Story: B Rooster Teeth, the company behind the popular Red vs. Blue series, presents to us their homage to modern anime and role-playing games. RWBY starts off with an action-filled pilot episode, as Ruby Red uses her Crescent Rose scythe to fend off against a group of thugs. Then the series slows its pace to introduce the central characters and mix both anime and western styles of comedy in between. Animation: B+ The cel-shaded animation is rendered using Poser Pro 2014. Some simplistic designs and lack of detail are signs of the series' low budget. Despite these shortcomings, the presentation wows viewers with its lovely mix of light and dark colors, and the way it captures the anime look. Soundtrack: A- Perhaps the show's strongest point is the soundtrack, which consists of the punchy power metal-oriented opening theme "This Will Be the Day" and an array of different ending theme songs. The Bottom Line RWBY may be low-budget and short on running time, but it sure beats whatever is on Cartoon Network these days. It's also one of the better western tributes to anime.     Throughout all this argument, I had completely forgotten two valid facts about Ben Affleck: 1. He played Superman once... sort of. Affleck played George Reeves in the 2006 biographical drama Hollywoodland. He said in some interviews that the role completely turned his career around for the better after struggling with Daredevil and Gigli. 2. He was da bomb in Phantoms, yo!

    Eventually, when the seventh film starts production, The Fast and the Furious will have its own thread. In the meantime, here's an update: - Jason Statham is the new villain. - Dwayne Johnson has confirmed his return in this film. - Female MMA fighter Ronda Rousey has been in negotiations to join the cast.     The World's End is the third installment in the "Three Flavours Cornetto" trilogy (following 2004's Shaun of the Dead and 2007's Hot Fuzz), directed by Edgar Wright and starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. The film follows a group of friends who stumble upon an alien invasion while bar-hopping. Also starring are Pierce Brosnan (Remington Steele, James Bond 007 from 1995 to 2002) and Rosamund Pike (Miranda Frost in Die Another Day, Queen Andromeda in Wrath of the Titans). The World's End opened in the UK on July 10 to critical acclaim (93% on Rotten Tomatoes) and will hit select theaters in the U.S. on August 23.
