  1. Kingsman: The Secret Service is an upcoming British spy film directed by Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class), based on the comic book series The Secret Service by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. The film stars the following: Colin Firth (Prince Albert in The King's Speech, Mark Darcy in Bridget Jones's Diary) as Harry Hart a.k.a. Galahad Samuel L. Jackson (Robber in Coming to America, Robby Jackson in Patriot Games) as Richmond Valentine Michael Caine (Get Carter, Harry Palmer in The IPCRESS File) as Chester King a.k.a. Arthur Taron Egerton as Gary "Eggsy" Unwin Mark Strong (Sinestro in Green Lantern, Frank in Kick-Ass) as Merlin Sofia Boutella (famous hip-hop dancer) as Gazelle Sophie Cookson as Roxy Samantha Womack as Michelle Unwin Hanna Alström as Princess Tilde of Sweden Bjørn Floberg as the Swedish Prime Minister Mark Hamill (Sean in Wiazrds, Cocknocker in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back) as Prof. James Arnold Jack Davenport (Norrington in Pirates of the Caribbean) as Lancelot The film hits theaters on February 12, 2015. 2. The space mission report on TV was mostly random, but if anything, it's more closely-related to Charlton Heston's ship from the 1968 film. Meanwhile... Also, the ending is so...
  3. Koba (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) "Human... work. Human... work. Human... work! HUMAN... WORK!!!" Easily the most menacing primate in film history. Having been a test subject for years, Koba despises all humans and will not hesitate to kill them - as seen when he pushed Gen-Sys CEO Steven Jacobs off the Golden Gate Bridge in Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
  4. I agree with both Chris Stuckmann and Jeremy Jahns - Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is one of the best sci-fi films of the year. Andy Serkis and Toby Kebbell make this film shine as Caesar and Koba, respectively. While the storyline is typical of any post-apocalyptic survival movies, it draws a lot of inspiration from Native American wars in American history. Unlike Rise of the Planet of the Apes, where the humans were clearly the villains, Dawn draws a gray area between both the Apes and the surviving humans due to the conflicting ideals of Caesar and Koba. Despite his limited screen time, Gary Oldman is awesome as always. Without a doubt, you should never miss this film. Just make sure to watch Dawn of the Planet of the Apes first to understand the history of Caesar. Both films will make you forget the 2001 Tim Burton version ever existed.
  5. WWE Battleground is on Sunday, July 20. Here's the card, along with my predictions: WWE Championship (Fatal Four-Way): John Cena © vs. Kane vs. Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns Everyone watching WWE wants Reigns to be the next Champion, but Triple-H & Co. still think he's green for the title, so expect Vanilla Ice to win again. Yawn. WWE Intercontinental Championship Battle Royal On the June 27 episode of SmackDown, Bad News Barrett suffered a torn shoulder after being rammed through the barricade by Jack Swagger. As a result, he has been stripped of the I-C title. Already confirmed to participate are Alberto Del Rio, Big E, Bo Dallas, Cesaro, Curtis Axel, Damien Sandow, Dolph Ziggler, Faaannn... daaaaannnnn... goooo... , Kofi Kingston, Rob Van Dam, Ryback, Sheamus, and The Great Khali. More names to be announced within the next week, but place your bets on Cesaro, Sandow, or Ziggler. WWE Tag Team Championship (2 out of 3 Falls): The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) © vs. The Wyatt Family (Luke Harper & Erick Rowan) This feud has gone way past its shelf date. Just give the belts to the Wyatts. WWE Divas Championship: AJ Lee © vs. Paige Yes, they're both hot, but AJ can't draw a good match while Paige's momentum during her title reign has died out. If anything, WWE should have the title change hands between the two every other week and develop a proper Diva feud. Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt Sad to say but every time Y2J returns to WWE, it's only for him to job to a current Superstar. Sister Abigail, 1-2-3, done. Rusev vs. Jack Swagger Another piss-break.
  6. "Who ya gonna call?" This Labor Day weekend, relive one of the most iconic films in history. Ghostbusters will be remastered in 4K high-definition and will hit theaters on August 29 for one week only. In addition, Ghostbusters I & II will be released on Blu-ray Disc Collector's Editions on September 16. Official Site
  7. Here's a rather depressing flashback, considering that practically everyone involved in this match is no longer with us.
  8. Since this is the only open Robotech thread, I'll just park these here. (Sorry, no English version available...)
  9. Since Duel hasn't posted here for over a week, it's safe to say that this movie won. On to our next topic... Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is hitting theaters this month, and it's already been hailed as one of the best sci-fi films ever produced. But we're not going to talk about that film. Instead, let's focus on the one that nearly killed the franchise over a decade ago. And rest assured, once Duel emerges from his coma, he'll defend the crap out of this.
