  1. I had the misfortune of watching the theatrical release of Highlander II: The Quickening when it first came out in theaters. Because of this, I'll never watch any attempt at correcting it, whether it's Mulcahy's 1995 "Renegade Version" or Panzer/Davis' 2004 "Special Edition".
  2. I thought it was weird when Mariko-chan pulled Logan's chopsticks off his rice bowl and warned him why it's bad table manners. Then after their long conversation about the situation they're in, she pulls Logan's chopsticks off his rice bowl again.
  3. Coming to theaters on March 14, 2014 is Need for Speed, the theatrical adaptation of EA Games' bestselling video game series. Directed by Scott Waugh (Act of Valor), the new film stars Aaron Paul (Jesse in Breaking Bad), Imogen Poots (young Valerie in V for Vendetta), Dominic Cooper (Howard Stark in Captain America: The First Avenger), Kid Cudi (some hip-hop artist), Rami Malek (Pharaoh Ahkmenrah in Night at the Museum 1-2, Lt. Hill in Battleship), Harrison Gilbertson (Callum in Conspiracy 365), Dakota Johnson (Fugazy in 21 Jump Street), and Michael Keaton (like no one here knows who he is...). Official Site Oh yeah, before Duke says it...
  4. Finally, FOX has done a proper Wolverine movie. No more spamming of random mutants. Just classic Logan taking the Yakuza to school. And Tao Okamoto is really hot.
  5. Oh yeah? What about Ace drifting toward the Sun? How'd he get there so quickly from Earth's orbit? And who could forget this episode that completely throws logic out the window?

  7. After over two years of being unreleased, this film has finally been picked up for distribution in the U.S. Entertainment One Acquires Indie Comedy Knights of Badassdom
  8. Here's a case of "... So that's why...": The film is written by Chris Morgan (The Fast and the Furious 3-6, Wanted) and Hossein Amini (Snow White and the Huntsman, Killshot). Maybe we can forgive Amini, as he wrote Drive.
  9. Like many episodes, this was wrong on so many levels, but still better than the live-action movies.
  10. Thanks for the review, MMX. Maybe I'll catch it online when someone posts it on YouTube.
  11. I'm surprised no one has posted pics of the toy in question. So here it is, courtesy of Get Some Grape Soda: And look - one auction ended at US$182.50.
  12. Hey look - another Hollywood butchering of Japanese history and folklore. 47 Ronin is a fantasy take on the tale of the Forty-seven Ronin (四十七士), adding witches and giants to the storyline, as well as a gaijin in the form of Keanu Reeves. The film also stars Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat, Heihachi in Tekken), Rinko Kikuchi (Chieko in Babel, Mako in Pacific Rim), Hiroyuki Sanada (Ujio in The Last Samurai, Shingen Yashida in The Wolverine), Tadanobu Asano (Genghis Khan in Mongol, Hogun in Thor), Kou Shibasaki (Mitsuko in Battle Royale), Jin Akanishi (former KAT-TUN member), and Rick "Zombie Boy" Genest (model known for his skeletal tattoos). Might as well call it "The Last Samurai Airbender". Official Site And just to spare Duke the time of posting...
