Looking at his biography, he's had experience in directing crime films in Brazil that won numerous awards. I wonder how his style will translate in a sci-fi environment.

    Just unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show is the Audi Sport quattro Concept, an homage to the original Audi Quattro that dominated the World Rally Championship during the first half of the 1980s. This concept is powered by a 4 liter twin turbo hybrid V8 that generates 700 bhp and 590 lb-ft torque. Acceleration from 0-100 kph (0-62 mph) is 3.7 seconds. Will Audi produce it?     You take that back! Eight-year-old kids wouldn't watch that crap! So anyway, I torrented this movie, and now I want my money back. As we all know, it's an overglorified recap episode with only one minute of brand-new animation that's more of a mismatch than M.D. Geist: Director's Cut and Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: A New Chapter. Of all the characters here, the cassette recorder on that reporter chick's lap gave the best performance. Other than that, Robotech: Love Live Alive is a total waste of time, money and bandwidth.

    The Asylum doesn't usually bring back the same actors for their sequels. So just think of any actor, actress or singer that hasn't been relevant over the past 30 years. After all, that's how The Asylum operates.

    Just came back from the theaters and I must say this movie is just wrong on so many levels, but very well-played on the apocalyptic theme mixed with bags of weed. While the story feels like a bunch of stand-up comedy skits sewn together, all the actors do a great job insulting each other while all hell breaks loose. The film pays a lot of small homages to Pineapple Express while throwing jabs at common horror film tropes such as exorcism. And Channing Tatum's cameo appearance will make your sides hurt for weeks. Yes, most people will say This Is the End is not as funny as The World's End, but that's not the point. Both films have completely different styles of comedy, and they deliver to their respective fans. If anything, this film makes me want to watch The World's End even more and get both movies on Blu-ray Disc. Here are a couple of reviews to explain more:

    This Is the End was originally released on June 12 and was met with critical acclaim, with fans and critics calling it the best comedy of Summer 2013 (at least for those who didn't watch The World's End). Directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the film is a remake of the 2007 short film Jay and Seth Versus the Apocalypse. The film stars Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson, along with a whole bunch of other actors, as they must deal with the apocalypse outside James Franco's house. And for those who missed out on the release, Sony Pictures brought it back in theaters on September 6. The rest of the world gets to see it for the first time starting this week.     There were actually 11 critics who liked Sharknado. Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 91% At least this guy was honest about it in his review, though he sounds like he's never seen an Asylum movie before.

    WWE Night of Champions airs this Sunday on PPV. Here's the card and my predictions: Kickoff: Tag Team Turmoil for a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championship The Prime Time Players (Darren Young & Titus O'Neil) vs. Tons of Funk (Brodus Clay & Tensai) vs. The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) vs. 3MB (any pairing of Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre & Jinder Mahal) vs. The Real Americans (Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro) - It's a roundup of the most underused superstars in the current roster. When all is said and done, it's gonna be the Prime Time Players, given the amount of media coverage surrounding Darren Young's recent coming out of the closet. WWE Championship: Randy Orton © vs. Daniel Bryan Will Bryan get his revenge, or will he get screwed over again, and again, and again? World Heavyweight Championship: Alberto Del Rio © vs. Rob Van Dam Here's what will happen: Ricardo Rodriguez, who sided with RVD after being dumped by Del Rio, screws over RVD to show he was working for Del Rio all along. Then he suddenly screws over Del Rio when Damien Sandow cashes in his Money in the Bank briefcase, showing he was working for Sandow all along. Elimination Handicap Match: CM Punk vs. Curtis Axel & Paul Heyman The main stipulation of this match is that Heyman must compete, or he's fired. Either Pepsi Boy wins this, or Brock Lesnar does a run-in and F-5's him. WWE Divas Championship - Fatal Four Way: AJ Lee © vs. Natalya vs. Brie Bella vs. Naomi Two words: Piss Break. WWE Tag Team Championship: The Shield (Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns) © vs. Tag Team Turmoil Winners The Shield were unstoppable the first time around, but when they became Vinnie Mac's cronies, they stopped being interesting. Regardless of which, expect them to hold on to the belts.

    The Neighbourhood Watch Alliance (Hot Fuzz) "The Greater Good..." For over two decades, Sandford in Gloucestershire has held the title for "Village of the Year", and there's a reason for that. Anyone the Neighbourhood Watch Alliance (NWA) sees as a nuisance to the village is "accidentally" disposed of, whether it's a horrible actor or a journalist who can't proofread right. They would've gotten away with it, had former London Sgt. Nicholas Angel not seen through the string of accidental deaths.

    I blame the poor marketing strategy by Universal. There was no hype over the film other than the trailers posted here. On the other hand, I can't help but think maybe Diesel himself held back the marketing. It seems that he wasn't in it for the money with this film; after all, think about how much bank he made with Furious 6. The way it looks, he simply did this movie as a love letter to the fans of Pitch Black and as an apology for those who were royally pissed by The Chronicles of Riddick.
