The WWE and Pro-Wrestling Thread 2
areaseven replied to Apollo Leader's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
SummerSlam is just five days away. Here's the card: WWE Championship - Special Guest Referee: Triple-H John Cena © vs. Daniel Bryan - We all want Cena to drop the belt, but don't expect Bryan to be champ for long, or at all. Randy Orton taunted both men with his Money in the Bank briefcase on RAW. World Heavyweight Championship Alberto Del Rio © vs. Christian - Captain Charisma deserves to be champ again. United States Championship - Pre-Show Kickoff Dean Ambrose © vs. Rob Van Dam - RVD returns to the WWE Universe, and he's relegated to a pre-show?! Ring of Fire Kane vs. Bray Wyatt - As WWE Studios just announced the production of See No Evil 2, expect Kane to lose and take time off to do his movie. CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar - Tough call, given how dangerous Lesnar is. Expect Pepsi Boy to come out on top, though. Cody Rhodes vs. Damien Sandow - Both are great athletes in the ring, and both finally have a spotlight on them. So this is gonna be a coin-toss. Mixed Tag Team Match Dolph Ziggler & Kaitlyn vs. Big E Langston & AJ Lee - I don't care much about mixed tag matches, but the mischievous AJ has something up her sleeve. Natalya (with the Funkadactyls) vs. Brie Bella (with Eva Marie and Nikki Bella) - Two words: piss-break. Here's Steph to tell you more.- 715 replies

Condorman is another great guilty pleasure. Sure, the storyline was cheesy as hell, Michael Crawford and Oliver Reed wasted their talents on it, and it was a critical and financial failure, but it's a piece of your childhood you simply can't let go of.

Time to resurrect this old thread, as people have forgotten the reasoning behind the Worst Science Fiction Film of All Time thread (which is for movies intended to inflict harm among others). And to start, I'll just say that Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters is simply stupid fun for people who know when to check their brains at the front door.

Only one week left before its premiere, and the movie's cast is already stirring controversy. Despite playing one of the main characters, Jim Carrey has decided not to support the film due to the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting that took place a month after filming commenced. In response, Chloë Grace Moretz was quoted as saying: "If you are that easily swayed, you might see The Silence of the Lambs and think you are a serial killer. It's a movie and it's fake, and I've known that since I was a kid ... I don't want to run around trying to kill people and cuss. If anything, these movies teach you what not to do." Chloë Grace Moretz Blasts Jim Carrey's Stand Against Kick-Ass 2 Editor's Note: Do not make this a political debate.

My issue with that episode was the fact that Batman resorted to lethal measures to take down Deadpool, even if he can self-regenerate. He completely broke his own no-killing clause. If this were in the comics, Batman would've found other ways - non-lethal, of course - to incapacitate Deadpool instead of stabbing him through the heart, breaking his neck and using the Batmobile's guns on him. Because of this, it's my least favorite episode. BTW, I'm surprised no one mentioned that Toynami VF-1A statue in the beginning of the episode.

Michiaki Watanabe has a tendency to recycle his old soundtracks into other anime and tokusatsu titles. As a matter of fact, some of Dangaio's BGM was recycled into Shinkon Gattai Godannar!!'s soundtrack.

I haven't seen this movie yet, but if it was released in 1992, why does it look like it was produced in 1985?- 854 replies

Muppets Most Wanted is the upcoming sequel to the highly acclaimed 2011 film The Muppets. James Bobin and Nicholas Stoller will return as director and writer, respectively. All the main Muppets from the previous film will be back, with Walter having a significantly smaller role. The film stars Ricky Gervais (David Brent in The Office, Dr. McPhee in Night at the Museum 1-2), Ty Burrell (Phil Dunphy in Modern Family) and Tina Fey (Liz Lemon in 30 Rock). And what's a Muppet movie without cameo appearances? Scheduled to make cameos are Sean "Diddy" Combs (the most overrated rapper/entrepreneur), Celine Dion (some Canadian pop diva), Tom Hiddleston (Loki in Thor and The Avengers), Frank Langella (Robot & Frank), Ray Liotta (Tommy Vercetti in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City), Danny Trejo (Machete), Usher (he introduced us to Justin Bieber, unfortunately), and Christoph Waltz (Col. Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds, Dr. King Schultz in Django Unchained). Muppets Most Wanted is set for release on March 21, 2014. Muppets Most Wanted @ IMDb

Last week, during the SmackDown World Tour in Cape Town, South Africa, Randy Orton was attacked by a fan. The fan was a wrestler from an independent promotion who simply didn't like Orton and just wanted to vent out his frustration in the best way possible. It's a given that house shows have very poor security compared to PPV and televised events, but this is ridiculous. The guy could've had a gun or knife.
