team Champions. All three members of The Shield celebrated in the ring with their newly-acquired gold. Extreme Rules Match Randy Orton def. Big Show after landing the Punt Kick. WWE Championship - Last Man Standing John Cena and Ryback fought to a no-contest after Ryback rammed Cena through the stage lighting and both men were knocked out. Steel Cage Match Brock Lesnar nailed the F-5 on Triple H.
  13. Extreme Rules airs tonight on pay-per-view. Here's the card, along with my predictions: WWE Championship - Last Man Standing: John Cena © vs. Ryback As Cena is wrestling with a torn Achilles' tendon, expect him to drop the title to Ryback to give him time to heal. "I Quit" #1 Contender Match for World Championship: Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger At this point, I don't know if anyone really cares about who will face Dolph Ziggler, as Swagger's "We the People" gimmick is going nowhere, and Del Rio is not a convincing babyface. United States Championship: Kofi Kingston © vs. Dean Ambrose Extreme Rules will be The Shield's night, so expect Ambrose to take the title away from Kingston. WWE Tag Team Championship: Team Hell No (Kane & Daniel Bryan) © vs. The Shield (Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins) See above. Steel Cage Match: Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar Do we really need to see this match again, as their WrestleMania encounter put the crowd in dead silence? Strap Match:Sheamus vs. Mark Henry Mark Henry needs to retire. There's really no point in keeping him in the roster. Big Show vs. Randy Orton Orton still sucks after all these years. Chris Jericho vs. Fandango Y2J needs a big break after jobbing continuously for a year. Pre-Show: The Miz vs. Cody Rhodes I thought WWE was building up The Miz back to main event status after inheriting the figure-four leglock from Ric Flair. Why is he doing free YouTube opening matches?
