    Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby may be a work of fiction, but a couple of real-life incidents at Talladega Superspeedway mirrored the film. At the 2009 Aaron's 499 race, Carl Edwards crashed violently on the final lap. Edwards got out of his wrecked car and jogged to the finish line, just as Ricky Bobby and Jean Girard did in the film's final race. In 2012, Kurt Busch struggled with little or no sponsorship in his team after having left Penske Racing. So at the 2012 Aaron's 499 race, Busch's car sported the familiar colors of Ricky Bobby's "ME" car, complete with the cougar on the hood.

    Hot Toys' Silver Centurion somehow looks chunkier than their other Iron Man figures. Nonetheless, it's everything you'd expect from a Hot Toys figure when it comes to attention to detail.     I think one of the reasons for a weak Viper was the actress herself. Svetlana Khodchenkova probably doesn't speak a single word of English in real life, and it's obvious that she was dubbed over. If they had cast someone like Charlize Theron for the role, we would've gotten a more effective Viper. But I guess the Russian chick was all they could afford.

    I'm surprised the Aussies complained about the fake accents and not the geographical error in the portrayal of Sydney. According to what someone posted on IMDb:

    You think that's bad? Redline had it worse. The producer had his Lamborghini Diablo and Porsche Carrera GT destroyed on purpose simply because he was a subprime mortgage broker and he could just buy more cars. He didn't even flinch when Eddie Griffin wrecked his Enzo Ferrari in a charity race; he simply posed in front of the mangled car for the cameras.

    I'm glad Bandai is doing S.H. MonsterArts figures of Alien and Predator, but it's too bad the figures will be under a shitty movie instead of the separate films that made them iconic.
