Pixar started going downhill since Cars 2. And when John Lasseter was given an executive spot at Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar's works got less interesting while Disney suddenly became awesome with Wreck-It Ralph.

Actually, the recap DVD that Saburo Hatte sent to the cafe on episode 13 of season 1 was clearly the indicator for season 2, as it included a letter telling the Akibarangers to reflect on the events if they wanted a second season. The final episode of season 2 was merely a goodbye. But then again, this series was really about Saburo Hatte, so he can simply snap his fingers and bring back the Akibarangers anytime. That is, if the actors are willing to return.

Unfortunately, they gave no indication of a third season. No hints, no sneak peeks, whatsoever. The fact that this season was given an ending may have sealed it.

Time to get back to the news on this sequel: The sequel takes place 20 years after the first film (presuming it took place in 1996). Roland Emmerich explained that because of the first alien invasion, the film's timeline will be more technologically advanced than the present day. Emmerich and Dean Devlin have mapped this project as a two-film arc tentatively titled Independence Day Forever Parts I-II, with James Vanderbilt (The Amazing Spider-Man, White House Down) in charge of the screenplay. Will Smith will not be in the sequel(s), as he is - according to Emmerich - "too expensive"; Smith also hates doing sequels. Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman have confirmed their return; Pullman's character, by this time, will no longer be President. The new films will have, of course, new characters. FOX is looking at a release date of July 3, 2015. Independence Day 2 & 3 Plot Details Revealed Will Smith Won't Be in Independence Day 2; Cast Will Be Half New Characters Will Smith: "Too Expensive"

Nah, that was for anime. And since Roger Ebert passed away, that portion of my reviews has been shelved for good. BTW, I just found out that the movie is 149 minutes long. Sure, that running time works for The Dark Knight, but this?

Over a year ago, Ford released a special edition Mustang GT to pay tribute to the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels. Now they have one to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Air Force's Thunderbirds. This Mustang GT with a glass roof and custom body kit is the first unit to be produced for the 2014 model year and will be auctioned for charity at AirVenture Oshkosh 2013. The proceeds will go to Experimental Aircraft Association's Young Eagles organization, which provides free flights to aspiring young pilots. 2014 U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Edition Ford Mustang GT

Time for a quick recap of the final three episodes: Episode 11: "Delusional Cemetery" (妄想墓地) ©Na's manipulation of Saburo Hatte has resulted in the death of the Super Sentai series, with her show taking over the Sunday morning time slot. The Akibarangers must battle ©Na and a resurrected Delu Knight to once again restore the Super Sentai continuity. Episode 12: "Delusional Apostle" (妄想使徒) Just when ©Na has the Akibarangers at her mercy, an "ultra" giant hero called Prism Ace arrives to save the day. However, his debut signals the absolute end to the Super Sentai continuity, as he is the product of Toei's rival company, which sent a spy to manipulate Saburo Hatte behind ©Na's back. Final Episode: "Delusional Compilation" (妄想集編) The Akibarangers recap their misadventures starting from Season 1 and explain the sudden change of continuity that led to Season 2. Oh, and because of the ending chosen by Saburo Hatte, R.I.P. Akibarangers. オワリ The End

Just read a little about that. He claims he was forced into the role when someone forged his signature in the contract. Currently, it's his second-worst reviewed movie (10% on Rotten Tomatoes). So Keanu in a bad guy role proved to be disastrous the first time around, but it was supposedly not of his choice. On the other hand, Man of Tai Chi is his pet project, so maybe he'll actually be a decent villain here.

Though it's supposed to be part of the Marvel anime universe, it appears to be a tie-in with the Marvel cinematic universe, as it incorporates a lot of design cues from The Avengers and some backstories from the first Iron Man movie.

