    I really don't understand why the 1982 Annie film needs to be remade. Sure, the critics were not very kind to that film when it first came out, but to everyone who had never seen the original Broadway musical, it has been, and always will be, Annie. The 1999 Disney version may have been favored more by critics, but it has no soul. The issue with this new reboot is not about race, but about adapting it in a present day setting. The 1982 film worked because of the Great Depression backdrop that characterized the "Hard Knock Life" in the orphanage. What will this reboot use - the American recession? Daddy Warbucks' fortunes from supplying weapons to the armed forces made perfect sense; Jamie Foxx's character as a wealthy politician does not. And I'm sorry, but I just don't see Cameron Diaz as the evil Miss Hannigan. Oh yeah - Jay-Z's name is on it. No surprise there.

But he's blocked from exiting the ring before Jeet Kune Do artist Toshiro challenges him, then the bloodthirsty Mad Dog comes out to play.

    What's a great action movie without a fight or two? Post your favorites here. To start, here's a great example: They Live (1988) Nada (Roddy Piper) discovers through a special pair of sunglasses that Los Angeles is overrun by aliens (extraterrestrial, BTW). He tries to convince Frank Armitage (Keith David) to put the glasses on, but Frank's refusal sparks a back alley brawl that is perfectly choreographed. South Park even paid homage to this scene on the episode "Cripple Fight".

    Mr. Peabody & Sherman is a 3D animated film based on characters from the 1960s cartoon series The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. In this film, the genius dog Mr. Peabody, along with his adopted son Sherman and a girl named Penny, must travel back in time and restore all the damage done by Sherman and Penny before the space-time continuum is destroyed. The film is directed by Rob Minkoff (The Lion King, Stuart Little 1-2) and features the voices of Ty Burrell (Phil in Modern Family, Jean-Pierre Napoleon in Muppets Most Wanted), Max Charles (young Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man), Ariel Winter (Carrie/Robin in Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, young Trixie in Speed Racer), Stephen Colbert (The Colbert Report), Leslie Mann (Judd Apatow's wife), Allison Janney (C. J. Cregg in The West Wing, Peach in Finding Nemo), Mel Brooks (Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs), and Stanley Tucci (George in The Lovely Bones, Joshua in Transformers: Age of Extinction).     Like I said in previous comments, Saban is cheap. Several actors and actresses from the previous seasons were turned down by Saban because they couldn't afford them. At the same time, those that did get offers from Saban rejected them because the proposed pay was only enough to cover their plane ticket to New Zealand and they would have to foot the living expenses themselves. I guess Saban's excuse is how much they're gonna pay Jason David Frank when he returns.

    On this week's episode of Power Rangers Super Megafarce: Episode 3: "Blue Saber Saga" After suffering a crushing defeat at the hands of the newest Armada monster, Noah must do what it takes to prove himself as the better swordsman. For this episode, the series attempts a faithful adaptation of Gokaiger episode 4, but with the usually flat acting. Emma is hot and all, but her acting is not getting any better. And the production team must have run short on their make-up budget that you can see the zits on Noah's forehead. On the bright side, the series shows that the Rangers can go directly to Gokaiger mode without going through Goseiger mode. Once again, the series deals with pre-MMPR issues the way it usually does. In the Gokaiger version, the Gokaigers minus Gokai Blue change into different Whites (including Big One from J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai); this version replaces the Whites with S.P.D. (mainly because the suits were just used in the previous episode). But that's not all - Gosei has unlocked the Mystic Force powers so that the Rangers can use the Mystic Dragon Zord. If this is the case, why doesn't Gosei just give the Rangers all of the powers since he's the only one capable of unlocking them? Once again, the series misses the point of having the Ranger Keys and unlocking their powers. "Now that's another Super Mega Fail."
