    Pacific Rim 7" Battle Damaged Gipsy Danger NECA, 2013 Made in China Contents Battle Damaged Gipsy Danger figure Chain Sword x 2 When the first wave of the Pacific Rim 7" action figures was released on July 2013, fans were disappointed by their lackluster presentation - especially Gipsy Danger, which had a bland paint job and came with none of its weapons. The second wave has arrived, and to keep collectors appeased, a Gipsy Danger repaint is among the figures in this lineup. The tag line of "battle damaged", however, is misleading; NECA simply took the standard Gipsy Danger figure and made it dirty, just the way it should've been released in the first place. Every blue panel has been darkened by an oil wash. Some of the tampo prints have been scratched off, and scraped metal effects have been added. Consequently, the figure reeks of enamel paint. As a bonus, the figure comes with two Chain Swords, which attach to the forearms. Unfortunately, the sword tabs are short, so they easily get disconnected. Both blades are in their fully extended modes; it would've been nice if one of them had all of the plates connected to form the actual sword. It also would've been better if NECA threw in a Plasma Cannon arm. As for articulation, nothing has changed. Though the figure has 18 points of articulation, collectors of Gundam or Transformers figures will be very disappointed by the limited range of poseability on the arms and legs. There are no bicep swivel joints and the elbows and knees don't have double joints to do full bends, meaning an Elbow Rocket pose is not possible. The design of the thigh armor plates interferes with the range of hip movement. As a result, there's not much you can do with Gipsy Danger other than standing poses. So yes, this re-release of Gipsy Danger is still a disappointment, but it still makes a good display piece and is adequate for those who are not willing to break the bank for the upcoming 18" figure.     Meanwhile, on the other side of pro-wrestling... It seems that Hulk Hogan's departure from TNA was the final nail in the company's coffin. I mean, just look at the single person responsible for TNA's current state. I thought Stephanie Mac's acting was bad, but this takes the cake. Rumor has it that the Carter family will be selling TNA very soon. Another part of that rumor is that Spike TV will buy it because they need a wrestling program. Will Vinnie Mac even bother to pull out his checkbook on this?

    Earlier tonight, on RAW: - Shawn Michaels will be the guest referee for the Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan match at Hell in a Cell. - This setup between Bray Wyatt and The Miz seems promising. - CM Punk will once again face both Ryback and Paul Heyman in the Cell at the next PPV. - Cody Rhodes & Goldust ended The Shield's Tag Team Championship reign, all thanks to Big Show. - It looks like there will be a match between Big Show and Triple H at Hell in a Cell, if not sooner.

    For those who can read Japanese, what was the email Sei's mom was sending? Also, the HG Build Strike Gundam Full Package is a vast improvement over the old HG Strike. Don't really mind the sheer number of stickers, as I can simply paint those panels. And after seeing this in action, I gotta have it.

    To no surprise, the critics aren't impressed. Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 31% - "While possessed with the same schlocky lunacy as its far superior predecessor, Machete Kills loses the first installment's spark in a less deftly assembled sequel."

    "You hit like a vegetarian." Just came back from watching this movie. If you're expecting to park your brain at the front door, you will be disappointed. This movie requires a lot of logical thinking during the first two acts - something rarely found on any Stallone or Schwarzenegger film. Then the action starts to kick in on the third act. Escape Plan has a bunch of flaws on its script, but it makes for a good action thriller. "Boom."

    Scorpio (Dirty Harry) "No, don't pass out on me now cop! No, no, no, no, no. Do we understand each other? I said do we understand each other? Listen up cop, I changed my mind. I'm going to let her die, I just wanted you to know that." Loosely based on the Zodiac Killer, who murdered five people between the 1960s and 1970s and remains at large, "Scorpio" is a deranged serial killer obsessed with murdering people for ransom. After a failed assassination attempt on a priest, Scorpio abducts and rapes a 14-year-old girl before burying her alive and demanding a $200,000 ransom for her life. Despite Detective Harry Callahan's willingness to play ball with him while delivering the ransom money, Scorpio decides to let the girl die anyway. Scorpio is arrested, but shortly released due to Callahan's violation of the Fourth Amendment. Furthermore, he hires a thug to beat him up and put the blame on Callahan. After leaving the hospital, Scorpio holds a school bus hostage and once again demands a ransom, along with a plane to leave the country. But his plans are once again thwarted by Callahan for good. Andy Robinson's performance as Scorpio was so convincing that he received death threats from people who watched Dirty Harry. In the years to come, the character would become one of the core inspirations for Heath Ledger's portrayal of The Joker in The Dark Knight.

    For the longest time, I never needed to read the instruction sheet to transform any figure, regardless of class. Then I picked up ROTF Leader Prime. After 45 minutes of struggling with which part goes where, I cheated. And that was the last time I read a TF instruction sheet. That being said, it still is the best transforming representation of movie Optimus Prime. This new one is not the worst Optimus Prime toy (Armada Prime holds that title), but an embarrassment in terms of engineering and design.