Iron Man: Rise of Technovore (アイアンマン ライズ・オブ・テクノヴォア) Madhouse Studios/Marvel Studios/Sony Pictures Entertainment, 2013 Directed by Hiroshi Hamasaki (Texhnolyze, Ai Monogatari) Based upon characters created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Larry Lieber and Don Heck Running TIme: 88 minutes Rated PG-13 for graphic violence and strong language. Cast (English) Mathew Mercer (Tygra in ThunderCats, Kiritsugu in Fate/Zero) as Tony Stark/Iron Man Eric Bauza (Fiendish Dr. Wu in Black Dynamite: The Animated Series) as Ezekiel Stane/Technovore James C. Mathis III (T'Challa/Black Panther in The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes) as Col. James Rhodes/War Machine John Bentley (Fire Emblem in Tiger & Bunny) as Nick Fury Kate Higgins (Sakura in Naruto, Karin in Bleach) as Pepper Potts Kari Wahlgren (Witch Hunter Robin, Cher in Wolf's Rain) as Maria Hill Norman Reedus (Murphy in The Boondock Saints, Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead) as Frank Castle/The Punisher Troy Baker (Schneizel in Code Geass) as J.A.R.V.I.S. and Clint Barton/Hawkeye Clare Grant as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow Tara Platt (Temari in Naruto, Anna Williams in Tekken: Blood Vengeance) as Sasha Hammer J. B. Blanc (Joker in R.O.D. -The TV-, Enrico in Hellsing Ultimate) as Obadiah Stane Synopsis Tony Stark is preparing to launch his new spy satellite "Howard" as his contribution to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s war on terrorism, but the launch ceremony is disrupted by a group of terrorists led by Ezekiel Stane, the son of Stark's late nemesis Obadiah Stane. Making matters complicated is "Technovore", a new form of techno-organic armor Ezekiel uses in his quest to be the only dominant species on Earth. Story: C- This is one of the few examples of an anime adaptation of an American comic book title missing the mark. Iron Man: Rise of Technovore is bullet-riddled with loopholes that the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier can jump over. The pacing is horrid and the character interaction is almost non-existent. Maybe we were spoiled by Robert Downey, Jr., as his portrayal of Tony Stark "made you feel he's a cool exec with a heart of steel"; as a result, any small-screen incarnation of Stark is just flat. What's probably an insult to Marvel fans is Norman Reedus being topbilled in the credits, especially when the Punisher is only in the film for less than 10 minutes. Animation: B+ About a decade ago, when anime started mixing 2D with 3D, it looked cool. This, however, looks kinda cheap for a Madhouse production. The 3D looks good, but the 2D animation feels wooden. There are moments during the battle scenes where War Machine looks like a dark gray wooden block moving around the screen. Soundtrack: B- The musical score by Tetsuya Takahashi (Appleseed, Resident Evil: Degeneration), who has done the music for other Marvel anime titles, is just generic. Sub vs. Dub Unfortunately, I was unable to obtain the Japanese dub of this film. But by reading the supplied subtitles, the Japanese script has a lot of different dialogue that seems to have more wit in Stark's lines. The Bottom Line Thus, the decline of anime continues. Stick with the live-action movies. References Anime News Network The Internet Movie Database

The Lone Ranger isn't out yet, but it's already in the running for worst movie of the year. Eat your hearts out, Wild Wild West and Jonah Hex. Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 16% Metacritic Score: 40 "Who was that masked man? Who cares?" - Ty Burr, Boston Globe "Groan Ranger. Well, so much for 'best western.' This one's the worst - and then some." - Lou Lumerick, New York Post "This attempt for another Pirates of the Caribbean-scaled series tries to have it too many ways tonally, resulting in a work that wobbles and thrashes all over the place." - Todd McCarthy, Hollywood Reporter

In 2010, Jaguar first unveiled their C-X75 prototype to celebrate the company's 75th anniversary. It is a hybrid supercar powered by a 502 bhp turbo & supercharged 1.6 liter inline-4 engine paired with two electric motors that make 390 bhp, totaling to 892 bhp and over 738 lb-ft torque. Performance numbers suggest a 0-62 mph acceleration of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 220 mph. Yet despite its supercar looks and performance, it emits less than 80 grams of CO2 and has a pure electric vehicle range of 37 miles, making it as environmentally friendly as a Toyota Prius. Unfortunately, despite extensive research and development with Williams F1, Jaguar canceled the proposed production of the C-X75 on December 2012 due to the ongoing economic crisis. Jaguar would have produced 250 units a year at over US$1 million each. It would've been a worthy successor to the XJ220. Jaguar C-X75 - Official Site 2013 Jaguar C-X75 Prototype

