  1. Of course. It wouldn't be Police Story without him. You should definitely watch the original 1985 version, as it has some of his best stunt work - including a scene where Jackie slides down a shopping mall pole, suffering second degree burns and a back injury while destroying thousands of Christmas lights. Production crew nicknamed the film "Glass Story" due to the sheer amount of sugar glass window panes used in the mall fight scene. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtwUgKCWpZ0
  2. Time for a classic car moment. While Matthew Broderick had his best friend's dad's prized 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spider in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Tom Cruise drove around the streets of Chicago with his dad's Porsche 928 (before accidentally letting it sink into Lake Michigan) in Risky Business. To be behind the wheel of a Porsche with Rebecca De Mornay next to you, what more could you ask? "Porsche. There is no substitute." Quest for RB 928
  3. Jackie Chan reboots the Police Story series once again this Christmas. Police Story 2013 takes place in Mainland China instead of Hong Kong. And much like 2004's New Police Story, this film is darker and grittier than the original 1985 film. Jackie Chan even had his hair cut short to look like a Mainland Chinese officer. Police Story 2013 hits Chinese cinemas on Christmas Eve.

  5. WWE Hell in a Cell Results: Pre-Show Kick-Off Damien Sandow pinned Kofi Kingston after using his full nelson slam. WWE Tag Team Championship - Triple-Threat Cody Rhodes & Goldust © def. The Shield (Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns) and The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) after Cody landed the Cross Rhodes on Rollins. There goes the Shield's momentum. Piss-Break: Mixed Tag Team Summer Rae & Faaannn... daaaaannnnn... gooooo... def. Natalya & The Great Khali after Summer reversed Natalya's Sharpshooter into a rollup. WWE United States Championship Big E Langston def. Dean Ambrose © by count-out. Handicap Hell in a Cell CM Punk def. Ryback & Paul Heyman after nailing Ryback with a kendo stick and made him GTS. After the match, Pepsi Boy also made Heyman GTS. Los Matadores (Fernando & Diego) def. The Real Americans (Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro) after double-teaming Swagger. So much for that momentum as well. World Heavyweight Championship John Cena landed the AA on Antonio Del Rio © to become the new World Champion. Yawn. At least WWE finally remembers Sandow's Money in the Bank clause. WWE Divas Championship AJ Lee © did the Black Widow on Brie Bella to retain the title. Hell in a Cell for the Vacant WWE Championship - Guest Referee: Shawn Michaels Randy Orton def. Daniel Bryan to regain the WWE title after HBK landed some Sweet Chin Music on Bryan. Typical KLIQ maneuver is so typical.
  6. Man, I really can't wait to get my hands on this movie. The first one was already awesome. Fantastic Fest 2013 Review: Ninja: Shadow of a Tear "This sequel to Ninja finds Casey going out for revenge and ultimately defeating a much bigger conspiracy than just the one against his family. It is loaded with fights: really awesome work whether Casey is sparring, picking fights in a rage or actually going up against bad guys. Hollywood movies don’t give you this much value." - Fred Topel, CraveOnline

  8. A couple of classic songs from Tarantino's films:
  9. Hal Needham, veteran stuntman and film director, died today at the age of 82. He was best known as Burt Reynolds' stunt double before directing his biggest hit, Smokey and the Bandit, in 1977. He also went on to direct The Cannonball Run and its sequels. As this thread is about the worst sci-fi (and sometimes not sci-fi) movies ever made, let's remember him for one of his works. R.I.P. Hal Needham. Hal Needham, Veteran Hollywood Stuntman and Director, Dies at 82
  10. No Retreat, No Surrender is such a horribly-made film. The production is atrocious, the storyline is an early clone of The Karate Kid, and the acting is beyond laughable. But what saves a portion of the movie is Van Damme and the fight choreography. So yeah, it's a guilty pleasure - a painful one at that. Also, Bloodsport, Kickboxer and Universal Soldier are classics. As a matter of fact, Bloodsport should be considered a benchmark for filming a proper martial arts film. Why feel guilty about liking them?
  11. Speaking of Van Damme, a word from our sponsors: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyZtRO7cXgs
  12. Guilty Pleasure of the Moment: Jean-Claude Van Damme Movies "The Muscles from Brussels" has been the bane of critics for the past three decades, starring in over 20 films that are certified "Rotten" on Rotten Tomatoes. As one of the biggest action stars in the 1980s and 1990s, Van Damme was often typecast as a kickboxing Frenchman due to his accent. Movies such as No Retreat, No Surrender, Bloodsport, Kickboxer, Double Impact, Universal Soldier, Hard Target and Timecop have their fans here on the boards, while shlock like Cyborg, Street Fighter: The Movie, The Quest, Double Team, Knock Off and Inferno (Desert Heat) belong in the recycle bin. No one had ever taken him seriously until JCVD in 2008, where he played a fictional version of himself. JCVD won unanimous praise from the same critics that normally hate him. Despite that one bit of success, Van Damme continues to relegate his career to direct-to-video releases. Of all the hits and misses dished out by Van Damme, which ones would you consider your guilty pleasures?
  13. Batman vs. Superman Rumor: Next Batmobile Based on a Cadillac Historically, a black Cadillac was the first live-action Batmobile, as seen in the 1943 serial. Perhaps this new one will be a direct homage?
  14. It seems that Michael B. Jordan has been confirmed to play the Human Torch, according to sources. Meanwhile, the search for the next Invisible Girl is down to Saoirse Ronan (13-year-old Briony Tallis in Atonement), Kate Mara (Kristi in 127 Hours), and Margot Robbie (Laura in Pan Am). Michael B.
