It's been proven that Riddick is not only better than The Chronicles of Riddick, but also Pitch Black. Definitely one of the better sci-fi films released over the past decade, despite Matt Damon's average performance and Jodie Foster being miscast as a villain. Major props to Sharlto Copley for his performance as one of the most disturbing bad guys in cinema.

Kruger (Elysium) "It's just a flesh wound!" Talk about a complete psycho. Sharlto Copley delivers his best performance as a mentally unstable mercenary in the future who shows absolutely no mercy or remorse. Even a grenade to the face doesn't stop him. He's basically Clarence Boddicker mixed with Detective Stansfield plus some cybernetics.

On a related note, former WBO Heavyweight Champion Tommy Morrison has died at the age of 44. He played the villain Tommy Gunn in Rocky V. In 1993, Morrison beat George Foreman for the WBO Heavyweight Championship before losing it to Michael Bentt four months later. Then in 1996, he was banned from boxing after testing positive for HIV. Despite proving his HIV tests to be false positives, Morrison remained blacklisted from the sport. Morrison's record is 49 wins, 3 losses and 44 knockouts. R.I.P. Tommy Morrison (1969-2013).