It's been a long time since I've done an album review, so here it goes... Queensrÿche Century Media Records, 2013 Produced by James Barton Running Time: 35 minutes Personnel Todd La Torre: Lead vocals Michael Wilton: Guitar Parker Lundgren: Guitar Eddie Jackson: Bass Scott Rockenfield: Drums Track Listing 1. X2 2. Where Dreams Go to Die 3. Spore 4. In This Light 5. Redemption 6. Vindication 7. Midnight Lullaby 8. A World Without 9. Don't Look Back 10. Fallout 11. Open Road Washington state-based Queensrÿche was one of the pioneers of progressive metal music in the 1980s. In 1988, their concept album Operation: Mindcrime received critical acclaim for its tale of a junkie forced to commit assassinations through a mind-control drug. Their 1990 album Empire brought them mainstream success, with the ballad "Silent Lucidity" reaching the Billboard top 10 and its music video winning the Viewer's Choice Award at the 1991 MTV Video Music Awards. But shortly after that success, Queensrÿche - like other hard rock and metal acts - got lost in the shuffle throughout the 1990s due to the advent of alternative music. The band attempted to adapt to grunge music, but with little or no success. In 1997, the band was dealt with two serious blows as guitarist/co-founder Chris De Garmo called it quits and their label EMI America went bankrupt. Since then, Queensrÿche had been struggling at smaller venues while releasing albums under different labels. In 2012 - the 30th anniversary of Queensrÿche, after a heated argument and fight over the direction of the band's management, lead vocalist Geoff Tate was fired from the band. In retaliation, Tate sued his former band mates over the use of the Queensrÿche name. The Washington court ruled that both Tate and the band may use the Queensrÿche name until their final ruling on November 18, 2013. Early this year, Tate formed his version of Queensrÿche with different groups of veteran musicians and released Frequency Unknown, which was plagued with remixing problems and unanimously negative reviews. Meanwhile, the other party hired Todd La Torre as their new vocalist and spent more time in writing and recording their new album; and on June 24, Queensrÿche was released. The result: A complete rebirth. Queensrÿche brings the band back to its progressive metal roots, proving that it was Tate that held them back all along. The album brings back elements of the band's signature sound, such as dual guitar solos and harmonious choruses. La Torre behind the mic not only sounds like a younger Tate, he exceeds Tate's talent level by co-writing majority of the album. Such is demonstrated in the songs "Where Dreams Go to Die", "Redemption", "A World Without" and "Fallout". Despite a short running time, Queensrÿche is the band's return to form that takes the best of their past and refines it for today's hard rock/metal audience. And it's proof that there is only one Queensrÿche. Rating: A- Links Queensrÿche's Official Site Queensrÿche's Official Facebook Page

With a total worldwide earning of US$682 million, Furious 6 is undoubtedly the box office champ among car movies. Universal execs were so impressed by the numbers that they've ordered for Fast & Furious 7 to begin production this August, with a release date of July 11, 2014. Due to pressure over the production schedule, Justin Lin has vacated the director's chair, ending a stint that lasted four movies and seven years. Taking over his spot is Malaysian director James Wan (Saw, Insidious). Vin Diesel and Paul Walker will return as Toretto and Brian, respectively. Dwayne Johnson may or may not reprise his role as Hobbs due to his commitment on an upcoming Hercules movie. Diesel announced that F&F7 will take place in L.A., Tokyo and the Middle East (most likely Dubai). Fans were saddened by Gisele's death in Furious 6, but in perspective, it made a lot of sense with how Han's character was portrayed in Tokyo Drift. While he was a rather lively character in Fast & Furious 4-6, he was very emo in Tokyo Drift, having lost his loved one before moving to Tokyo. And while Furious 6 ended with Han's death in Tokyo Drift, it is unknown if the Tokyo Drift main cast will return for F&F7. In the meantime, check out this fan-made trailer before Universal slaps a C&D on the YouTube channel.

I always went 100-110 in my Mustang in California and Nevada without ever getting pulled over. The only time I ever got pulled over was in Tacoma, WA, when I did 60 in a 50 mph freeway overpass. The female officer who pulled me over asked me if I had anything to drink and if I was in the military (there's a naval base nearby). After finding out that I had a Red Bull and I wasn't in the military, she let me go.
